@panafrican,ah....i understand why you are still not convinced that hamas and hezbollah are terrorist cells nurtured by Iran to destabilize sunni and jews who are percieved to be 'unlawfully' occupying territory in the middle east.Nations of the middle east have remained alternating between war and
cold war for over a century now due to territorial disputes and ethnic intolerance which has always been fueled by Iran in its ceaseless quest for power and dominion.
Do you think that hezbollah is protecting lebanon's interests?,of course not, hezbollah is protecting iran's interest in lebanon!.it all boils down to isreal, groups like hamas and hezbollah seek to take back territories that originally belong to them,if this is allowed to happen, millions of jews will be displaced, israel's fragile statehood would be demolished, jews would become refugees in need of special charity. What do you expect isreal to do?,sit back and get beaten down?.
Iran is a big sponsor of Al quaeda.
pardon my mistake, iran is indeed shia

Not citizens of france are more superior than kenyans but they will always be sympathized by fellow europens.
That is what i'm saying!,Kenya is an important African nation, therefore i expect other african nations to troop out en masse against such barbaric handiwork of unsavory islamic parasites. When France was attacked, the whole of the west gathered at paris to show support and also condemn the attack, world leaders sympathized with france, even our clueless african leaders left their houses burning to sympathize with an european country that doesnt even care about them.
What is the function of the AU?.

@Missy89,i beg to differ;
(1)I never claimed that iran has the monopoly of sponsoring violent islamic movements, what i'm faulting is the motive behind such unholy 'charity',for Iran,it is all about
*becoming the regional hegemon of the middle east at all cost
*reclaiming territories which were lost after the fall of the persian empire, and wiping out the minorities who according to them,'illegaly' occupies land in the middle east.iran still considers the middle east as its personnal domain.
*waging of jihad and spreading of ethnic islam i.e spreading of shia islam throughout the arab league
(2)pardon my mistake, iran is shia.nevertheless, the expansionist ambition of Iran includes driving out 'infidels hordes' and committing ethnic massacres through sponsoring indigenous terrorist groups..an idea which most arabic nations are firmly against.it is wrong to conclude that states like isreal and turkey have expansionist agenda, clearly these nations only seek to establish their statehood and gain international clout

Then you should have visited #westgate mall attack. The difference between #Garrisa attack and #Chibokgirls attack is time.Secondly chibok girld can still be rescued they are still alive garrisa's are dead bodies.France is a Europen nation.Spot the difference.
What you are practically saying is that citizens of France are superior to the Kenyan people because France is an European nation?.
Of course,I know the difference and the circumstance surrounding both #ChibokGirls and #GarissaAttack, but i expect you to utilize your common sense to discern that while Kenya isnt a big international player,Africans should at least show solidarity with a fellow african country.
Only Nigeria showed solidarity with the kenyan people after the #GarissaAttack by strongly condemning such barbaric actions and vowing more support to the KDF .

....because the world envies Nigeria, the white nations and the other inferiority complex plagues African countries all envy Nigeria's giant stature and God given greatness.

Kenya has 4 terrorists walk into a university and massacre 147 students, it's hardly shown in world news.

If it is Nigeria now, BBC and CNN or AFP will scream news reports till their vocal cords almost rupture.

By the way, the South Africans are quiet about the incompetent Kenyan military and security, if it was Nigeria, they will shout ans nearly shiit for pa.nt

Where is that Kenyan kikuyu guy that was insulting Nigerian army for not stopping Boko Haram? Let him come explain why Kenyan army cannot stop Islamic terrorists inside Kenya killing students in hundreds in one day !

Nigeria has won her own war despite all the hate and envy from other countries
.
you nailed it.there is something about Nigeria that makes the world stand still and foam in the mouth with envy.

Why isnt #GarissaAttack in kenya generating worldwide mass outrage like the Nigerian #ChibokGirlsAbduction in 2014 or the Paris mall and magazine press attacks #CharlieHebdo?,is it that africans and the world at large dont value the lives of africans?,or are people just tired and exasperated about new islamic terrorist attacks?.

Patchesagain:
USA - obviously
China - no force projection
UK
India - no force projection, largely outdated equipment
Russia{or Germany} - this low? are you kidding me?
Germany{or Russia} - Lol Germany
France - this low?
Canada
Israel
Brazil
Real rankings:
USA
Russia/China
Uk/France
Turkey/Egypt/India/Germany/Spain
You need to learn this difference between Hyperpowers (USA), Superpowers (Russia,Uk,France), Great Nations (the rest), Regional Powers ect
Also, you need to consider that UK and France are part of the EU - which technically is the second most powerfull military on earth and could potentially challenge the US for Hyperpower status.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_the_European_Union
moffie, when determining a superpower, you dont consider the military might alone, there are many criterion that should be put into perspective, including:
Economic strength and growth
Population
Military strength and force projection and
Social development
military isnt everything.

