@titiloyeblog.com No fewer than sixteen people have been confirmed dead following an auto crash involving about three vehicles in Kano State, north-west Nigeria. The accident took place at Tukai village in Danbatta Local Government area of the state. An eyewitness told Channels Television that the three vehicles were coming from different directions before they collided. “There was an accident involving a 406 Peugeot, Volkswagen Golf and Honda Accord, which happened at about 7 pm (on Friday). All victims, including the drivers, died in the crash,” he said. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Sector Command in the state confirmed the incident to Channels Television on Saturday. According to the Public Relations Officer of the FRSC Command, Kabiru Ibrahim, the incident occurred as a result of over-speeding. He said, “the vehicles collided from opposite directions, the cause of which, I can authoritatively tell you were due to speed limit violation and subsequent loss of control by the drivers.”Ibrahim explained that the golf car took off from Daura to Kano while the Peugeot car was coming from Kano when they collided. He added, “a team of policemen has recovered N579, 000 and 10,000 CFA Niger Republic’s currency, and plans are underway to hand over the money to the relatives of the victims once we identify them”.source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/05/16-people-confirmed-dead-in-kano-road.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

@titiloyeblog.com Honourable Patrick Obahiagbon on an interview with Punch newspaper explaining why his English WAEC result was seized twice. Below were the questions and responses; Did you write exams in school in these big words? I used such words very-very freely in my exams both at the secondary school and in my university and little wonder I had the misfortune of my English results being seized intermittently in my O’ Levels. WAEC released my results for the other subjects and withheld my English result. This happened for about three years. Twice, I passed the University Matriculation Examination but I could not proceed to the University because of my English results that were not released. At the end of the day, it was released after the third attempt. Why do you always use ‘big grammar’? I am not really consensus ad idem with those who opine that my idiolect is advertently obfuscative. No no no, it’s just that I am in my elements when the colloquy has to do with the pax nigeriana of our dreams and one necessarily needs to fulminate against the alcibiadian modus vivendi of our prebendal political class. How do you talk to your wife, children, and even your friends? I relate with my family and friends very warmly and in an atmosphere of camaraderie, stripped of my confutational habiliment and gladiatorial homilies. I am a very peaceful, calm, level-headed and celestially attuned soul personality. Is this the way you proposed to your wife, speaking high tech grammar? Honourable - Of course, the business of the day when I interfaced with my wife on matters of the heart had to be in plain Caeser’s language and you can decipher why that had to be so. The matter in view did not permit itself of sphinxian conundrum. Do you know that many people don’t take you too seriously when you talk because they think you are not communicating? Why will I be perturbed from ensconcing myself in the palatable arms of Morpheus because people have deprived themselves of the cultivation of the regime of the mental magnitude? I read all the farrago of baloneys and vacuous bunkum from pepper soup objurgators. The spirit of animadversion remains their fundamental human right. It also remains an indubitable fact that I get millions and millions of requests daily from people all over the world requesting for my verbal mentorship which positive cosmopolitan reactions have assisted my equipoise and righteous sense of pachydermatous garb. I cannot put my nose to the grindstone daily and expect to be understood by those luxuriating in a modus vivendi, verging on pepper souping, goat heading, suyaing, big stouting and isiewulising. Has a philosophical wag not once pontificated that things of the spirit are spiritually discerned and that it takes the deep to call the deep? We will speak more on this matter of critiques and chichi dodo another day. Why do you pull your trousers up beyond the waist? Hahahaha….That trousers style is called Yohji Yamamoto. It was my own audacious statement to remonstrate against the pervasive tendency of Nigerians especially our youths that took to the practice of putting on trousers exposing their lower anatomical contours and I will do it over and over again. source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/05/why-waec-seized-my-english-result-twice.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44, olawalebabs, Fynestboi, Richiez

