Just look at the response of governments around the continent.
What would happen if we start gunning down their people, cause both sides hold protests. One side would claim they're targeted.
Even the new Malawi gov which is hostile to SA is now revelling its true colours.
lol, malawi revealing its true colours?,so you expect them to sit down peeling banana while dozens of their citizens are brutally murdered by xenophobic dogs?.
Even your precious China is already "condemning" the violent attacks,if these attacks continues for too long, with your government continuously dragging its feet without taking robust actions, then its gonna come up in a UNSC deliberation, and you know what that means.

The problem with south Africa is that it has first world laws for a third world population, if you could fire live ammunition like in marikana, the whole thing would end.
Rubber bullets and tear gas won't do anything, they'll just come back the next day.
If the SA government wishes to control the savage vagabonds called 'black south africans',then they would have to employ every legitimate means possible to limit the unpatriotic excesses of their citizenry.including declaring a state of emergency, deploying armed troops as deterrent, constant aerial surveillance of hotzones, imposing a curfew in extremely fragile regions, occasional house arrest of suspected individual or groups, temporal legalization of possession of moderate firearms by foreigners for the sole purpose of self defence etc...
But it seems that even the SA government is in tacit support of the ongoing savagery, therefore the only solution is a joint AU sanction and blockade.

Gave birth to Nigeria's freedom and government by the people.
SA never even contributed to anything in Nigeria, the petty gimmick which mandela orchestrated did nothing to impress Abacha,it was the urgings and protests of the people and numerous pressure groups like the NLC that toppled military regime in Nigeria, thereby prompting General Ibrahim Babangida to cede power to the civilian regime headed by the former head of state Olusegun Obansanjo.

who gave mandela power?,where did he get it from?.who is mandela and what has he ever done to better Africa?.
How do you think your mandela will feel if he could see the carnage and destruction being perpetuated by his people?.
Why oh why,did we ever save SA from apartheid!,a few hours ago,I watched another video of the xenophobic terror acts performed by south africans on innocent black foreigners{including children and toddlers} and i struggled to banish a festering raging hate from my mind. You people are animals!,Your government and traditional rulers and citizens are all savage beasts with primitive instincts of unprovoked violence.Your mandela didnt change much in SA,infact things in your country have gone worse.
To me,people like Nyerere,Nkruma,Nnamdi azikwe,Goodluck jonathan, etc are better men who made more impact on African life.

Mandela fighting for democratization of Nigeria.

British officials said that President Nelson Mandela of South Africa was a driving force behind the decision. They said that Mr. Mandela recommended suspension after winning support for the move at a caucus of African states.
Mr. Mandela told delegates at the Commonwealth meeting that he recalled how much strength he drew during his years as a political prisoner from the knowledge that the outside world was pressing South Africa to introduce democracy.
Quote closed.
Mandela literally suspended Nigeria and pushed for freedom in Nigeria utilising his power.

Mandela was an African living in South Africa whose nationality is South African; and Augustine is an African living in Nigeria whose nationality is a Nigerian. Augustine and Nelson Mandela are thus two Africans with the former being just ordinary citizen of Nigeria and the latter being the greatest African ever to exist in the universe.

Mandela fought for democratization of Nigeria from military rule and was an activist in fighting for suspension of Nigeria in the Commonwealth. Go and learn history.

And fighting for Nigeria's suspension from the commonwealth is a gallant achievement?

How are whites to blame?
Colonialism provided a massive (but costly) leap forward for africa.
We are just seeing the next logical step for post-colonial states - Nationalism.
People in South Africa are starting to think beyond tribes and are now considering themselves as "South African" and everyone else as "foreign"
This is an important step.
It took Europe 2000 years to develop their cultures into a state where they could implement pan-Europa in the form of the EU
Colonialism brought about a costly civilization that saw millions of black 'slaves' carted away on cargo ships like freshly caught sardines to the Americas and Europe. They divided the continent like a massive chocolate cake, hastily throwing together rival clans and drawing up demacations to suit their greedy ambitions and provide more resources to be merrily looted, and today we have intolerance, violence and massacre throughout the continent.
The divide still remains, but it is only well hidden.

We just keep thwarting the short lived African success story.Seems the black race is still not matured and ready to move forward. Am very disappointed that it's this little things that we still take into consideration. We keep repeating history.
Man,we still remain constrained by ethnic and sociopolitical divides imposed upon Africans by white imperialists who shared the continent amongst themselves as if they were sharing grilled turkey without considering the resounding impacts.
I sincerely hate the fact that we have to blame all our shortcomings on the white race, but the truth is that the whites are indeed to blame.
In the modern world,Pan Africanism is a pipe dream.

