A pastor is trending on Facebook after he said from the pulpit that it is a sin to be a tenant because that makes you have another Lord apart from Christ.
Pastor Charles Osasuwa, the founder of Rock of Ages Christian Assembly Inc, said God is a Jealous God and doesn't approve of his children having other lords beside him. He said tenants have landlords and this means they are serving another lord. He added that this makes it a sin to live in a rented apartment.
He advised his congregation that once they make their first salary, they should begin planning towards owning a home. He said it doesn't have to be an elaborate home. He said their first home is not the home they'll live in indefinitely but one that they own to avoid sinning against Gid by having a landlord.
He said: "The tenant is always at the mercy of the landlord. The landlord can call the tenant anytime and he can request to use his apartment anytime. The Christian who is a tenant should work towards freeing himself from the second Lord which is the Landlord.”
Osasuwa also said churches who operate in rented properties are not left out.
He said: "A church that operates in a rented apartment is having two lords. This should not be.”

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG, has said that as much as he hates the death penalty, no punishment meted on a rapist is too severe.
In a video broadcasted on Dove TV on Sunday, June 14, the clergyman condemned the act, saying it leaves an eternal scar on women.
Speaking specifically about UNIBEN student, Uwaila Omozuwa, who was raped and murdered in one of the RCCG parishes in Edo state, the clergyman said he and his prayer warriors will not stop until the perpetrators of the dastard act are fished out and brought to justice.
In his words;
I just want to put on record my humble opinion about the crime of rape. In my own opinion, there is hardly any crime more grievous than that of rape.
Maybe with the possible exception of murder because when you rape a girl, you put a scar on her. Not only physically, but mentally. A scar that cannot be removed for the rest of her life.
I am telling you, there is no pain that I know of that can compare to the pain of parents whose daughter has been raped.
The girl that was raped and killed in Benin happens to be one of my daughters. And I am telling you, I feel the pain seriously.
I want to put this on record that both myself and my prayer warriors will not rest in prayers until the perpetrators of this evil are brought to justice. We will cry to the Almighty God, the one who knows all things to fish out these people. Not only those who raped my daughter and ended up killing her but everyone who had ever committed rape, particularly in Nigeria and all other nations of the world.
I will cry to my God, the all-knowing God to fish them all out so that they will face justice.
As much as I hate the death sentence, because anyone who is dead cannot be reached for salvation, I think that every form of punishment that will be given to a rapist cannot be considered too severe.
God helping me, I will keep on crying to God that anyone who ever thinks of raping anybody again, the Almighty God will stop them before they can do so. Even if he has to take them away from this world to achieve that purpose'' he said

A young woman who began suffering rape at age 5 and ran away from home to escape her rapist, has told of how she became a prostitute at the age of 11 to survive.
Kelly, 21, recounted how her to foster father came into the sitting room drunk when she was only 5. She was watching TV with her foster mum and he asked her to follow him inside, where he proceeded to rape her.
The Skid Row sex worker revealed that he raped multiple times after that and her foster mum, who was also being abused by the man, couldn't do anything.
At 11, she ran away from home. While running, she met a man who promised to help her, but he ended up introducing her to prostitution and making money off her.
She finally escaped from him and now lives in a tent but she still fears that the love-vendor might come after her and kill her.
She added that she never went to high school. The last time she was in a school was at the age of 10.
She mentioned that she is ashamed of the fact that she's never been to high school.
The girl, who speaks well for someone who hasn't been to school since age 10, said she dreams of being a lawyer and a cosmetologist but she doesn't know how to go about it.
She mentioned that she's ashamed of herself and her body then added that she still sells her body because she doesn't have any other skill.
She said she's been raped, tortured, and has had a gun pulled on her head while walking the streets.
She also revealed that she experiments with drugs. She said she tried cocaine after her love-vendor introduced her to it but later gave it up because she didn't want it messing her up.
She said she recently tried crystal and it was so potent that she was walking around naked without knowing it until the police were called and they arrested her for indecent display.
The young lady also mentioned that she thinks of suicide often. She said she could kill herself on the night of the interview or the night after because she has nothing to live for. She said she has no one, no family, and no future. She added that no one ever checks up on her.
The interview was recorded a day before Christmas of 2019 but was released on June 6, 2020, via In The Now's official Facebook account.
During the interview, the girl mentioned that she is considering suicide because the following day is Christmas but she has no one to spend it with and that makes it all the more unbearable.
The interviewer replied by promising to bring her Christmas dinner the following day. He told her he wouldn't let her kill herself on his watch and promised he will check up on her.
This made her seem excited and she made him promise to keep to his word.

