FamilyRe: Your Opinion Is Needed. by Ewuro4: 11:45am On Mar 08, 2016
Different strokes, Inferior? sounds like a weird mentality.

we find driving a very tasking chore in my family. We both actually don't like driving. We often run for the passengers seat everytime we have to travel together. To add, It's just annoying driving while the other person flicks their gadget. Also, 1) You can freely use your phone without fidgety of cops 2) get to take a snooze as you like.

Yes there's an empowering rush behind wheels (summer time) sometimes but it comes with some discomfort too. That space between the index and thumb feels numb from repeated driving & my lower back cramps so bad. Yesterday, I took metro for the most part even. I've had it jare.

FamilyRe: Can You Kiss Your Daughter Like This (pic) by Ewuro4: 5:51pm On Mar 06, 2016
My thoughts? Not bad at all.

We kiss our daughters exactly like that everyday. And they know not to do such with anyone else except their parents.

Uncomfortable onlookers should take a hike.

Beautiful Sunday.

I'll be deceiving readers if I wrote that, so none taken.

A loving or may I call it 'Fair' marriage requires many many Mandatory tasks and roles that comes with accountability. unconditional love will forfeit these roles/tasks.

Even oga at the Top dittoed my sentiments. smiley

Good life itself is conditional.

'Team work' makes life glides smoothly.

You have a rest of mind when delegated Plans are executed accordingly.
FamilyRe: Do You Love Anyone Unconditionally? by Ewuro4: 5:20am On Mar 02, 2016
I do... My Parents and my kids. I'll never desert them 'No matter what'.

Every other Love is Conditional IMO. Most working relationships entail/require some sort of effort from each partner. Otherwise, boredom knocking. Who wants that?

Comedian , doesn't take life too serious, supportive, doesn't intrude my kitchen, sex is G , best part? , great dad.

It takes effort to build a peaceful home, and finally have a rest of mind. I don't think I wanna go through that phase ever again in another life. So I'll stick to what I've got.

Of course he shares similar sentiments with me. A good Marriage takes Effort to build.
FamilyRe: Anger Management - How Do You Manage Anger? by Ewuro4: 5:44pm On Feb 18, 2016
Discussed exact topic with kids yesterday and they came up with brilliant ideas to manage anger whenever frustrations crawl in or they're having a bad day:

1. Stress balls: this is a handheld squeaky/shy ball that works great.

2.Wackamole grin

3.Music

4.Time out /space

5. Walk /run around the block( works great for me)

Thank you Onegai, But you didn't touch up on OP's main question/inquiry. Expectations and steps in regards to big move like this.

After all , people still thrive in same 'messy' Nigeria no? Abi no be same Naija una dey live? Abi no be same Naija una dey take music lessons and still have time for yourselves? I'm talking REAL day to day LIFE please.

Nigeria is not liveable huh, same Nigeria folks (an average citizen) build houses from ground up with raw cash?

yellowdiamonds:
Hello! I just need some general advice or insight. My hubby, after living abroad for 15 years, now wants to return home. I and the children have never been there. It is a big move and I am excited but nervous. What advice do you have for me? And what can I expect in terms of housing, job searching and schools for the children? I know I am asking a very broad question but I would appreciate any advice at all. Thank you.
First of, I advice you to visit with kids first prior to moving finally.

First of which is the most important Q: I hope you and/or hubby have secured jobs with benefits? (but of-course pardon my silly Q) I'm not a big fan of people relocating home to do "business" shocked shocked -Epic fail in most cases and they're back in no time picking up the pieces of their lives that mostly leave them depressed and embarrassed.

my friends moved (3yrs now) and I tell you the schools over there are more expensive compared to what we pay here.

Now let's be real here, you will enjoy Nigeria for sure,in fact. Like I firstly inquired; provided you have constant income to live comfortably and most esp. reside in secured part of the country(those gated estates). Don't bother building mansion for starters, you'll end up renting it out at last, it's no point. Lease/buy those condos for starters.

You have numerous maids allocated into different house chores run errands for you 24/7 , and your life will never be the same again. She lives like an Ant-queen. She has definitely reached her final destination(her words)

Pardon my mashed-up post. As you know it, we are always in a hurry here on weekdays grin

Onegai (baby E's mom) your suggestions are needed here.

one answer to your question... ladies are expected to get married in their early twenties, once she clocks 25, the 'go and marry' crew will attack but a guy in his early twenties has little or no responsibility so what is stopping him from going out there to hustle and make a living for his future family... mind you, once the lady gets married, she is expected to start bearing children which might affect her future dreams...