Foreign Affairs › Re: WW2: Had Germany And Imperial Japan Won by EVarn(m): 9:10pm On Apr 04, 2015
If the Germans and Japanese had won,it would have been a disaster for africans, mostly due to the fact that we have great human and mineral resources, yet we are too weak to protect it.also, the germans of the 16th-18th century were extremely racist, they would have bullied any nation that isnt aryan into subservience.
Unlike the US,the germans wouldnt have suscribed to the idea of ruling the world through pacts, alliances and a world order, they would have preferred the totalitarian approach of subjugating the world through military force. This would have sparked a continous series of uprisings and revolts that would have spanned through decades or even centuries,as revolutionary leaders would always arise from every part of the world to challenge the german authority.
Finally, the Germans would have sought to conquer japan after using it as a stepping stone to power.
Foreign Affairs › Re: If Israel Can Have An Atomic Bomb Why Can't Iran? by EVarn(m): 8:51pm On Apr 04, 2015
@Op,a very good question:
(1)Iran as we know it,is an islamic nation that supports, funds and directly arm many islamic terror groups all over the middle east{such as hamas, homus, hezbollah,al nusrah,al quaeda etc..},and indeed the world at large{AQUIM,al-shebaab,islamic brotherhood, houthi islamic militia etc..},infact,iran practically holds power and influence in many regions of the world through a vast network of islamic jihad militias.
Therefore, allowing such a nation to possess nuclear munitions is a terrible disaster in making.
(2)Iran has always held expansionist agenda in the middle east, countries like saudi arabia, isreal, egypt etc..feel threatened by iran's unchecked ambition to become the regional leader of the middle east.iran's primary agenda is to spread sunni islam across the region, which may involve persecution of shia muslims, jews and christians; something which terrifies both the saudis and isreal.
(3)iran and isreal abhor deep hatred for each other, nuclear weapon will escalate the conflict.

The navy posted a coastal warning.
All vessels were required to keep out of the area.
No navy does that rubbish.
lol.not all fishing boats have functional radionic system to receive such flippant alerts and signals....dont you think that if the fishermen had recieved such warning, they would have stirred clear of the area?.
Yes,many standard navies when performing risky naval exercises and maneovers, always post a few patrol boats to seal off the area from wandering civilians, sometimes even red flares and fireworks are usually used, are you dead yet?...hehehehe....what is the iron oath again?..aha....that what is dead may never die.

Nigerian troops have seized the town of alagarno in southern borno from the deadly boko haram islamic terrorist sect.Alagarno is widely known as a village that was transformed into a formidable and dangerous fortress by boko haram fighters: the town boasted a sizable slice of boko haram's huge armoury, including attillery guns, tanks, armoured fighting vehicles, heavily weaponized hilux vans etc...but was overpowered by the nigerian army's highly superior firepower after being significantly softened up by ceaseless airstrikes.Boko haram's grand sheik,Abu-Bakr Shekau who was formally located in the town is now confirmed to be on the run from the nigerian military merciless onslaught.

lol.naija's navy is one of the best in the world, and one of the most advanced on the continent,if i were to join the navy,it would be a great honour, especially being part of the SBS;which takes great amount of skill and training.Unlike the incompetent SAN that cannot shoot at a stationary target, much less a speeding gunboat.

At night small boats look like small boats. You struggle to identify a specific boat. Sure they can find a boat but you struggle to say what it is.
how can a frigate or submarine "struggle" to identify a fishing boat from a target drone?,what are all its radars and surveillance installations meant for?,cooking soup for sailors?
There is absolutely no excuse for the SAN's gross incompetence.if you cant even shoot straight at a fishing boat{thank God for that},how then will you defend your vast coastal region from the staggering explosion of pirate activities in the south african region?

Come to think of it,the Angola vs South Africa war was the biggest conventional war in Africa yet.AND South Africa LOST,BIG TIME!!!
The boko haram terrorist insurgent war is the biggest and deadliest in Africa still.
And the Nigerian Military came out tops in an unprecedented military campaign in African history.
This just add to our rich military records in Africa,Europe and on home soil.

Who made it a restricted zone?,the area is a public zone, the fishermen were probably frequent visitors of that area, they probably visited that area everyday to scout for fish.you cant just wake up one morning, label the area a 'restricted zone' and expect them to go hungry simply because you want to impress a bunch of german sailors with your amateur naval skills!
The SAN should have stationed patrol boats at the outer perimeter to prevent unwanted intrusion, that is how proffesional navies operate.
