Nairaland General › Tragedy Along Abuja/lokoja Express Way. by Evina(op): 2:11pm On Dec 17, 2014 |
I witnessed this tragic road accident a few minutes ago. The affected transport vehicle is Peace Mass Transit. The driver broke his left leg, most of the passengers were badly injured and some died. We met the bus badly damaged, lying sideways. A driver who witnessed the start of the whole tragedy said the driver of the bus overtook his trailer in "mad speed" then his tyre exploded and he swerved into the bush. He came back to the road, with the same speed, and crashed into one of those slabs demarcating the roads. The impact lifted the bus into the air, it somersaulted and crashed. Many of the passengers were stuck and the driver was caught in the door. I dialled the Nigeria emergency number, 112 no connection. Others, helped lift the bus and move the accident victims. Thirty minutes or more later, the Federal Road Safety Corps showed up with an ambulance. Such a sad, horrible sight. Pandemonium everywhere. These people were probably travelling to join their loved ones for the approaching festivities. |

honeric01: Then why make it sound like you gave out your number to him because you wanted to be nice rather than say for "opportunity sake"? meaning even if he didn't pay for your oranges, you still would have given him the number for the reasons you listed above.
--Operation holes picking mode---- I gave him my number because I wanted to be nice and also for productive opportunities that may spring up. It is always a gamble, but one I find worthy. You are not smart enough to pick any holes. If you were, you woulda analyzed my earlier post before jumping to conclusions and displaying your lack of wit. |

honeric01: But you gave him your number init? if you wanted to be nice, giving him your number was to what purpose? what were you expecting him to do with your number? use it to play pool? Not that I am obliged to give you any explanation. But, so you can learn something, I like to give out my phone number because we are in an era where networking is key. I have had productive professional relationships established through networking. I not only hand out my number, I ask for yours first and if you turn out to be a nuisance, I loose your number. |

Like, seriously? You just affirmed what the OP is saying. Where're your principled; where's your self-esteem? Why do broke niggers always feel they gotta make a stale point? |

blackprowler: You are dumb. I'm unlikely to marry if I remain trapped in Nigeria with these women and their understanding of life LOL. Don't worry, keep hustling and sleeping at the embassy, one of these days, you may get lucky enough to meet someone who will let you wash their dishes in TOGO. |

shadowgwalker: this is it! for some time now I've been finding it difficult to shave a particular part of my forbidden kingdom. please I need suggestions because we've argued this over here and these are what people say on how to shave around the outlet cavity ; -while sitting on the toilet seat, brush it off with your blade. - while squatting, use a cream -some people leave that part, some girls don't even bother. a research was carried out at the university of ASUU, Nigeria by Prof Shadow G Walker. a number of persons were experimented and it was found that 80% of the persons were neatly shaved but around the yarnsh hole, many left bushy with multiple strands of hairs fighting to block the entrance from external or foreign objects. now the question is thrown to you guys, how do you shave that part of the human anatomy?please explain in details. thanks At the highlighted Best method, stand erect, close to a window on one feet, hang the other on the window pane, then apply cream and scrape off with a sharp knife. Wash with salted hot water and dudu osun soap, pat dry with towel and moisturize with red oil. |

Tosin, number 8 is sooo true about men! The other day, I was buying oranges. I said to the seller, "please give me soft ones cos I want to juice them". Next thing I heard a voice that wasn't the seller say, "why only the soft ones"? I no answer. After my selection, the guy paid. I said thank you and was on my way, when he rushed to catch up with me. I am usually not friendly with guys I don't know, but decided to change since a new year is approaching. LOL. I even gave him my number, an act I regret doing because na so so super story and Ikebe super gist the guy dey disturb me with since then. All because, I was nice enough to boost his ego by letting him pay for my oranges. This scenario happens every time. They pay for stuff you did not ask them to pay for and give you lifts because they want to "try their luck" and not because they are angels sent to make your day. |

I like this title. It is so refreshing to see a thread about females that doesn't have something about "Nigerian girls" as a title. |

missterious: Just what I wanted to ask. Looks like underwear. LOL, isn't that just crass? Honestly our Nigerian celebrities don't know what it means to be a celeb. Later they will say they see themselves taking over Hollywood, when they haven't even managed their stardom effectively in their local terrain... the other day, I saw Tiwa Savage making a fool of herself in the name of performance, yet she says Beyonce is her role model. They never learn, after all these years. Celebrities Ko, Local champions Ni!. |

Beennkumar: Not really. Someone will always love more than the other. Really? I don't quite agree. I have been in a situation where I thought I loved him more while he thinks he loves me more. Both parties always try to show the other that what they feel is stronger. In that case, who loves more? Personally, I feel that love is a choice and should be given selflessly and without conditions. Some people measure the degree of love to give, LOL. Their show of love is dependent on how much love their partner gives. That is not love, cos love is giving without expectations. |
