Dear Doc Katthy,

Thanks for your below and urgent response. Doc, i did not said tht PID was diagnosed on an untrasound rather on pelvic scan that i had. I want to know whether the PID will effect my reproductive organ.

The last time i went for the pelvic scan before this present one i had, i was also diagnosed with PID and i went to do culture to determine the type of infection, and the result reads, candidiases and echoli infection. So i believe this present PID may still be that i have not treated the infection very well. Or is there any other test you can recomend i undergo to detect the nature of the PID and possibly whether it has effected my reproductive organ cos i have to feel hurt in the waist and in my tommy too.

Your ugent response will be highly appreciated Doc.

I don't know how else to say this but PID can NOT be diagnosed on an ultrasound. A 12 mm fibroid will not affect your fertility

Good day doc Katty, i want to appreciate you for all you have been doing for us in this forum. May the good Lord bless and enrich you in your endeavours.

Doc, i went to pelvic scan and my result reads that i have:-

PID and myomas measuring 12mm in size with a bulky uterus.

Please doc what does this mean and will it stop me from getting pregnant.

Also, i want to know if the size of the fibroid, 12 mm will effect pregnancy?

You should try to have sex on the day of the surge as well as the day of ovulation. Make sure you are taking your prenatal vitamins and it is safe to have sex while you are waiting. Good luck

THANKS FOR SEEING YOU AGAIN. THERE WAS A TIME U RECOMMENDED INTRA-UTERINE INSEMINATION FOR ME. I AM OBLIGE TO TELL U THAT I HAVE DONE IT JUST YESTERDAY, 18TH NOVEMBER 2009. I SAW MY PERIOD ON NOV 5, 2009 AND I MONITORED MY OVULATION WITH OVULATION KIT. THE FIRST DAY ON 12TH NOV SHOWED TWO SINGLE LINES AND LIKEWISE THE SECOND DAY BEING 13TH, SO WE DID IT ON THE 14TH NOV BEING YESTERDAY.

Thanks for your below response. Please like how much will the intrauterine insemination cost us, you said that it is cheaper than IVF. Again, will a sperm count of 24million be okay to fertilize the egg when inserted cos my husband sperm count is 24million with 20% motility. Please advice if it is okay and like how much do we estimate for it.

Talk to your gyn about intrauterine insemination. It is cheaper that IVF. You can get an ovulation kit and the doctor inserts the sperm directly into the uterus. This can help with the mobility issue.

That is a good sperm count. We only worry after a year of trying. Relax and grab an ovulation kit

We have tried for 2 years and 7 months now but no success. Please put me in prayer or is there any alternative u can suggest for us.

We have been going to gynocologist and my husband sperm motility is too poor (20%)is there any drug he can take to increase the sperm motility? Please advice.

Doc, pls something has been bordering me and decided to ask you question pertaining that, doc is it possible for one under 28 cycle of her monthly period to ovulate on 9th day instead of on the 14th day (i mean 28days cycle). I saw my period on May 9th and June 5th.

Then on the 13th of June (ie on the night day) i saw something like egg white clear and very stretchy and also on 14th (the 10th day) and 15th (11th day)Monday morning and it disappear. When i expected to see it on the 14th day the ovulation day that is on Thursday, but nothing was coming out it looks at if i am not ovulating.

Please advice me, does it mean that i ovulated on the 9th day instead of 14th day. I am confused or is what i saw not ovulation?

Secondly, there is always whitish something that looks like grinded melon which i normally see whenever i wanted to clean inside my vagina with water or each time i urinated, something white like grinded melon will come out. Please what does it mean? Is it an infection or what? And will it hampered my chances of getting pregnant?

Please your candid advice will be highly appreciated.

Please doc, i went to see a doctor who told me that

(1) I am ovulating inside and not outside. Please what does that mean and will it effect my being pregnant?
(2) that my womb is on top instead of down. Please will it also effect my being pregnant?
(3) I usually see some pieces of something inside my private part whenever i clean up or insert my finger deep inside, is cream in colour and in pieces. Please doc what does it mean, is it infection or what?
(4) Doc, i had my last period on 12th May 2009 and whenever i clean up, i saw something that looks like pieces of read meat dropping and the doctor said that it is fibroid that is dropping so. Please tell me what is it and my period sometimes dropped in small bulk.

Please doc your kind advice on these questions will be highly appreciated.

I will advice you to see a specialist i.e Gynocologist who will examine you properly and possible send you to do some test to find out actually the cause of the problem. Ofcourse I know it will work out by the Special Grace of God.

Better still, you can click on page 34 of Doctor in the house: Obstetrics and Gynocolgy (address your mail to to Dr Katty) and logged in your complain which i believe she will definitely answer and give you the correct information that will guide you. She is wonderful in given advices and God's sent to the house for solving problems. The topic i told you to click on the page 34 of it is in health in Nairalan , the same place where you wrote your complain. Just read down you will see it.

No offense taken, truly. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable and I apologize if I did so. It looks like you are ovulating. Remember there is only a 20% chance of pregnancy even when you have sex on the exact date of ovulation. Your cycle is also on the longer side so this means you have less opportunities for fertilization. Be patient and please let me know how it goes

I am quite frankly put out by your repeated posts. I understand the urgency but this is a forum that is done free of charge, at the expense of my family time for the benefit, I hope, of the people who post their questions on here hoping for an opinion or sometimes a second opinion. This being said, ovulation occurs two weeks before the onset of menses and a gyn could prescribe clomid to help with ovulation

I saw my period on 2 Jan 2009, Feb 2, 2009 and March 9th and it stopped on March 13th and i met my husband on the 14h and 15th March but to my greatest surprise i noticed spotting on 19th March, 09 and it stopped on 23rd March 09. Please does it mean i dont ovulate or what is the problem, please educate me. Am very sorry for the inconvenience i am causing u.

Thanks a milliontimes for your advice. I did HSG last year and my fallapian tubes we okey and the two tubes were visual seen and normal. The problem now i dont know whether am ovulating or not. COuld you please, advice me on fertility drugs that induce ovualtion which is not harmful cos i learnt that clomid do have after effect (cancer). Please i need your advice.

Please i need your help cos i saw my period twice this month at an interval of one week i.e i saw the first one on march 9th and stopped on 13 th march but to my greatest surprise i saw it again on 18th march when i supposed to be on my ovualtion period.