@titiloyeblog.com A 26-year-old hairdresser, Kenile Nwabuzor, has reportedly committed suicide after her boyfriend identified as David, called off their two-year relationship on April 11th. Reports showed that David in an interview, said he met Kenile shortly after her mother's death and that they had a rocky relationship as she felt inferior to him because she was a secondary school leaver. On April 11th after they called off their relationship, Kenile reportedly sent him a text lamenting he had made life miserable for her and that she would soon kill herself. “She was my girlfriend and I loved her so much. We started dating each other about two years ago. She was not that literate, but I told her it didn’t matter. When we met, she was in distress. Her mother just died then and she was living alone. She said she could not live without her mother. Her brothers are based in Ghana, but they usually sent her money.David explained that four days before she killed herself, she had missed Nwabuzor’s calls while on an assignment at an event. He said he got back home late that day and returned her calls, but she did not pick them. When he eventually got through to her the next day, she started insulting him and he ended the call. “She sent me text messages, but I didn’t reply. On Tuesday, I went to her house to return the charger she lent me and when I was about to leave, she returned all the things I had bought for her. That night, she sent a text message to me, saying that I had stopped loving her since December 2018 when we had fun at different places. She said she was no longer interested in the relationship. In my reply, I told her she was free to find her peace anywhere else. On Wednesday morning, I thought about everything again. I knew she was depressed and I had been the person encouraging her. I sent her another message, begging her. Most times, she would be the one to say she was not interested in the relationship, yet she would be crying. I was always the one saying sorry.David said he later sent a text message to him, saying “You want to kill me; I will help you kill myself. Thank you for making my life a hell.” He said immediately after he read the message, he took a motorcycle and headed to her house. “On getting there, I peeped from her window and saw her body dangling on a rope tied to the ceiling. I shouted and barged into her room. Her neighbors helped me lose the rope while I brought her down. She was already heavy, but I was not feeling the weight. I was not in my right senses again. I took her on a motorcycle to a nearby hospital. She was referred to Randle General Hospital. A doctor confirmed her dead on arrival. I called her brother and relations. The police arrested me and detained me for two days. They said I should not have brought her down,” he saidKenile was buried on Saturday, April 13 which was David’s 26th birthday. Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, said the police had received a distress call from the general hospital that one Kenile Nwabuzor was brought in dead by her boyfriend. “Preliminary investigation revealed that the lady had earlier sent a text message to her boyfriend that she would kill herself. Her corpse was removed and deposited in the Lagos Mainland Hospital morgue.” Bala saidsource: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/05/hairdresser-commits-suicide-over.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

@titiloyeblog.com Prof. Moji Adeyeye, the Director-General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), on Monday said the Federal Government would pay more than N1 billion as compensation to the companies that had their codeine impounded more than a year ago. Adeyeye disclosed this on Monday in Lagos at a news conference to debunk a newspaper report that 70 percent of medicines in Nigeria are fake. Adeyeye said that there were about 2.5 million seizures of codeine made across the country, adding that the government is working out compensations for the affected companies. “It is about a year ago when the documentary about codeine was made which led to the Ministry of Health banning the product. “Since that time, we have been having a series of meeting with many government agencies and committees such as National Security Adviser group, the Presidency and the Ministry of Health. “The final point is that we recalled about 2.5 million bottles of codeine and then put them on hold. This is sad because some companies did not commit the crime. “So we put all the codeine on hold including the powder that they are using to the syrup. It will cost about N1 billion plus to reimburse these manufacturers,” she said. Adeyeye said that government was already working on the reimbursement plan, adding that the agency is working round the clock to stem the manufacturing, distribution, and use of substandard and fake drugs in the country. “We are working on whatever