How do we know the truth when we're always made to believe that an institution is always greater than an individual?

When the armed forces kills, we'll be told that they're miscreants.

When an individual reports any government agency, we'll be informed that such individual is lying.

Well, everything is fair to God, as for men, we can only hope for something better!

A child doesn't cry for nothing!

So I have no conclusion on this matter!

Thank you
You're right on point my brother. We should also listen to the student's own side of the story before any conclusion. This is because mostly people tend to give a dog a bad name just to kill it.

Its quite unfortunate. Why should an individual want to destroy the life of 2 couples. Could it be jealousy, that the man is sexually stronger than the attacker, maybe cos each time they're having sex he drives his wife mad which the attacker could not do to host wife.

PMB is not creative and innovative. So Nigeria's economy will be stagnant because the last administration did not save money? In that case let us not be hoping of any meaningful change or developments. Buhari you're a total failure.

Politics › Re: Buhari’s Economic Reforms Are Bold – Obama by excel101(m): 4:18pm On Sep 21, 2016
NgeneUkwenu:
If Okonjo Iweala, a woman that had seen it all could come out to say at an American conference that the SEED OF THIS RECESSION WAS PLANTED DURING THE JONATHAN REGIME DUE TO OUR LACK OF FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE, INABILITY AND LACK OF POLITICAL WILL TO SAVE. Then Those Harshly Criticizing Buhari, Should In All Honesty, Do A Retrospective Search On Their Conscience...

Obasanjo's administration earned # 17trn from crude oil sales within eight years and left behind 45bn dollars external reserves and 3.348bn dollars external debt.

Yaradua grew the reserves to 64bn dollars
within just one year and the administration was able to finance 15 months of imports despite the 2008/2009 world economic meltdown. Hence, Nigeria survived the melt down because of the political will by the administration to save(a great achievement by Yaradua which most Nigerians are not aware of). Despite the tough economic reality at that time, Yaradua left 47.7bn dollars in reserves and an external debt of 3.94bn dollars. Meanwhile, the administration earned only # 9trn from crude oil sales within that short period.

Now, Jonathan administration witnessed an oil boom when Brent crude sold for over 100 dollars/barrel, with the regime earning # 51trn within a period of 5years. But because of corruption, the administration did not only squander the oil revenue but even depleted the reserves left by Yaradua, leaving just 32bn dollars and a huge external debt of 63bn dollars for Buhari. The same Brent crude sold for as low as 35 dollars/barrel at a point shortly after Buhari took over power and had only managed to climb to about 48 dollars just recently.

These are facts that can be verified. So, it's amazing hearing people criticize Buhari for the hunger in the land.

According to Fashola, Buhari's administration inherited 206 uncompleted road projects and contract arrears worth #2.1trn from Jonathan; and for about 2 to 3 years the contractors where not paid. This slowed down the economic activities, with most of the companies laying off their staff. This was when the seed of recession was sowed.

It's obvious that Buhari came in to rescue Nigeria, because if Jonathan had continued in power, the nation's economic crisis would have been worse, perhaps even the Federal government wouldn't have been able to pay salaries of civil servants by now.

According to Okonjo Iweala, Nigeria started borrowing money to pay salaries since October, 2014; but today Nigeria now borrow money for investment in capital projects.

Those who blame Buhari for the current hardship do so either out of mischief (hatred) or ignorance. So, we shouldn't join the bandwagon in criticising him. He may not have done much to save the situation, considering that he is not a perfect human being but he means well for the country and can only succeed with our prayers.

May Almighty God continue to guide Baba Buhari.

What exactly is the basis of the comparison? To me the comparison is baseless. Enyeama has been to 3 world cups, 5 AFCON winning one with almost 100 caps to his name, he has been a professional goal keeper outside our shores for about 10yrs now whereas the latter has no successful profile. If we go about comparing both, then we're like disrespecting Enyeama's contribution to the national team.

babacares:
Hello All,
I have to create this account for anonymous purpose because some of my colleagues are on NL. Here is my situation:

I just got a permanent job in Lagos with N4.8m/annum ( i had to relocate from where i was working before i resigned), i have been working in this environment for a little more than a month, i enjoy the environment, the people are friendly and willing to share knowledge and information, my 2 major issue with this office is their exit policy which got me scared and thinking of leaving before long.

I got another offer in another location where my family is based (iam married) for N6m/ per annum (net) through one of my former boss, he is putting pressure on me to accept the offer (he likes me alot while i was working with him), my issue with this job it, its a CONTRACT job (2 years and renewable) with a government parastatal, though he said they are most likely going to convert to permanent before the end of the 2 years.

Though i have not done contract job before, im kind of confused about it, and then the security of the job, etc. But the money/offer is tempting.
I just want your advise based on people with experience with contract jobs.

NOTE:
please dont mind my grammar
Thanks

Lala, mod please i need more comments
From my experience on contract jobs, i will advice you to ignore the contract job cos they promise renewal or being permanented after 2yrs. All these are big lies, rather organisations prefer recruiting permanent staffs nd after the expiration of ur contract u'll be laid off and start searching for another job. Don't be moved by their fantastic salary nd Its better u remain were u are. Your former boss is not the employer but an employee, he doesn't even know his own fate. Conclusively, I'll advice to pray about it.

Because they were armed with cutlasses which are considered dangerous weapons.

They should plead for clemency that's all they can ask for.
From a broader prospective, cos they were not caught with weapon might not mean that one have to assume that they dnt use weapons or they just started stealing. Its the more reason why they(the robbers) should be properly investigated. After which u can conclude if really they've not been robbing with guns.

Wow! Our police have really improved, imagine, they trailed and apprehended criminals that stole an "Highlander Jeep" from Plateau to Lagos State. The question now is what have the police done to those that have stolen our commonwealth, and are moving freely in this same country? Is it that they are only trained on how to capture small thieves than the ones that effortlessly stole billions?

Who are you leaving that trash of calculation for? I am sure when the government completes and commissions many others, his zombies will remind us how "Buhari is taking glory for another man's work". Such is how foolish the Jonathanians are that they don't see anything wrong in a man who couldn't complete a single project in over five years.

Jonathan is an example of WHO SHOULD NEVER BE A PRESIDENT!
They're making noise cos they want to commission a project which last administration started. If na una build almajiri schools nd rails nko? Naim be say we no go hear word again. Noise making leaders.
