In the 60s, the former western region had severe political crises with hooliganism to the extent that a state of emergency was declared for the area. The crises improved when the unitary govt came into power. So what do u say about that?
Thats y many well meaning individuals plus I advocate for a confab so that whichever govt practised will occur in stability and peace.
The presence of reps u mentioned above doesnt solve many problems. We are not talking about infrastructures at the grassroot level here. We are talking about for eg d insecurity in northern Nigeria bokoharam and non-bokoharam(north has always been what it is, north!), embezzlement of public funds( even those reps are culprits), tribalism(most lawmakers/ FG politicians are even tribalistic and some will not want to advocate for what will benefit a particular region); these tnz are matters of emergency and can only be addressed thru policies made by a conference of peoples from nigeria.
The system of govt can even be deduced there. Like i said, we cant wake up one morn and start practising sth. If Nigeria is not sanitized, no system of govt will work to its expectations. I tell ya.

The National assmbly is obviously the shortest means to this end.They are the true sovereigns elected to represent evry nationality in this country.Though i agree with you tht our lawmakers are an incompetent lot,but thts why we hav got the right to recall and vote out undesirables evry 4 years.