the Ministry of Health is doing now to reimburse those companies affected. We just called a meeting about the last two weeks on it. “The amount that is tied to the companies and they will be reimbursed because most of them legally produce the product in spite of the bad distribution channels. “In tackling fake and substandard products, we do raids and many a time, our staffs don’t sleep, they keep vigil, mainly to intercept those drugs in concert with the Nigerian Customs Service. “We are also working with the local manufacturers to make sure that their products attain the international standard,” she said. On the fake news attributed to NAFDAC that 70 percent of medicines in Nigeria are fake, Adeyeye said that the legal department of the agency would see to it. She said that a study jointly carried out by NAFDAC, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Department for International Development (DFID) in 2005 revealed that fake medicines stood at 16 percent. She added that a survey conducted by NAFDAC in 2017 and 2018 on some widely used drugs showed that Nigerian medicines were 98 percent wholesome. She, therefore, described the report as “untrue and grossly inaccurate”. source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/fg-to-spend-over-n1bn-as-compensation.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

@titiloyeblog.com Police authorities in Luweero District, Uganda recovered a body of a 22-year-old woman Ashina Namutebi, allegedly hacked by her jilted lover Henry Ssebuwufu, before he committed suicide. Ssebuwufu, 25, a resident of Kizito Zone in Luweero Town Council jumped in front of a speeding trailer at Kalule Village on Kampala- Gulu Highway on Thursday and died instantly. Police on Friday identified the deceased Namutebi, as a girlfriend to late Ssebuwufu. According to police preliminary investigations, the couple has reportedly been co-habiting for sometimes with reports of occasional fights at their rented room in Kizito zone. Savannah Regional Police Spokesperson, Paul Kangave on Friday said the bodies had been handed over to the relatives for burial after autopsy at Luweero Health Centre IV. “The body of Namutebi was recovered after police broke into the rented room at Kizito Zone on Thursday evening after a tip-off from relatives and friends who had not seen her yet there was loud music coming from the locked room,” Mr. Kangave explained. When police broke into the room, they found her body on the bed covered with a stained bed sheet. “The body had deep cuts on the neck, head, and the back,” Mr. Kangave added. On April 17, Ssebuwufu was arrested by police on charges of causing bodily harm when he attempted to strangle Namutebi after a misunderstanding. She would later opt to withdraw the case at Kasana Police Station after Ssebuwufu promised in writing never to assault her. “The police decided to release Ssebuwufu because the case of assault had been withdrawn by his girlfriend who pleaded with police to pardon him,” Mr. Kangave added. After hacking her, Ssebuwufu reportedly called his mother to inform her that he had fought with Namutubi and killed her. “He reportedly told his mother that he had also decided to take his own life,” a police detective who declined to disclose the identity of the mother because investigations are still on-going, said. Ms. Alice Nassali, a neighbor to Ssebuwufu and a resident of Kizito Zone claimed that Ssebuwufu had always fought with Namutebi whenever he would find her with male friends. “We tried to advise Namutebi to quit the abusive relationship since it was characterized by fights but she didn’t take heed. Ssebuwufu kept accusing her of being unfaithful although they were not legally married,” Ms. Nassali narrates, adding: "It is sad that the two are now dead yet their problem could have been sorted if they had sought advice from elders and the authorities in our area. @titiloyeblog.com A member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative (PCNI) Dr. Sidi Ali Mohammed has disclosed Boko Haram fighters were being paid $3,000 daily. He made this disclosure at the Presentation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Sub-Sahara Africa’s Economic Outlook Report, in Abuja on Monday. According to him, the payment dwarfs the N1, 000 daily allowances paid to Nigerian troops at the war front. Mohammed, who is the Head of the Humanitarian Assistance and Rehabilitation arm of the PCNI, lamented that Boko Haram has been hijacked and operates like a cartel. “I will give you an example. The Nigerian military, for example, gets N1, 000 per day for being in the North East, at the war front, as an allowance. “The same North East, where if you are a member of Boko Haram you get $3,000 per day as allowance. So it is lucrative. “Sometimes they even give you money upfront. So we must do something about the youths from where they are recruiting.” On how