To all the ladies out there looking for a guy that can give you a comfortable life

you are not gold diggers at all, these guys are just getting too lazy these days.

FamilyShe’s Wicked And Embarrasses Me In Public, Man Tells Court •he Must Restore Me T by Ewuro4(op): 9:29am On Feb 07, 2016
January 30, 2016
Written by:
Ayomide Owonibi with Agency Reports

THIRTY-FIVE-YEAR-OLD woman, Basirat Alatise, whose husband, Morufu Alatise, 48, dragged before an Agboyi/Ketu customary court caused a mild drama when she turned down the divorce, saying that the only condition that will make her accept the break-up is if the husband could restore her to the state he met her so that she could be attractive to a man if she is willing to get married again.

Morufu had petitioned the court to dissolve the three-year-old marriage on the grounds that there is no more love in the marriage.

He also cited destruction of property, constant embarrassment in public and show of wickedness as reasons for the divorce.

But his wife insisted he must get her back to the state he met her or he would be stuck with her for life.

Morufu told the court that he met Basirat at a carnival and liked her and then decided to marry her.

He said he met her mum who gave her approval and they got married.

According to him, he told Basirat that he had another woman who had a child for him and she accepted the arrangement but that when she moved into his house, she proved to be stubborn, fighting the mother of his child whenever she came to visit, and also embarrassing him in the process.

He added that his wife even got to the point of getting him arrested and locking him up in a police cell several times.

But when the court asked the wife if she also wanted the divorce, Basirat said she was against it and would never agree to it unless Morufu made her to go back to how she was.

“When I met my husband, he never told me he was married. My relatives though, were asking me how a man in his forties would not be married, that it would be better we investigate and know why he was not yet married all these years.

“It was then that we discovered that he already had a wife and when I confronted him, he said that the wife he married had died. After a while, we discovered it was a lie, that the wife was alive and I became friends with her.

“After a while, we then discovered that he now has another girlfriend he was secretly seeing and the lady comes to his office which is in our house to visit him. It was very embarrassing for me and when I confronted him, he asked the lady to beat me up.

“We fought and the lady tore my clothes and I immediately went to report at the police station and he was arrested and put in cell because he refused to produce the lady who fought me but I eventually bailed him.

“I forgave him but he still brings the new girlfriend to his office which my father gave him. I couldn’t take it anymore, so I usually harass him so that he would know that I am not happy with his attitude, yet he still continued and had the audacity to say he wants divorce.

“I will never accept any divorce except he has the power to take me back to the position he met me before I got pregnant; return all the money I have spent, otherwise, this marriage is until death do us part,” she said

you have said it all, I now see where you draw your laziness from. According to your words not mine, your mother is the breadwinner of the family and when your father couldn't stand it, he gave up and allowed her rule... A lazy man can only bring forth another lazy man, I wonder how many guys are in your family. When a man allows his sons watch their mother feed the family he is only creating a big mess, not your fault dear, blame popsy.... If Adam wasn't sleeping or lazying around, Eve would not have been put in the position of fending for the family and we would all have been in the garden by now... Ogbeni free talk and #FeedYourWoman

your suggestion, your business... my suggestion, my business too... one of those lazy things with nothing in their pocket that will start crying foul the moment a girl demands they act like men... you and the op seem to be reasoning from the same place and I think I know why... ask your father questions, if he had your type of reasoning, he wouldn't have been able to wife your mother... man up and do the needful, stop attacking the female folks for your inability to be a man
My mother's generation are made jackals via hard work and determination. They are threat to any man's wealth. When they (men) couldn't stand the heat, they got out of the damn kitchen. Shuo

He's not man enough? So financial strength depicts manliness in your opinion? Gosh, See what you're spewing , some women are fighting for your independence and freedom from oppression (rolls eyes) and here you are looking for a man to pick you up from the gutter and brush you up to his standards. When he starts to wire you with grave insults regarding how he bought and feeds your entire village altogether, you come on NL with alternate moniker and start wailing.
