@OP thank you very much for this insightful write up. Many people don't know the power behind number 3 that you succinctly pointed out.

The Bible says that "the power of life and death is in the tongue" therefore an unguarded statement can cause more harmful ripple effect than any other thing in life.

I remember the great effort of the late Dora Akunyili at remodeling and selling the Nigerian brand both home and away. She must be rolling in her grave to hear the president brand hard working Nigerians as "fantastically corrupt".

As a result of that even Kenyans and other African nations no no longer respect Nigerians because of the bad image that we have been portrayed by our own government.
PoliticsRe: Armed Herdsmen: Afenifere, Ohanaeze, ACF Disagree On Fayose’s Law by excelAGR42: 4:49pm On Aug 31, 2016
There's a lot of misconception about this law.
Some people think that the law out rightly ban cattle production in Ekiti. Some even think that the law will result in beef/meat scarcity in the state, others think that the law infringe on the right of movement and free trade

But that if not correct, as what is required is just more sensitisation and awareness creation about the benefits of this new law.

Instead of castigating Fayose let Nigerians support the implementation and enforcement of this law for the benefit of Ekiti people.

For me, one major benefit of this law is that it will compel animal (ruminant e.g cattle) farmers to abandone extensive system of production (e.g pastoralism or open grazing) with all its deadly devastating disadvantages and adopt intensive system of animal husbanry which is more productive and lucrative.

EducationRe: Study These Courses And Save Yourself From Unemployment In Nigeria by excelAGR42: 7:18am On Aug 28, 2016
For me the best courses to study in today's Nigeria settings are in the faculty of agriculture,
1. Crop Science.
2. Animal Science.
3. Fisheries/Aquaculture.
4. Soil Science.
5. Agricultural Economics.
6. Agricultural Extension Services.
7. Agricultural Engineering.
PoliticsRe: Why APC Candidate Godwin Obaseki Would Win The PDP Osagie Ize-iyamu EDO2016 by excelAGR42: 6:25am On Aug 27, 2016
Nobody has said Oshomole hasn't done something in Edo. In fact, his achievements in road construction is visible to all and sundry. And I thank him for that. But like in a relay race, when you do your beat you pass the baton to the next athlete.

Edo need all round development in all sectors not just roads alone. His second term victory was a land slide win in all the eighteen local government areas of the state, because he promised to do more for us and we believed him judging by his impressive first tenure performance in office.
But ever since ACN became APC Oshomole has lost touch with reality and became an emperor in Edo political space through his draconian, dictatorial and anti-people policies in the state. He conducted one of the worse local government elections in the history of this country where election results were declared in government house. He abandoned all the tertiary institutions in the state and focused on building a new university that we don't need at the moment. No single graduate job opportunity was created in eight years, but he empowered violent hoodlums, agbero, cultists and other criminals that call themselves CDA chairmen and their boys to the extent that some motor park touts are living like celebrities in Edo because of his (Oshomole) open patronage.

Now he is back with another unripe, unfit, and unprepared candidate that he wants to make governor by all means and at all cost regardless of his (Obaseki) incapacity. But, we are waiting for him with our PVC to tell him that we are fed up with the deception and deceit for eight years.

They said Obaseki was the head of Edo Economic Strategic Team, and I begin to wonder that does Edo look like a state with an economic management team? That is another lie from the pit of APC (hell).

APC is riddled with fake promises and disappointments. Where are the 800,000 jobs Oshomole promised during his second term campaigns?

What about the "GO AND DIE" episode?

please we don't need another season of fake promises that APC is now known for.

We need a man with a well articulated plan and vision, someone with political experience and exposure who will be independent in decision making, as well as someone with a better promise, not a boy boy.
That man is POI.
My vote and that of my house hold goes to him and him alone.
Say no to third term by proxy for Oshomole.
The future is brighter with POI.
PoliticsRe: I Didn't Hand Over A Collapsed Nation To Buhari - Dr. Goodluck Jonathan by excelAGR42: 5:38am On Aug 25, 2016
GoodofNaija:
Mr Man, (calling another person young man), people like you are faint hearted and are easily moved by your present circumstances. You only look at the short term, you don't look at the long term.

You should judge the govt by their policies and not by the current prices of goods. Your knowledge of economics is obviously weak.

The policies of this govt are anti corruption, diversification, reduction of importation in order to boost local capacity, massive investment in infrastructure etc. To any discerning mind, this is the way to go in this oil doom era.

Any foreign investor that is leaving Nigeria at this time certainly does not have a good foundation in the first place, but only thriving on a weak corrupt foundation.

Most banks that are sacking now are only consolidating because they no longer have access to illicit cash flows and oil dollars that characterized the former administration.

Don't worry, I know most of the things I have typed here are difficult for you to understand because you cannot see beyond the present circumstance.

However, I must let you know that the man you quoted have a better understanding of the situation than you.

