Khafi Kareem, the recently evicted housemate from the Big Brother Naija house, has denied reports that herself and her love interest in the house, Gedoni, had sex during their stay in the Big Brother House.

In an interview with Ebuka yesterday September 16th, Khafi said she really likes Gedoni and that she feels a level of peace whenever she was around him.

“I felt such peace around him. I didn’t think I couldn’t be myself around him. We did not have sex. You know sex is a natural thing. If I did, I would actually say that’s what happened. I wouldn’t want to be given the penalisation or punishments for things I didn’t do. I just feel like in the house, everything is so intense so where you will get to in a relationship over three months seeing somebody and been on a date with them is like a week in the house.

The intensity seeing everybody when you wake up and when you go to sleep. I think it was after the eviction in the first week, after we were almost up that’s when our bond really grew.

A New Mexico man has been charged with a third-degree felony count of extortion as well as misdemeanor counts of stalking, voyeurism and unauthorized distribution of sensitive images.

23-year-old Anthony Sandy from Albuquerque, was taken into custody last Monday after he was accused of sending nude pictures of his ex-girlfriend to her friends and family as revenge for their breakup.

According to court documents obtained by Farmington Daily Times, Sandy and the victim met online and dated for three months last year before the woman ended their relationship in January 2019. Following the split, the victim said Sandy threatened to forward naked photos of her to her loved ones if she did not respond to his phone and Facebook messages.

When she failed to comply, the 23-year-old allegedly sent the X-rated images to nine of his ex-girlfriend’s relatives and friends via Facebook without her knowledge or consent.

Sandy also went as far as releasing his ex-girlfriend’s personal contact information, resulting in strangers showing up at her place of work seeking to have sex with her, according to the documents.

She eventually quit her job because of the stress and fear she had experienced, according to the court filings.

When police carried out a search on Sandy's Facebook profile, they allegedly discovered nine chat threads with the victim’s loved ones containing 10 photos that were sent on January 12.

Sandy also claimed to have contacted the state Children, Youth and Family Department to accuse his ex-girlfriend of being an unfit mother so that her child would be taken away from her, according to the documents.

Dammy Krane whose real name is Johnson Oyindamola, was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ Court in Lagos by the police today September 16th on a three-count charge of threat to life, defamation and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.

Dammy was accused to have threatened to attack staff of betting company, MerryBet, verbally and online after a business deal between them went sour.

Police Prosecutor, Insp. J. I. Enang, told the court that the 27-year-old singer attended a betting competition organised by the betting company and went on rampage after he lost during the competition on July 29th at Cool FM in Lagos. The police prosecutor added that Dammy Krane went on to post a video on the internet accusing the sport betting company of owing him.

“The defendant, however demanded some money for appearing on the show, the firm disagreed, insisting that the sum was only for the winners. The musician subsequently breached a contractual agreement with the firm. He also conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of the peace by posting an audio and a video message on Cool FM 96.9,” Enang said.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravened Sections 168 (d), 301 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Dammy Krane's lawyer, Adebayo Oniyelu, thereafter asked the court to grant him bail with a promise that as a public figure, Dammy Krane will not jump bail.

“We humbly apply for the bail of the defendant. Section 35 (5) states that an accused person is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He is a popular musician, if granted bail, he will not jump bail, meanwhile he has been in police custody since Sept. 13,” Oniyelu told the court

The Magistrate, Mrs Folashade Botoku, granted the singer bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.

The case was adjourned till October 11th for mention.

A Cameroonian refugee reportedly sold her baby for N70k, months after she escaped the crisis in Cameroon to seek asylum in Nigeria at Adagom refugee camp in Cross River state.

The 20-year-old mother identified as Claudia, agreed to sell her baby after a barber at the camp approached her with an offer from an unidentified buyer who was seeking a child to adopt.

“The boy that bought the baby told the barber to find someone to stay with him. So, the boy agreed to help him get someone,” Charles Ojon, leader of the refugees in Adagom camp said.

“He met the girl and explained things to her. It was when the girl came that they later agreed she will sell the baby to the man. She followed him to a hotel in town where they stayed till the next morning before he settled her and paid her the money.

“I remember when she came to the camp pregnant, she delivered shortly after she arrived here but has been struggling to survive.”

