My friend actually came to me for an advice on her relationship ish so I decided to let it out here to also get ur opinions. My friend is actually in a relationship with a 1st year guy and she claims dey truly love each other, she also said dat he's future is bright and she knows it. Her question is, is it possible for her to wait for like 6 years for her boyfriend to be made cos he actually want their relationship to lead to marriage. Again, it's actually LDR.

At the highlighted, she is in the best position to answer that.

However, I personally know three people with similar experiences.
One: they met in secondary school, they will be getting married this month, their relationship is well over 10years old.
Two: they met in year one, got married a few years after youth service. They both live in the USA now and have three kids.
Three: she met him when he was in two hundred level and she was already a graduate. Although, the guy is older. She waited, groomed him and supported him career wise. They are getting married next year.

So, yes it is possible to nurture and support a guy with a bright future and reap the fruits of your investments. The question is, is she willing to take the risk?

I'm thankful for successfully reaching a goal I had set for myself earlier in the year...
I'm thankful for having met and related with some new people, I subsequently learnt new things about myself from this experience...
I'm thankful for a host of friends who had and still have my back...
I'm most thankful and grateful for my family, my parents and siblings - the encouragements/support they always provide...

This year ran faster than I had hoped, but in all I'm thankful for being able to type this in top-notch health - 2015 is a year to look forward to, and I believe there will be lots more to be thankful for every single day of it.

Personally, I think a woman who has her earnings, should cater to house keeping needs.

To your question, I don't necessarily see anything wrong in it.

You mentioned he earns four times her salary, does he not also take care of the house rent, children's school fees and upkeep? Why is she being greedy? What does she need the money for house keeping for? Besides, has he not always been like that? Why is she complaining now?

She should be careful not to start looking for faults where there is none.

I am posting this on this section for obvious reasons; it is the section I am most active in wink

It is a new month, not just any other month, but the last month in the year 2014.

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude, as I begin to reminisce on the experiences I have had in 2014.

For real, this year has been awezome cool

and I want to take out time to be thankful by listing the things I am thankful for, because as a wise saying goes, "The thankful heart is a joyful heart and a joyful heart is an attraction for blessings."

So here is what I am thankful for wink

I am thankful for the gift of health

I am thankful for the opportunity to pursue my dream career

I am thankful for the restoration of relationships with loved ones, that was once sour

I am thankful for new inspirations, ideas and fresh dreams.

I am thankful for the privilege of being a blessing to others, more than ever, financially, materially and by just being me

I am thankful for new milestones that have been set for 2015 and the clear prospects of achieving them

I am thankful that I am a part of Nairaland and really thankful to all who have followed me and sent me private messages even though I didn't reply sad