to tackle the insurgency, he said: “If it is amnesty that will guarantee that peace, then we have to think of it. “Most importantly, we need to deplete the army of youths on the streets and take them away from the streets so that Boko Haram does not recruit them. “Don’t forget, they (Boko Haram members) are being killed on a daily basis but they are also recruiting on a daily basis. They are getting people to recruit because it is lucrative.” He went on: “Part of the reason why this problem has refused to go away is the abundant natural resources in the Lake Chad Region. We need to think outside the box. It is now more like a cartel. “When you see the type of weapons they use, it is more sophisticated than the type of weapons that our military are using.” He further stated the Boko Haram menace “is like guerilla warfare. As we are here discussing, if somebody here is a member of Boko Haram, he will not say anything. “He goes out there to strategize and comes back. It, therefore, means the conventional ways of fighting warfare cannot work here. It, therefore, calls for thinking outside of the box.” source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/boko-haram-fighters-paid-3000-daily-dr.html

@titiloyeblog.com Barcelona on Saturday, April 27, were crowned champions of Spain after beating Levante at the Camp Nou in which Lionel Messi came off the bench to score the winner. Players of the club and their fans were all in joyous mood after the final whistle as they were all seen celebrating the Spanish La Liga title. But Luis Suarez's six-month-old son Lautaro stole the show during the post-match celebrations at the Nou Camp. Lautaro was spotted taking a bite out of his father's shoulder while being carried around the pitch. Many were quick to notice that the comical image drew a resemblance to the infamous moment Suarez bit Italy's Giorgio Chiellini during the 2014 World Cup. Suarez was playing for Premier League side Liverpool at that time and he was banned for four months before he joined Barcelona. Meanwhile, Luis Suarez and his teammates are now preparing for their next game against Liverpool in the Champions League semifinal. Luis Suarez will be making a return to Anfield for the first time since he left the club five years ago for the Spanish giants. Liverpool is looking to go one better after finishing runners up to Real Madrid in last season's Champions League final, while Barcelona is seeking a first final appearance since 2015. @titiloyeblog.com Two foreign oil workers, Canadian and Scottish, as well as a Nigerian, have been kidnapped in Rivers State. @titiloyeblog.com Nollywood actress, Rosaline Meurer, says that she doesn’t have plans to stop working with Tonto Dikeh’s former husband, Olakunle Churchill. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Meurer said being an ambassador of Big Church Foundation made it hard to stop working with Churchill. She stated, “Churchill is like a family member to me; so, why should I leave him? Even when the incident was fresh, I never thought of leaving Churchill because he didn’t leave me. Also, all Tonto said about me was false.” She insisted that she had no problems with Tonto Dikeh, apart for her lies. She said, “Everyone has their lives to live. I am living mine, and she should live hers too.” The actress added that she didn’t regret taking her time before venturing into Nollywood fully. She stated, “Before I came into the industry five years ago, I was always visiting Nigeria. I don’t regret joining the industry when I did. Everything is about time and knowing the right people. Without connections and God, you can be acting for years without achieving anything.” According to Meurer, who is the new ambassador of DoctorCare 247, playing nudity or sexual roles is not something she is ready to take up now. She said, “I cannot go nude or act sexual roles in movies; the most I can do is kiss. I even have to rehearse kisses sometimes. I know they say acting is not real but the sexual movement is real. I have yet to reach the stage I can freely act sexual roles. “Also, to be honest with you, I hardly get sexual advances from men. If you come to me, I know how to talk to you and you would start seeing me as a nice and lovely friend.” On her new endorsement deal, she said when she was approached, she took her time to know about DoctorCare 247. She stated, “It is a ‘telehealth’ platform that enables doctors and other healthcare specialists to diagnose and treat patients online. I am an actress and I have huge social media presence; so, I will use my position to make the platform more visible to people.” source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/why-im-still-close-to-tonto-dikehs-ex.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