You are very allergic to the truth.
We all know that the only thing stopping the AU from crushing SA with economic sanction{and perhaps provisional suspension from the AU} is your perceived position on the continent.
As it is,some countries like malawi, burundi, and congo are already taking robust actions by imposing border blockades and travel restrictions{funny how it is the SADC countries that initiated "sanctions" on their purported regional leader..hahahaha..}.
I'm not allergic to the truth, because their is simply no 'truth' to be said.
You are trying to justify the unlawful, barbaric and primitive killing of black foreigners in SA,but you forgot that many of the people carrying out these targetted terrorist attacks are benefactors of government programmes and reforms.
To stem the malevolent demon called xenophobia, your government went ahead to mandate all foreign firms to employ a specific number of black south africans, but in the end,it made no difference.

Idleness is not a factor, xenophobia is fuelled by.
-Competition that the locals cannot tolerate relating to small businesses. The only means of survival by black SA during apartheid was thought small business management and since then that opportunity has since been seized by foreigners.
- Increased number of violence involving drug dealings by foreigners
- Increased incidences of money scams and dubious electronic bank smses that seeks to dub people of their money from their bank accounts.
- Widespread practice of hoodoo and fake magical healing as opportunity to dub people of their money. Often, victims are promised luck, success and prosperity.
-Over increase of number of foreigners with fake documents, etc. However that is not an excuse for SA to beat those people
South africans are generally unintelligent people, otherwise you wouldnt be intimidated by scammers, frauds, drug peddlers, and foreign small business owners. Many people are still suffering from apartheid trauma.

Since when did xenophobic attacks became terror attacks by nature? It is not a secret that foreigners have added an immense volume of challenges to socioeconomic problems of SA,but I do not condone xenophobia by any means and I condemn it in strongest possible terms. There are many illegal foreigners in SA,and have grown to the number that authorities cannot control anymore.I think now it is time that Nigeria as economic power of Africa should help SA by offloading some of the foreigners to themselves. Many Nigerians in SA have sought asylum even though it is known that they come from peaceful areas of Nigeria. How many countries have they passed on their way that could have possibly offered them asylum and why only SA of all African countries that should give asylum to all Africans.Africa should unite and work together in offering asylum to other war torn African countries and should stop making it an only SA problem
Xenophobic terror attacks in SA is a product of idleness

there's no third force or cold war playing out here. it's just the zulus displaying their savage and animalistic characters as lead by their barbaric zulu king and the son of an iliterate president.
lol.A conspiracy theorist will always construct a hidden agenda out of every skirmish.
But on the critical side,we must consider that some people are fanning the raging flames of xenophobic terror attacks in SA,whether it is an indigenous or external influence is yet to be determined.I concur with your post, even if it is external interference that is fanning the current terror attacks in SA,savage south africans who have made themselves tools of destabilization must also be blamed, afterall, only an animal is forced to eat grass. If they arent animals, then the suggestion wouldnt be made in the first place.
All i know is that we should protect our citizens living in SA by all diplomatic means.

And add the fact that race relation are at an all time low after a campaign by EFF to vandalize statues of heroes of the white minority and forcefully occupy land, the EFF leader was accused by African intelligence blog of working for the CIA.
It is the most alarming state of sociopolitical quagmire that could ever happen to a bi-racial nation such as SA.
While the CIA isnt an omnipotent network of sinister shadows, their reach is however very vast. Not only has the EFF widened the racial divide in the country, the ruling ANC party has also judiciously contributed by enabling policies which seeks to seize land and properties of the white citizens and place them into the grubby palms of the black majority, the situation can be likened to that of a nation sitting on a keg of gunpowder, waiting to explode.SA is the model example of a nation taking 2 steps forward and another 2 steps backwards i.e it isnt going anywhere.

