I can agree with you that it got to him verbally or otherwise. But the president has no role to play in issues of traditional or chieftaincy matters.

The last time Ganduje and Sanusi were having issues after the 2019 gubernatorial elections, the President was said to have intervened by appealing to Ganduje to soft-pedal. Dangote was also said to have intervened but that is where it ends.

This time Ganduje moved very swiftly to dethrone Sanusi, not giving room for any interventions.

- His lawyers made it clear that State High courts as well as FCT High Court lack jurisdiction to adjudicate on matters involving Federal agencies.
- The FCT High Court order was therefore a nullity given that DSS and Nigeria Police, which are both Federal Agencies were joined in the suit.
- Based on this legal fact, his lawyers approached a FEDERAL High Court in Kano, which has jurisdiction to obtain needed respite.

Oshiomhole was suspended at the crime scene which is at Abuja where the party Secretariat situate.

A smart tactician/general does not underrate the adversary. He assumes that they are not stupid by supposing that they must have done their homework.
He does not waste precious time in hubris, denial and fantasy. He applies himself with ways to best the enemy in his own game.

It will amount to tomfoolery to assume that the authors and backers of the plot to solve Oshiomhole for good did not consider something as banal as the best place to launch the sortie/offensive.

He was purportedly suspended by his ward in Edo state, how is that tantamount to him being suspended in Abuja?

The problem with Nigerians is ignorance. The judge did not sit on appeal on the case. What happened is that the people that took Oshiomhole to court alleging that he had been suspended by his ward and therefore should be suspended from being national chairman made a mistake by filing the case in a state high court outside Edo state (if they were to file it in any High Court outside Edo state, it should have been a federal high court). FCT high court lacks jurisdiction in this case so it will be dismissed at appeal court level for same reason.

What Oshiomhole did was to outsmart them by filing for stay of execution and also appealing to the court of appeal while at the same time using a proxy to challenge his purported suspension by the Ward Exco at a Federal High Court in Kano (being a federal high court, it has jurisdiction over the matter).

The judge gave a ruling quashing the suspension by the APC ward Exco which means that when the court of appeal nullifies the FCT High Court order for lack of jurisdiction, Oshiomhole's opponents can't go to a federal high court but have to appeal the Kano federal high court judgement to the Court of Appeal.

These were people arrested at random as suspects during military operations against Boko Haram but after thorough investigations were carried out, it turns out that they were innocent.