He obviously thinks better than you.
I pity you. Obviously you don't have any family responsibility to take care of. Go and get married and leave you fathers house. Have you been to the market lately to buy food stuff? I guess no.
Now Nigerians in diaspora are even sceptical investing in the country talk less of foreigners.
To say the truth, this government is wicked and heartless as it has turned the fight against corruption into fight against hard working, patriotic Nigerians.

Instead of APC to solve problems they are compounding it.
Even the MDG/SDG achievements have been reversed completely to the extent that polio and other epidemic/endemic diseases are back, due to the negligence of this government.
Even the rate at which Nigerians are running travelling out of the country to other countries that Nigeria once surpassed is alarming, all because we now have square pegs in round holes.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Could Not Solve The Economic Problems His Regime Faced - Britannica by excelAGR42: 6:38am On Jan 03, 2015
As for me and ma household its Goodluck all d way, because of the dualization of the Benin Auchi road. This singular project has alleviated our nightmare. I remember the suffering and hardship we used to endure due to government negligence and I don't care attitude. But when GEJ government came in, he appointed a vibrant Hon. minister of works in person of Mike Onolememe who gave us a brand new double lane as well ongoing resurfacing of the old lane by RCC. Today from Eyaen (Uhunmwonde L.G.A) to Ramat park (Ikpoba okha L.G.A) that used to take several hours due to bad road and traffic gridlock is now a story for the gods.
Also GEJ govt has transformed the University of Benin through the immediate past VC in person of Prof. Oshodin and his team who utilized the increased funding from the federal govt to as much as possible bridge the infrastructural gap and decay by building brand new faculties, lecture theatre e.t.c, even my abandoned faculty of Agriculture was not left out.
Let me leave the transformation of Federal Polytechnic Auch for another day.
In the area of electricity GEJ has done well, by completing the Ihobvo power plant which when privatised and operational will guarantee steady uninterrupted power to the host communities in Uhunmwonde L.G.A
Our people say that "he that recognizes and appreciates good things will have more goodwill" from Good luck.
PoliticsRe: Fundraiser For Oshiomole's "Widow Victim." The Widow Must Not Die! by excelAGR42: 3:30pm On Dec 02, 2013
The widow must not be allowed to die. I live in benin city. Am in on this one.
I heard that the poor widow in question was not even a street trader, that she only came to mission road to buy goods for Christmas business, and was waiting there looking for a wheelbarrow pusher to convey the goods to the bus stop. That was why she could not run with her goods when the comrade gov. and his team approached.
Now what become of the seized items including food stuff, fruits, etc?
Are they shared among War Against Indiscipline officials or destroyed or donated to orphanages?
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Apologises For His Heartless Comments To A Widow by excelAGR42: 8:18pm On Nov 29, 2013
This is not surprising to me at all because this is exactly the same way his agbero in uniform boys operate. They go about confiscating peoples wares even when they do not engage in street trading. These seized goods and ware are often time shared among oshomole WAI official for their personal use and consumption. This man is simply heartless to the plight of the people just like his govt.
PoliticsRe: Before You Call Oshiomole Names, Consider This by excelAGR42: 11:15am On Nov 29, 2013
@op no amount of cosmetic remedy can undo this level of wickedness & hate. I don't think that woman is even happy hawking or trading in the street. What social welfare scheme has the comrade gov. Put in place since the inception of his two term administration to assist the poor and vulnerable people in Edo state?
Is it a crime to be poor in Edo state? Since he came into office how many industries has he been able to attract to Edo state that can provide employment to the poor people of Edo state?
This simply reminds me of a song by the greatest Afrobeat legend:

"If my eyes no deceive me...

& the things my ears dey hear...

I sorry sorry oooo,

I sorry for nigeria” - FELA KUTI
PoliticsRe: Go And Die - Oshiomole Tells A Widow! by excelAGR42: 8:56pm On Nov 28, 2013
Well this is not so surprising for some of us that live in benin city. Often time the comrade gov deliberately impoverish the already poor masses through his numerous draconian state policies. This is the trademark or hallmark of an alleged progressive. There's no sympathy toward the poor in these APC controlled states. The comrade gov unleashed hardship & terror on Edo people through state agencies such as W.A.I, oshomole police, etc. He slamed us with high tax regime as if we are in UK & meanwhile there's no pipe born water to show for it. My people shine ur eyes.

Though it looks like marijuana but, it may not necessarily be marijuana. It might just be one of those stuffs that some mallams (aboki) sell by the road side. Besides I don't think a police officer would smoke his marijuana publicly in an open place such as this.

Wow, this is remarkable and exciting because Nigeria will stop being the preferred destination for old smoky jalopy cars that pollute our environment daily. God I thank you ooooo because wit this policy life can never be the same again as the poor and middle class can at least save money to buy tear rubber cars. As against buying tokunbo cars that usually become a conduit pipe for draining d little money in our pocket due to incessant breakdown and repairs.