The Cable reported that the sad act was uncovered following an argument that ensued after Victor insisted on taking the lion share from the N70k after the deal was concluded. It was learned that Victor told her she will take N30,000 while he collects N40,000, a suggestion the lady protested against while also pointing out that she is the mother of the child.

“The barber told her she will take N30,000 while he collects N40,000,” he said, adding that the woman protested.

“She said no, that it is her child; so she will take the N40,000 while the guy takes N30,000. So it was when they were trying to fight that we saw them.

“The police came and they found out the money. Already, the other man had left with the baby. The barber was called and both of them were taken to the police station but he was later released.

“The money was collected from her and kept. They have been calling the guy but he is not picking. We told him there is a job we want him to do but he said he has already gone to Calabar and up till today, the police are looking for him" Elvis Manget, one of the refugees on the security team of the camp said.

Claudia blamed her action on hunger and hardship after being interrogated by police officers that arrested her alongside Victor.

“When the police came, said she sold the child because of hardship; that there is no food or anything to feed the child,” Ujom said.

“That was just before they paid us for July. Then, everywhere was dry. A lot of us have been selling our things and using them to settle debt.”

The untold hardship Claudia has reportedly faced since arriving the refugee camp in October 2018, was corroborated by another refugee who recounted how a resident of Ogoja refused to pay the 20-year-old mother after having sex with her.

“A Nigerian had earlier been here to take her to his house, they slept but he did not pay her after their business

“So she came to report the matter to us, that was when I first saw her and the kid. We were sent to go and bring the man and the matter was later settled.”

The camp coordinator and an official of the state’s SEMA identified simply as Andy, confirmed the incident and further revealed that the police have already launched an investigation.

Man gets angry after Nigerian prostitute he took home demanded more money for different sex styles

A video which captured the heated argument between a social media user and a Nigerian prostitute has gone viral on social media.

Though where and when the video was released was not made available, however, the commercial sex worker was heard saying "balance you what" as the man told her to give back some of the money he paid her over the attitude she put up after they arrived his apartment.

The unidentified lady, however, stood her ground, stating that the man should have told her the sex styles he wanted before taking her home. She told him to "add money" if he wants d*ggy and also rebuked him over the way he spoke to her. He ended up sending her out of his apartment.

A boy was seen playing at the window on the fourth floor of a storey building which was about 33feet high from the ground level. The person who later rescued him said that he heard the noise of the boy's mother shouting for help. Then he looked out and saw the boy.

Hoodlums have killed three persons at Iguadolor community in Ovia South-West local government area of Edo state.

The three victims are a mother and two daughters including a six months old baby.

It was gathered that the victims were children and grandchildren of the Odionwere (head) of the village, Pa. Omorogbe Avanrenren.

Some of the community members who spoke said the killings could be related to lingering crisis between the community elders and Okaighele (Youth head) of the community, Perrick Egbon.

Pa Avanreren said he was shocked that his children were killed.

Chairman of Ovia South-West local government, Scot Ogbemudia, who visited the community appealed for calm and promised to unravel the killers.

According to him, “We will make sure we investigate this incident. We will work with security agencies and ensure the law takes its course.”

Perrick Egbon in a phone chat denied being involved in the killings.

He described it as unsubstantiated allegations.

Spokesman for the Edo Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the killings but said no arrest has been made.

He said, “It actually happened. Three persons were killed. Two female adults and a baby. The police is currently investigating the incident.”

A mum-of-two has ‘tied the knot’ with a tree and now intends to change her surname to reflect the species she ‘married’.

Kate Cunningham’s family and friends looked on as the bizarre wedding ceremony was held in a Merseyside park.

The 34-year-old bride decided to ‘marry’ the elder tree in Litherland’s Rimrose Valley Park as a stunt to raise awareness about a campaign opposing the construction of a new bypass.

The activist, from Melling, told the Liverpool Echo that she had a hen do the night before and now plans to change her name to Kate Rose Elder by deed poll.

She wore an olive green dress, a home made skirt and green pumps for the symbolic ceremony.

Before the big day, Miss Cunningham told the Echo: “My boyfriend is very supportive of my decision.

“He’s even helped make props for the ceremony.