@titiloyeblog.com Electorate in the Osun West Senatorial District of Osun State, currently being represented by Senator Ademola Adeleke have commenced move to have him sacked following an Abuja Court’s judgment, which held that he has no secondary school certificate. Akinwale Olaniyi and Akinjide Monsuru from Egbedore and Irewole Local Government Areas, in Osun West Senatorial District, said they were misled into voting Adeleke during the last senatorial election in the district on July 8, 2017 because he claimed to have lived his adult life in America. Olaniyi and Monsuru have filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking to sack Adeleke as Senator on the grounds that he allegedly lied to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) about his academic credentials by purportedly presenting a fake Secondary School testimonial to INEC. Adeleke was elected Senator in 2017 as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PFP) following the demise of his senior brother, Isiaka Adeleke, who represented the district until his sudden death in 2017. Olaniyi and Monsuru stated, in the suit, marked: FHC/ABJ/ CS/462/2019, filed on April 26, 2019, that they voted for Adeleke at the election because he claimed to have lived and schooled in the United States of America. The plaintiffs said they felt let down, fooled and were devastated when a High Court of the Federal High Court (FCT) in Bwari, Abuja found, in a judgment delivered on April 2, 2019, that Adeleke presented fake credentials to INEC for the election. They are praying the court to declare among others, that, by the provisions of sections 65(2)(a)of the Constitution and 31(6) of the Electoral Act and the judgment of the FHC High Court, Adeleke was not qualified to have contested the Senatorial election. The plaintiffs also want the court to void the declaration of Adeleke as the winner of the said election in view of the court judgment and the provisions of sections 65(2)(a)of the Constitution and 31(6) of the Electoral Act. They want the court to order INEC to withdraw the certificate of return issued to Adeleke, and to give a perpetual order of injunction, restraining Adeleke “from parading himself as a Senator representing Osun West in the Senate. The plaintiffs equally want the court to order Adeleke to refund all that he earned while he occupied the seat and to restrain the Senate President and the Senate form further recognizing Adeleke as a Senator. Olaniyi stated, in a supporting affidavit, that “one of the selling points of the 1st defendant (Adeleke) during the campaign was that he had resided in the United States of America for most parts of his adult life, and he actually returned therefrom to re resent my said senatorial district at the 3rd defendant (The Senate). “Myself and the 2nd plaintiff (Monsuru) believed honestly that the 1st defendant must have been well educated in the United States of America, hence, we voted for him at the elections to represent us at the 3rd defendant despite not being members of the 2nd defendant (People’s Democratic Party). ” I was shocked to the marrow when a neighbour informed me, while in the company of the 2nd plaintiff on 22nd April, 2019, that a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, holden at Court No. 13, Bwari, Abuja, in Suit No: FCT/HC/BW/CV/ 122/2018 had delivered a judgement, wherein the Secondary School testimonial attached to the Form CF001 submitted by the 1st defendant in the course of his aspiration to become the governor of Osun State was fake, and that the 1st defendant was not qualified, based on same, to contest for the position of Governor, as provided by our laws. “I was also mocked by my friends and relatives, who were present when the information regarding the aforementioned judgement of court was given, as they had earlier warned me against my decision to vote for the 1st defendant at the said senatorial election. “On enquiry, the said neighbour gave me a certified true copy (CTC) of the judgement of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, holden at Court No. 13, Bwari, Abuja in Suit No: FCT/HC/BW/CV/122/2018 delivered on 2nd April, 2019, which he obtained after he had paid the assessed fees. “I thereafter made an application to the 5th defendant (INEC) for the release of certified true copies of the Form CF001 and attached documents submitted to the 5th defendant by the 1st defendant in the course of his aspiration for the seat of Senator, representing Osun West Senatorial District, and same was given to me after I paid the assessed fees for same. “When I compared the Secondary School testimonial attached to the Form CF001 submitted by the 1st defendant to the 5th defendant, as evidence of his education up to school certificate level during his aspiration to represent Osun West Senatorial District, with the one described in the judgement delivered by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Holden at Court No. 13, Bwari, Abuja in Suit No: FCT/HC/BW/CV/ 122/2018 on 2nd