Concerned neighbors confronted a man after he beat a 10-month-old baby and the child's mother because the baby won't stop crying and depriving him of sleep.
Neighbors accosted the man after he battered the woman and threw her into a pool of dirty water. When asked, he said the woman insulted him after he beat her child for crying.
The man, named Isaac, is a relative of the woman's baby daddy. He said the baby daddy abandoned the woman and the child in the village so, he brought her down to Lagos in a bid to help her.
She started living with him and he said that's when he began losing sleep because the child always woke up crying at night.
He explained that he cautioned her to control her child and try breastfeeding him if he tries to keep the child from disturbing his sleep. However, he claimed that, rather than breastfeed the child when he cries at night, the mother will beat him, making him cry more.
He added that as an okada man he needs his sleep but hardly gets it.
On the morning that he beat the child and the mother, he said he heard the child crying and called the woman but she didn't answer. He beat the 10-month-old child and when his mother, who was in the bathroom, came out, she confronted him for beating her son.
Angered by the disrespect, Isaac said he beat the woman too and pushed her into the dirty water.
The woman had blood running down her hands from the injury inflicted on her. Her clothes were also soiled with the dirty water she was pushed into.
The man explained that he's been the one taking care of the woman and her child, however, the woman doesn't listen to him.
When asked what happened, the woman seemed reluctant to speak at first, but she later opened up and explained how the assault happened.
Parents have a lot of roles to play in curbing rape. How you are nurturing your male children tells a lot about them when they grow up. A child can have everything while growing up and still have a bad upbringing. Many parents have failed in their duties of training their male children to be responsible for women.
Many parents are (indirectly) training their male children to intimidate and not respect women because a man is the ‘head of the family’ and they must not subject themselves in any form to women, which is wrong.
There are a lot of traits a male child will show while growing up that will give his parents clue that this child will like women or be a womanizer when he grows up. How do parents handle such a kid? They mostly applaud them and make them feel like it is a normal thing to like women too much. Gradually, such a kid will start teaching himself how to dominate women, this leads to the use of force with women and progressively to rape.
Some men are rapists because nobody told them the lengths not to go with women (girls) when they were growing up, while some do it to satisfy themselves, which is outright wrong.
Rape is a brutal issue that needs everyone’s unity to curb. Always remember, the men who rape were given birth to and nurtured by women.
Instead of focusing on blaming the men, let us all join forces together to stop this act right before boys become men.
Tear gas, threats before President Trump visits church amid protests
President Donald Trump had announced he would soon be addressing the nation from the White House Rose Garden, as a 7 p.m. curfew in the city loomed and a mass of law enforcement, including U.S. Secret Service agents, Park Police and National Guardsmen, stood sentry, many dressed in riot gear.
Moments before 6:30 p.m., just when Trump said he would begin his address, the officers suddenly marched forward, directly confronting the protesters as many held up their hands, saying, “Don’t shoot."
Soon, law enforcement officers were aggressively forcing the protesters back, firing tear gas and deploying flash bangs into the crowd to disperse them from the park for seemingly no reason. It was a jarring scene as police in the nation's capital forcefully cleared young men and women gathered legally in a public park on a sunny evening, all of it on live television.
With smoke still wafting and isolated tussles continuing in the crowd, Trump emerged in the Rose Garden for a dramatic split-screen of his own creation.
“I am your president of law and order and an ally of all peaceful protesters," he declared, before demanding that governors across the nation deploy the National Guard "in sufficient numbers that we dominate the streets." And he warned that, if they refused, he would deploy the United States military “and quickly solve the problem for them.”
As an additional show of force, Trump announced he was deploying even more of the military to Washington, D.C., giving it the feel of an armed, locked-down city after days of violent clashes, arson and looting.
“As we speak I am dispatching thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers," he said, as explosions rang out in the background. “We are putting everybody on warning.”
Then, before departing, Trump announced he wasn't done for the evening, and would be "going to pay my respects to a very very special place.”
Moments later, the White House press pool was quickly summoned for a surprise movement. And soon after, Trump strolled out of the White House gates — something he had never done before — and walked across the park that had just been cleared to accommodate his movements.
Trump walked slowly, followed by an entourage of his most senior aides, security and reporters. The faint residue of pepper spray hung in the air, stinging eyes and prompting coughing.
Sections of the park and surrounding sidewalks were strewn with garbage, including plastic water bottles and other debris. Some sections had been scrawled with graffiti.
Trump crossed H Street and walked toward St. John’s Episcopal Church, the landmark pale yellow building where every president, including Trump, has prayed. It had been damaged Sunday night in a protest fire.
Trump, standing alone in front of cameras, then raised a black-covered Bible for reporters to see.
“We have a great country,” Trump said. “Greatest country in the world.”
He didn’t talk about Floyd, the church or the damage it had suffered, or the peaceful protesters police had cleared. He said nothing about the coronavirus pandemic, the parallel crisis that has continued to ravage the nation as Trump campaigns for a second presidential term. And then he invited his attorney general, national security adviser, chief of staff, press secretary and defense secretary — all white — to join him for another round of photos before he walked back across the park to the White House.
At one point, he stopped and pumped his fist in the air at National Guard members in the distance.

