Dami we are old school jare Times have changed. I'm always tempt to give this one a hard head knock but always hold back coz of his age.(thinking in my head if I can talk like that to my brother of same age). It's somewhat awkward jare compared to our current environment trend. I guess we have to blame it on our culture and upbringing. |
naijababe:Babe the point is they are not even wired to fall in love with such age gap. My kindergartener only converses, will invite, play dates with a first grader at home and in school. The first question they (not even me) asks new neighbours is 'what grade are you'? If we have older kid over, everybody play seperately. That's how strict their orientation is. No freaking way. Hypergamy is soo old school jare. |
Hmm Hypergamy.. Only a big deal with Nigerians. Times have changed and financial status is not a big deal anymore. New age men are open to their bacon winner wives. For Parents with school age children here; Speaking of new age, Do you notice in our children's schools, that mixed age grouping stops at school age?(pre-Kindergarten). *Recesses are divided into different times to prevent what we champion in Nigeria. *First graders cannot play with a third grader etc * Infact I've never seen a 12th grader ask a 10th grader out to a prom. Never. Come to think of it; I don't think I'll ever endorse one old agbaya to ask my daughters hand in marriage because he's i'ntellectual level' is assumed to be higher than hers?? By the way, What's the age difference btw Kath & prince for example? 1or 2? Obama & Michele? Bush & Hilary? To name few. Times have changed folks. My zero cents.. |
cococandy:I hope so too. Lucky you. Please take it easy and drink lots of 3.5% milk That boy must look Freeeshhhh. all4naija:Thanks. You got that right, best way to wash every sugary dessert down.. Milky Way. all4naija:yes very and crunchy too had to toss half of it. Don't wanna ruin my teeth.I'll let it soak longer next time. all4naija:'You meant no harm' but your expressions come across kinda rude. How I wish NL is a scifi open concept where posters are within reach.. The kain beating you for don get here would've blinded your face shut tete. What is so funny in White rice and eforiro fish stew? Do you have any idea what it takes to make a meal from scratch? People need to respect others effort and enough with these unsolicited criticisms. |
lolaxavier:Lololol but your na Yankee pikin dey your pic na. NAIJA pikin no get that kain liver bro, knowing the kind of beating theyll get from their parents. |

shrekandfiona: Drastic times calls for drastic measures.Congrats Cococandy. I hope you have a spît cup handy? ayoi:True. Yes. Overcooked vegetables is unpleasant to the eyes, though still tasty. ![]() I only blanch my veggies (pour boiling water over it then immediately shock it in ice cold water to retain the greeness) , never cook them. Bros abeg stop it , if you know what I mean, it's just pointless going back and forth with that dude, it's clear that he's here to ruffle feathers , please ![]() Just stop it. Abeg of you. Let this thread continue ![]() Good morning everyone |
Those knives and bômbś emoticons though ![]() |
aspirebig:Then what, She 'automatically' cuts off her sexcapades contacts too? ![]() I don't think so. OP.. LAUNCH THAT OPERATION ASAP! ![]() |
obiksam:Don't mean to sound rude sir but @calling grandma a witch, does that make your mom a witch? What's with summoning her to ritual grounds , for what? Are you in the right state of mind atall? even when your mom is raging as a result of this, you're supposed to be the tension buffer , no, instead you opted to be irrational and ready to go for the kill when you could've apologized to your mom on her behalf and stop beating the dead horse. If not for anything, she's still the mother of your children and will forever be in their lives so you gonna have to learn to tolerate her regardles of your differences. Simmer your brain sir, you have two kids to raise. |
ladyF:That makes two of we hehe *dusts shoulders* who no like better thing? ![]() |
tatacherie:Yes you can use yam or plantain or any other carb of choice. I used Spinach&Bok choy leaves(you can use any greens) . I also used olive oil hence the bright green color. So I deep fried Tomato paste (tin tomato) and crushed peppers(red bell peppers (tatashe) , scotch bonnet (hot pepper) , onions & galic) , crayfish and added the greens, then meat of choice. Hope that helps? ![]() |
obiksam:Maybe it's just me but Something's not right with your story sha. I think you're denying that woman access to her kids hence her rage & uncouthness. You want to kill her? What is the repercussions of this ritual? What is hidden to onlookers is open to God. Leave her alone, Let her have access to her children . Let God judge everyone. |
Vivalavida99:I've said it before. after reading many books , seen different marriage trends and even attended the movt conferences . The only cohabitation arrangement that works in any relationship that will give each partner the right to freedom is open marriage. Not at all feminism has nothing to do with open marriages.Maybe not all but I very much believe most of them. Why do you think all these married Role models (chichi) have more followers/apologists than divorced & single ones? They (followers) finally see what to cling onto for once in their lives. It's a breakthrough for them. A breakthrough to keep a home and have the right to make decisions/choices without that obligation to consult anyone. Well even though they do not know how these Role models homes were ran, the portrait of a perfect family is a solice on its own. 'Why can't they pull that off ? ' IMO ; Feminism is the right to exercise freedom without barrier or being controlled('slavery'). Since it has been established from time immemorial ('Tradition' which the movt hate like a plaque) that men have more rights than women so the "What is good of goose is good for the gander' comes into play hence Feminism. Every other purpose the movt claimed to support have their own respective NGO bodies ( human rights/women rights/FGM etc).. It's all cover up. Tenk. |
All these epistles again. more grease to your power abi elbow ![]() Happy ![]() |
tatacherie:Which one sweetheart? Just quote it. We are literally rice eaters so I always prepare different kinds of Efo riros/stews ![]() Hmm I made Egusi soup/abi stew last night and forgot to snap the plated dish. This is what it looks like. I used Bok choy(too many stalks sha but I guess it okay) and ugwu dry leaves for greens. Pic #2.. Dessert ; Lemon pound cake, they finished a whole loaf within 20mins I didn't get to taste it.

Anyway Mr. Shevon with all due respect, please change your mindset. I'm assuming you're new to parenthood (if you're parent). There's nothing immoral about a dad caring for his daughter, Infact dads share closer bonds with daughters than moms. Please don't deprive that babygirl her father's unconditional love because of Society's perception of you. Yes some people are sick in the head to even think a dad will defile his daughter due to closeness. Says a lot about their childhood structure. Thank you and God bless. |

@Topic, that awkward moment you run into daddy's bedroom with only panties & bra on to steal a dash of his cologne (with the aim that he's still at work) , only to find him in bed reading punch and watching CNN news (he just shook his head) Daughters will forever be Daddy's princess/little girl. |
shevon:Do you even have kids, Not to talk of a daughter? This is not about minding business, your post is just creepy to start with. At first I thought you're being naive but now gotta ask if you even know what it feels like as a DADDY to have a daughter? We won't mind our business, that's exactly what is depreciating NIGERIA. |
SAMBARRY:I see edwife:Tell me about it, sacrifice you make for your kids. ![]() @sightseeing, you're right . you'll never know the beauty of your city/country till you're home bound and decide to explore . Then you'll know. Days still young here. Have a good night. ![]() |