“My oldest son was initially embarrassed when I told him I was going to do it, but now he has decided to come to the ceremony. It means a lot to him to be there.

“My dad has been very supportive. He’s been out in his van helping to organise everything for the big day.”

A Buhari supporter identified as Mr. Elvis Omoiri was left fighting for his life after being stabbed multiple times with a broken bottle while celebrating President Buhari's victory at the election tribunal.

His attacker, Best Uduophori said to be at large is reportedly the owner of a bar located at Okoloba area of Effurun in Warri, Delta State. Elvis was stabbed after he visited the bar to have a drink with his friends in celebration of President Buhari's victory.

The APC supporter got stabbed on his neck, head and other body parts after he got into an argument with the fleeing bar owner over the tribunal's verdict. A Facebook user, MC Paul, confirmed the incident in a post he shared.

“I have just received report of an attempted murder of one Elvis Omoiri by a neighbour, Best Uduophori who runs a beer parlor in Okoloba, Effurun, Uvwie LGA, Delta State, over a mere political argument. What are we turning politics into in this country? You want to kill someone over Buhari and Atiku tribunal matter? This is animalistic!

“You break a bottle and stab a fellow countryman almost to the point of death over APC and PDP matters? So, someone doesn’t have right to personal opinion again in Nigeria?

“Just few days ago, we were all against South Africans for Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians. Today, it is a Nigerian that seems not to value the life of a fellow Nigerian. This is very disgusting, cruel, callous, mean and most condemnable.

“I learnt the matter has been reported to the Area Commander in Warri and that the Police are on the lookout for the guy, who is said to be at large at the moment.

A three-story building on Wednesday, September 11, collapsed after a heavy downpour in Onitsha, Anambra state.

Though the value of the property located at No. 22 Nkisi Aroli street in Onitsha is yet to be ascertained, the owner was however identified as Chukwuma Njeka.

It was also learned that the rear fence of the Onitsha custodial center (formerly known as Onitsha prison) suffered a similar fate as it collapsed at about 6:30 am during the heavy downpour. No life was lost in the incident, neither did any prisoner escape. The scene was cordoned off by the Police to stop any unforeseen development.

The State's Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed confirmed both incidents and he said police officers have been deployed to secure the area.

#PEPT: Tribunals says Buhari is eminently qualified to contest 2019 Presidential election

The Presidential Electoral Petition Tribunal has ruled that President Buhari possesses the West African School Certificate Examination, WASCE, to contest the 2019 presidential election.

The tribunal said Buhari was not only qualified, but eminently qualified to contest the election, saying that the petitioners (Atiku Abubakar and PDP), could not run away from the fact that Buhari obtained WASCE for qualification for the election.

The court said apart from being qualified, the president also obtained other certificates to validate claims that he is eminently qualified for the presidential poll.

The Chairman of the tribunal, Garba Mohammed, therefore struck out the claims by the PDP and Atiku that Buhari did not possess the needed qualification for the election and that he presented false information to INEC.

A Ghanaian footballer in South Africa has been hospitalized after he was allegedly shot by South African Police as xenophobic attacks in the country continues.

The footballer identified as Arthur was reportedly shot in both legs at close-range at the Kempton Park on Sunday, September, 8.

Mr Arthur, who has been plying his trade in South Africa for the past two years claimed he did not commit any crime or had an argument with the police which resulted in the shooting.

It was also reported by Ghana Web that Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, H. E. George Ayisi Boateng rushed Mr. Arthur to the Grenclof Hospital in Pretoria upon hearing of the sad incident.

Hon. Ayisi Boateng was pictured with Arthur while on his hospital bed as he is currently responding to treatment.

This follows the recent xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other nationals in South Africa.

Zimbabwe’s government has announced a date for Robert Mugabe’s funeral.

A funeral for the longtime leader will be held on Saturday, September 14th and a burial ceremony will be held the following day.

This announcement comes amid a row over where the former president will be buried.

A government memo declared the funeral will be at Harare National Sports stadium on Saturday, September 14th but gave no location for the burial to follow the next day.

Members of the late Mr. Mugabe’s family are battling with the ruling Zanu PF party over its plan to bury the former leader in a cemetery for heroes of the liberation war in the capital.