A video that captured the moment a police officer asked a Black driver to lick his own urine in Illinois, has gone viral after being shared online.
The driver, a former federal safety investigator identified as Marcus Mosley was tased and arrested last year after being accused of urinating on the side of a road in Illinois.
In the video which was recorded by police body-worn camera on May 17, 2019, the Defendant Lynwood Police Officer Luke Tambrini told Mosley he wasn’t allowed to park on the side of the road or to urinate in public and asked for his identification.
After Mosley denied that he urinated in public, Tambrini conducted what the lawsuit calls a “sham field investigation” during which Mosley was subjected to “a willful and wanton display of outrageously inhuman cruelty.”
Tambrini first asked Mosley to take his finger and touch a “little puddle of water” beside his car that he claimed was urine, the video shows. After Mosley obliged, Tambrini replied, “Now lick it.”
“Who’s gonna lick dirt?” Mosley replied, visibly upset. “You think ‘cause I’m black I’m gonna sit here and touch some dirt, then lick it?” Mosley then requested that the officer call a supervisor to the scene because he had a problem with how he was being treated.
When Tambrini told Mosley he was going to write him tickets for parking illegally and urinating in public, Mosley declined to provide him his name and information and repeatedly asked that a supervisor be dispatched to the scene, according to the video.
Eventually, Tambrini said he was going to have to arrest Mosley for obstructing identification and “needlessly escalated the situation by drawing, pointing, and shooting a Taser” at Mosley, according to the suit.