There's clearly a third force behind all this, the same thing happened in 2008 when the then president Mbeki was at loggerheads with TPTB, 2008 was also the year the electricity crises started, than it all went back to normal like nothing had happened. This year the same thing, electricity crises and xenophobic violence.
Anyway, they should just give in to the American demands or the problem will escalate.
Indeed, the normal discontent between black south african citizens and other black foreigners has been harnessed by an elusive third party to orchestrate riots and violent attacks, with an ultimate goal of ruining SA's economy, political standing in the comity of nations{especially Africa},and destabilize the nation, thereby making it an armed failed state like Libya. This was how ISIS started, and due to corruption and lack of political will,SA find itself impotent to the plight of its national stability.SA's political structure is highly compromised.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by EVarn(m): 9:14pm On Apr 16, 2015
South Africa on the cusp of anarchy!
Deadly xenophobic assaults have risen in frequency since the beginning of this year, sparking continental outrage as dozens of black foreigners have been killed or wounded in several staged mob attacks, while thousands have been displaced. The new spate of xenophobic attacks comes after a zulu monarch and the son of the South African president made calls for the immediate evacuation of foreigners from the country, thereby escalating the budding conflict.
It is indeed curious that the recent attacks comes at a time when the south african ministry for finance confirmed that the country had converted over half its reserves from US dollars to Chinese yuan, also highlighting shift of monetary policy from foreign transaction in dollars to foreign transaction in yuan.Interesting enough, this new brazen government monetary policy embarked upon by the South African government has sparked "cold war" between the US and SA.

I support the implementation of partial sanctions on south african businesses, especially DStv which recently held our court order in contempt.

right. lol! No doubt southies are not our friends. they are ungreatful competitors. But little did they realize they're not even a true competitor to Nigeria. They inherited the arogance of the anglo-dutch but lack the brains to pursue it. They believed they could run this giant continent from down under! Well, Ethiopia and Egypt have lined up to take 2nd and 3rd place in Africa behind Nigeria. We can consider Southafrica in 4th or 5th place. Thats where they truely belong. The anglo-dutch hype is melting fast like wax under the fire. And that country is being exposed as she lies butt-naked while the world stare at her ugliness hidden all this while under propanganda.
A very apt description, the southies are always trying to play 'leadership' role on the continent, yet they cannot curb the violence, idleness, corruption and disease that is plaguing their dyfunctional society.

This just won't work.If the comity of nations has a problem with the UNSC,they would vote to abolish it.
Indeed, the superpowers who enjoy the unlimited political privileges that comes with having veto power wont be so keen to relinquish their UNSC seats, they'd fight tooth and nail to protect their imperial authority.
I doubt that even a UN general assembly vote can abolish UNSC veto.

The Security Council has played an important watchdog role in the world. They have employed elements of checks and balances and there's a reason why the UNSC has permanent members and non-permanent ones.Someone has to play the bigger boss and the permanent members are ladened with this using their veto power.
Too much power in the hands of a few breeds calamity.I support the removal of veto power, let every nation of the world battle it out politically on equal grounds.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Abolish The Veto Power And The UN Security Council by EVarn(m): 11:52am On Apr 14, 2015

Which it's a democracy you either accept the consequences of what could ensue because the member states would be directly responsible for their actions cause it has to be a majority vote from all members in the bloc. Therefore no country big or small should have any hard feelings towards their elected representative.
This is international politics,it is quite different from in-house politics that individual countries practice. When we weigh in national interest,it would be practically impossible for some countries to accept the decision of the majority, this would in turn cause tension and intolerance, further dividing already fragile regions and sparking conflicts.
In regions like the middle east, their will be war if either Saudi arabia,Isreal or Iran gets the permanent UNSC seat,no matter what the majority says.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Abolish The Veto Power And The UN Security Council by EVarn(m): 8:21am On Apr 14, 2015

The UNSC has done more good. Its a system that has survived for decades now and it has been replicated in major blocs but in more different way.
What good has the UNSC brought except to cause war and place reckless sanctions?,either everyone has veto,or no one should have it.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Abolish The Veto Power And The UN Security Council by EVarn(m): 8:19am On Apr 14, 2015
CyrusXandria:
How about we set up a democratic system where membership to the security council is by election from all member states in each region. Each region has a representative each.
That is exactly what i'm against, for example,if Ethiopia were to be elected UNSC member for the African region, how do you think countries like South africa,Nigeria, and Algeria will see it?,their will be discontent between african states because the position of the real UNSC is a permanent one.

The US AFRICOM Commander in Chad nearly had a stroke when he heard that we had mysteriously purchased armed drones from China despite their stiffling arm embargo,i'm sure that what made them even more frightened was that we could already operate armed drones with unequalled efficiency in such a short time.they got even more shocked when they saw us cruising around in powerful tanks,APCs,IFVs,AFVs and launching rockets from powerful MRLs..hehehehe....And they dont even know if that is even a fraction of our military hardware.