Mugabe has a grave ready next to his first wife Sally in Heroes Acre, a North-Korea designed graveyard also home to prestigious Zanu PF supporters.
However, some of Mr Mugabe’s family want him interred in their rural village in Zvimba district, about 50 miles northwest of Harare.

"We want him buried here. Heroes, for what?" Mr Mugabe’s cousin, Josephine Jorincha, told AFP in the village of Kutama.

Mr Mugabe’s nephew, Leo, who is the family’s head of burial preparations, told the Telegraph that he was negotiating with village chiefs over the final site for Mugabe's burial.

He said that Mr Mugabe’s toppling in a 2017 coup by his former right-hand man Emerson Mnangagwa had rendered the former dictator ambivalent about being buried in the Zanu PF shrine. However, Leo said that he believed Mr Mugabe would eventually be buried in Heroes’ Acre.

He said: "I am sure he will be buried at Heroes’ Acre. We are with the chiefs, we have to consult."

A fresh round of violence is currently building up in the streets of Johannesburg, South Africa, as armed protesters are out again, demanding that foreigners leave their country immediately.

South African newspaper, Sowetan Live, reports that the protesters, who carried weapons such as knobkerries, are waiting to be addressed by Mangosuthu Buthelezi, a notable politician and Zulu tribe leader. The protesters, who are said to be residents of hostels in eastern Johannesburg, marched on Sunday along Jules Street in the area.

Sowetan Live reports that Siphiwe Mhlongo, chairman of hostel headmen (izinduna) in Gauteng, said South African nationals are angry at jobs being taken by foreign nationals, unhappy about drugs and RDP houses being owned by foreigners.

“Everyone who is in South Africa has that feeling that foreign nationals must go back home. But we don’t say foreign nationals must be beaten up; we are leaders,” he said.

The Oyo state police command have arrested a 62-year-old clergyman, Olusegun Oyetunji, for taking nude photos of his female members and attempting to use the images to blackmail them.

Trouble started for Oyetunji when one of his victims, a 28-year-old lady he took her nude photos, fell out with him after she discovered he was a fake pastor. Oyetunji threatened to release her nude photos online if she doesn't come back to his church and if she stops having sex with him.

To ensure her pictures were deleted, she reconciled with the clergyman with the hope of getting a hold of his phone and deleting her pictures. She was shocked to discover the nudes of other women including a 17-year-old in his phone. The 17-year-old girl had met the clergyman when she took her mother to the pastor for prayers. He told the teenager that she had family issues that only his prayers can resolve. He asked her to see him in his church for special deliverance. It was during the special deliverance that he annointed her, including her private part, and also took her nude photos with the promise of using it to pray for her. In the course of the deliverance sessions, Oyetunji started having sex with the teenager.

When interrogated, Oyetunji recounted how he started his sexual relations with his first victim, the 28-year-old lady.

“I went into cleric work after getting a calling from God. I pastor the Gospel Ministers Commission. I didn’t found it myself; the founder asked me to take over shortly before he died.

For the first victim, one day, I went to a hospital in Awe, Oyo, to see one of the members of the church who was ill, and I prayed for him. Then, some staff members of the hospital also asked me to pray for them, which I did.

They also pressured me to tell them what God was saying concerning them. They gave me a room in the hospital so I could deliver the message to them and I did. That was how I met one of them, the 28- year-old lady (name withheld).

She later came to me to seek counsel for her problems. She said several men had dumped her in the past. This happened in 2018. We prayed together and I couldn’t get a clue, so I told her that she would have to come back.

After some days, she returned and I gave her anointing oil to rub on every part of her body, which she did. The next time she came, I anointed her, I anointed every part of her body, including her private part. That was the starting point; later, we had sexual intercourse. That was the deceit of the enemy. I can’t blame anybody for it but myself'' he said

Catholic Bishops in South Africa have countered its government's claim of attack against foreigners not having a xenophobic undertone.

Archbishop Buti Tigagale of the Southern African Catholic Bishop’s Conference Office for Migrants and Refugees said on Saturday, September 7, that they also received a report that the authorities are doing little to protect foreigners in the attack.