It began with Tacha releasing a video to defend her friend and former housemate, Khafi. She addressed the people who call Khafi names such as "gossip" and "two-faced", and questioned if they are saints.
She didn't mention any names but it appears Mercy and Venita saw it as a sub and they reacted with a video of their own.
In an Instagram video released shortly after Tacha's, Mercy and Venita are seen clearly mocking someone though they didn't mention names.
"Where was the energy? Where was the energy?" both women asked in the video as they laughed at what appeared to be an inside joke.
Fans of Mercy and Tacha took to Twitter to react to this video. Some took sides with Tacha and called out Mercy and Venta for calling Khafi a gossip, others asked why Tacha didn't maintain the same energy when Khafi made a post that they believe was directed at Mercy.
30-year-old man who sealed his wife's private part with super glue has been arrested, days after security operatives launched a manhunt for him.
The suspect who has been on the run since Saturday May 16 when he committed the heinous act, was arrested at his hideout in Kaningo, Kitui County by a combined team from Directorate of Criminal Investigations Tseikuru, Special Crimes Unit and DCI Tharaka South.
Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations tweeted;
30-Year-Old James Kifo Muriuki, who on 16th May, 2020 horridly dehumanized his wife, has this morning been arrested from his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County by a combined team of @DCI_Kenya Detectives from Special Crime Unit, DCI Tseikuru and DCI Tharaka South.
The arrest followed a shocking report made by the complainant, his wife, on how the suspect lured her in the dead of the night to river Kathita whereby he ordered her to strip naked and tell him all the men she had slept with while he was in Nairobi.
On being hesitant, she was beaten by the suspect who also sprayed pepper, salt and super glue on her Instruments and later used a knife to push the said contents to her lady parts.
Further, it was reported that he sealed her mouth and ears and left her for dead.
The suspect will be charged accordingly once necessary police procedure is complete.
Mother ties up her 10-year-old son in a sack for four days over allegations he is possessed with an evil spirit (video)
A middle-aged woman, simply identified as Iya Ayo, was arrested for tying up her 10-year-old son, Ayo, in a sack and locking him up in a wardrobe for four days in the Fesojaye community, Owode, in Osun State.
The woman reportedly tied up her son last Thursday until on Sunday May 16 when a neighbor heard his cry for help. The neighbor immediately alerted the leaders of the community who in turn alerted the police, The woman was arrested and her son freed.
When interrogated, Iya Ayo who is separated from Ayo's father, said her son was possessed with an evil spirit and was in the habit of stealing people's money.
Confirming the incident to LIB, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Yemisi Opalola, said the woman was arrested and made to sign an undertaking never to maltreat the child. Opalola said efforts are being made to search for the father of the child so the woman can hand Ayo over to him. She added that the police are closely monitoring the situation.
''We went to arrest her and she told her part of the story, how the boy has been disturbing her. In a nutshell, the police told her to go and look for the father of the boy if she cannot take care of the child again. She promised to do so. The DPO also followed up yesterday to ensured that the father is found. There is no way the police can keep the child with them. They have made her to write an undertaking even with a surety who promised she will never do it again.'' she said

Man bags 7 years jail term for raping 15-year-old student and biting her clitoris
27-year-old Ghanaian man, Derrick Amponsah, has been sentenced to seven years in prison for raping a 15-year-old student and biting her clitoris, leaving her to bleed profusely after the act.
Ghanaian media reports that the incident took place at Manso Yawkrom in the Amansie West District of Ashanti Region.
Derrick was arraigned before the Bekwai Circuit Court. Police Prosecutor, Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Ofori, told the court that the suspect used his fingers, penis, and mouth to abuse the girl at about 11 a.m. on April 15, 2020.
The suspect pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and defilement. Both acts contravene Sections 84 and 101 respectively the of Criminal Offences Act, Act 29 of 960.
The presiding judge then sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment.

According to @Moji___Sola, she got to know they were One Chance Operators after the driver of the cab initiated a conversation with one of the passengers about money.

A funny experience I had this morning.

Police in Anambra state have rescued a 14- year-old girl allegedly kidnapped in Onitsha.
The police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, said three suspects, including a female, were also arrested in connection with the abduction.
The victim held hostage for 27 days and allegedly raped severally by the suspects was rescued by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) at their hideout in Ogidi.
He said: “At about 5:30pm, the Command Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) trailed and arrested at their hideout in Ogidi the following syndicate: Onyemechi Aniobi ‘m’ aged 23years, Elochukwu Okudo ‘m’ aged 25 years and Pauline Elechi ‘f’ aged 24 years.
Suspects had on the 12/1/2020 allegedly kidnapped a 14-year-old girl in Onitsha and took her to an undisclosed location.
Consequently, On the 30/1/2020 the syndicate contacted the victim’s mother through SMS and demanded a ransom of ten million Naira which was later reduced downward after much pleading by the mother.
Suspects equally sent a first Bank account number 3120904371 bearing one John Blessing to the.
Meanwhile, the victim who was held hostage for twenty-Seven days and allegedly raped severely by the suspects was rescued by the Police and taken to the hospital for medical examination.”