April, 2019, I was convinced that they are one and the same. “I know as a fact that Osun West Senatorial District parades many qualified citizens, who can readily represent the district at the 3rd defendant. “I also know as a fact that it is an affront on the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Nigerian State, to continue to have the 1st defendant represent Osun West Senatorial District. “It is in the interest of justice to grant the reliefs of the claimants in this suit.” Listed with Adeleke,as defendants in the suit are his party – the PDP, the Senate, its President and INEC. Adeleke has described the suit as laughable and an abuse of court process, insisting that he is is eligible to contest any elections in the country. In a statement by one of his lawyers, Niyi Owolade, Adeleke stated that “the purported voters, who filed the suit are proxy forces” of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola. Adeleke, who is of the PDP, accused Oyetola and the APC “of waging futile legal harassment following signs of an imminent end to their usurpation of Osun governorship seat. “The initial judgement that this irritating suit is based on has been widely condemned, especially as the document wrongly declared as forged was duly issued by the authorities of the school. “It is in public domain and court records that the school Principal deposed to an affidavit confirming the testimonial and statement of results were duly issued by the school.WAEC’s Deputy Registrar also came to depose to an affidavit in court with the certified true copies of the same result submitted by Senator Adeleke for his senatorial election screening. “How can any human being still declare such result as fake or forged? We declare that the suit is frivolous, clearly an abuse of court processes and a waste of the precious time of the Judiciary. “It is important to restate that matter of qualification and eligibility have been decided in two High Court judgements in Osun state. “A recent ruling of the Appeal Court, Akure division supports the Senator’s position. This matter is also subjudice as it is a matter of appeal before a higher court. “Senator Adeleke reassured his supporters and people of Osun state that there is no cause for alarm as this suit will surely be dismissed in its totality. “This APC’s desperate move will fail woefully just as the others have failed. No amount of harassment, embarrassment, intimidation and spreading of falsehood can change or stop the quest for the retrieval of the stolen mandate freely given Senator Ademola Adeleke. “The people of Osun have spoken with their votes. Their decision and choice of leader cannot be undermined and subjugated by any abuse of force and powers.” source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/alleged-certificate-forgery-osun-voters.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44

@titiloyeblog.com While many celebrities tag days of the week with different names such as My Woman Crush, My Man Crush, among others, Nollywood actress and philanthropist Kate Henshaw has tagged hers as ‘Thankful Tuesday’, following her visit to one of the schools of blind; Bethesda Home in Agege, Lagos. Narrating an encounter with one of the pupils, the actress noted that many do not know the value of what they have. “So many of us don’t know the value of what we have,” she said. “I sat back and reflected on our visit to Bethesda Home for the blind and I concluded that I have been very ungrateful. While there I was privileged to speak to one of the students who confessed to me that he was born blind…he made a statement that brought tears to my eyes, he said he wished he could see who he is talking to him. I couldn’t hold back the tears. “He doesn’t know what his mother, father, and siblings look like and wished God could just give him back his sight. I left feeling ungrateful for constantly complaining of the things He hasn’t done for me and not thanking Him enough.” Bethesda home for the blind is a voluntary and non- profit organization set up to give physically challenged persons who are visually-impaired and helpless. @titiloyeblog.com Last week, Clinton Kalu, a native of Ndinwafor in Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, walked out from the Port Harcourt Maximum Prison where he had spent 27 years of his life for a crime he didn't commit. He was roped into a murder case in April 1992 by some undisclosed persons while trying to resolve a dispute involving his in-laws. That marked the beginning of his journey in ‘hell’. His trial at the tribunal and later at a High Court and his eventual detention happened so fast that when he found himself in prison over an offense he did not commit, he was livid with anger but later accepted his fate. Recalling how he was sentenced to death by hanging or firing squad, Kalu in an interview with Punch said, “Twenty-seven years ago, some