He also revealed that the police stood idly in Pretoria while shops were looted and people attacked. According to him, not a single arrest was made on that day. Also countering claims of the attacks being an attempt by concerned South Africans to rid cities of drug dealers, the Bishops asked why South African drug dealers are not attacked as well.

He said, “Once again we receive reports of the authorities doing very little to protect the victims. We received report of police standing by idly in Pretoria while shops were looted and people attacked. Not a single arrest was made on that day.

“Once again the authorities resort to the old explanation: that this is not xenophobia, but the work of criminal elements.

“Let us be absolutely clear – this is not an attempt by concerned South Africans to rid our cities of drug dealers. And this is not the work of a few criminal elements. It is xenophobia, plain and simple.

“If it was about drugs, why are South African drug dealers not being targeted as well? Are we really to believe that there are none? And why are drug addicts who rob people in our city centres to get money to buy drugs not being targeted? If it is the work of a few criminal elements, why are South African owned businesses not being looted as well?”

He added, “The teaching of the Church is direct and uncompromising. More than 80% of South Africans claim to be Christians. What are our religious leaders teaching the multitudes that fill our Churches every Sunday? Galatians 3:28 says: “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

“By the same token, there is neither South African nor Nigerian nor Ethiopian. We are all one in Christ Jesus. “Let us take heed of this. We are facing a rising tide of hatred and intolerance, no different to the rising tide of hatred in Nazi Germany. If we do not take urgent action to stop it, there will be nothing left.”

Calling on people of all faith and goodwill to speak out and take action, Archbishop Buti Tigagale concluded by asserting that all religions preach fair treatment to foreigners.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has revealed that the anti-xenophobic protest which went wrong, led to loss of over 5,000 jobs in the state.

Sanwo-Olu condemned looting of goods in the shopping malls and also disclosed the number of jobs lost during an inspection of some facilities damaged during the protest which was hijacked by hoodlums. He said victims of the attack were indigenous stores and not even South African-owned businesses.

He said: ‘’We have seen the level of destruction at both Novare Plaza and Surulere plaza.

“The first is to condemn the act that had led to this destruction in strong terms. These are just enormous destruction of property. This is extensive destruction of people’s wealth.

“Unfortunately, during my inspection of both plazas, I discovered that those affected were all indigenous stores and companies.

“Even the names that are synonymous with South Africa, I could see that there were over 150 staffs that could not get to perform their duties because of the act.

Gunmen abduct senior lecturer at the Ondo State University of Technology, Prof Gideon Okedayo

Prof Gideon Okedayo, a senior lecturer at the Ondo State University of Technology, Okitipupa has been kidnapped by unknown armed men.

Okedayo was whisked away at a boundary between the Akunnu Akoko area of Ondo and Igara in Auchi, Edo State, on Thursday evening. Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities at the institution, Dipo Akomolafe, confirmed the news saying;

“What we learnt was that Prof Okedayo was on transit in Edo State when the gunmen seized him. His driver managed to escape the attackers but he was not lucky enough and was seized by the hoodlums. The driver managed to visit a police station to report the incident.”

Chairman of the Joint Action Committee of the university’s staff union, Dayo Temola, also confirmed the incident in a statement. He said, “Prof Okedayo is a thoroughbred academic who has and is still contributing to the growth of education in Nigeria and beyond. We hereby call on government and relevant security agencies to help free him from his kidnappers.”

President Ramaphosa makes mistake on live TV while addressing xenophobic attacks

A video of the moment President Cyril Ramaphosa made a mistake while addressing South Africans on gender-based violence crisis and xenophobic attacks witnessed in the country has gone viral on social media, and has been described as an embarrassing and epic fall.

The South African President started off his address by reading from a teleprompter at the SABC's parliamentary studios. However a couple of seconds in, Ramaphosa made a mistake which he flagged on Live TV by saying: "Let's start again. I made a mistake".

Following the backlash that ensued after the video was leaked, SABC has apologized to President Cyril Ramaphosa for flighting the pre-recorded message that included a re-take of his address to the nation on Thursday evening.

"The public broadcaster wishes to apologise to the president of the republic and the nation for any embarrassment caused in this unfortunate breach of the news production process," SABC spokesperson Vuyo Mthembu said in a statement.

"The SABC takes this issue seriously and can assure the president and the public that due process will be followed and appropriate action taken."