people were accused of stealing generating a plant and fluorescent tubes. “They are my in-laws. After the court decided the case, we heard that somebody was murdered in the compound where my sister married. But I was arrested because the thought by those behind my ordeal was that I was trying to resolve a land dispute in favour of one person. He cautioned that with the Supreme Court declaring him innocent, it would be wrong for anybody to tag him an ex-convict. “If you describe me as an ex-convict, I won’t be happy with you. After 27 years, they found out that I committed no crime. Do you know that they would have killed me and after many years, they would have found out that I did not commit the crime? Something like that happened somewhere in Europe. In my own case, the Supreme Court found out that I was innocent and freed me. Any person that refers to me as an ex-convict, I will look at the person as a fool. I will just ask God to forgive him,” he said. While in incarceration, Kalu lost his mother; and coupled with the fact that he was not married and had no immediate family (children), he struggled to fight loneliness even though his relatives, who also believed he was incapable of hurting anybody, let alone killing a person, visited him in prison from time to time. Asked if he would avenge the injustice done to him, Kalu explained that he had been a changed man after gaining knowledge about the ways of Christ, adding that vengeance was not in his thoughts. He pointed out that though he felt insulted and humiliated by the court verdict, which sentenced him to death, he later realized while in prison that his tribulation was to serve a purpose. “God has dealt with those behind my ordeal the way he wants to deal with them; I don’t have any business with them. God has already dealt with the man, who stood as a complainant in my case. On whether I will seek compensation from the police for falsely accusing me, I don’t know about that for now. I have imbibed Christ and I have nothing against those behind my ordeal. While I was in prison, I read more. I had a Diploma in Theology, I had a Bachelor’s Degree in Guidance and Counselling, Master’s in Education Management, Master’s in Guidance and Counselling and I also got Ph.D. in Guidance and Counselling. On what the future holds for him, Kalu, who said he was diabetic and fed himself throughout the 27 years he stayed in prison, stated that he could take to politics or continue with his guidance and counseling job, which he was doing while behind bars. To cater for himself due to his failing health, the 56-year-old said he had to sell some of his personal belongings, adding that when funds were no longer there, the church took over his feeding. He pointed out that his experience in prison had taught him that anybody could find themselves in jail due to circumstances beyond their control. According to him, life in a Nigerian prison will not reform most inmates because of the hardship inside there. On what his being in prison for almost three decades had denied him, Kalu lamented that he may not be able to know the whereabouts of most of his properties and maintained that he would have built more houses and acquired more properties if he were not in prison. He said he was filled with joy when on April 5, 2019, the Supreme Court pronounced him not guilty of the charge against him, insisting that the judgment had vindicated him. “I was overwhelmed with joy on the day I was released from prison having spent 27 years there without committing a crime. Up till this moment, I feel like a newly born baby. God gave me another chance to experience His greatness again. I was happy doing that for free; nobody paid me for it. The church helped me to sponsor seminars that were organized in prison. I read the law before I went to prison,” he said. source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/i-feel-like-new-born-baby-56-year-old.html

@titiloyeblog.com Actress and wife of Nigerian singer, 2face Idibia, Annie, has stated that she doesn't like being referred to as Tubaba's wife and instead prefers to be addressed and identified on the basis of her own achievements as a successful actress. In a fresh interview, the mother of two said; '' Being addressed as Tubaba’s wife instead of Annie the actress has been a problem that I have been trying to work on for a long time. I want to believe that I have successfully been able to identify and differentiate my brand as Annie Idibia the actress/career woman and Annie Idibia the wife/mother. I prefer being addressed as Annie and not Tubaba’s wife. I hate this because I am my own person and have worked hard to build my career and brand. I should be identified and respected on that basis''.source: https://www.titiloyeblog.com/2019/04/i-hate-being-addressed-as-tubabas-wife.html Cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Fynestboi, MissyB3
