Good morning great farmers in the house, as it is always said that processing your farm products before taking it to the market makes it worth more. I know this to be true for some farm products like maize and goat meat but for catfish I do not know.
Please I will like you to share your knowledge and experience in catfish business, which is more profitable to sale? Processed (smoked) or life fish?
Apart from the profitability which has the readily available market?
If I have 5000 smoked fish and 5000 life fish which will sale faster and on which will I make much profit.

you definitely make more money from smoked fish, for faster sales it depends on your market area or needs. A pepper soup infested community or locality will easily clear fresh faster than smoked fish. Fresh could sell faster in most cases, but smoked have better shelf live without having to spend more

one is more durable than the other, both need cleaning,especially tarpaulin,because of slime,concrete is more expensive to do etc.,about result,it depends on Who is doing the management.

I am not too sure this will work these days. Banks are becoming wary of court cases coming from 'extended families' and are more inclined to accept only written wills.

many dont write will & if You are next of kin with letter of administration,no bank can derive you & you can even take they to court for frivolous damages. That is why a lawyer is needed for speedy result,though it takes time.

I'm a lawyer so I will help you out with a few tips. Firstly ensure you are the next of kin. Get a report ie death certificate because you will be needing it to get letter of administration. You will need a lawyer for one, so get one. After you are granted probate, you can approach your bank by way of application or they can give you a form to fill annexed to it the death certificate of the deceased and grant of probate. Already their record shows you are the next of kin, some mode identification and certification will suffice in that regard. Goodluck. cc: Fergusen

Thank God,he/she should not fight,but plan on how to reproduce for future generation. And if for example the funds is 10 million, state collects 1 million. Hence at the end of the matter the collection will be still 10million,if he pays from personal pocket,except bank agrees that they will release the 10% for payment. Thank God. But if nothing tangible isn't in the account,it might not be worth all the effort & also remember that he/she will pay 10% of the funds before even having access to the letter of administration,also a token fee for publication will also be paid with whatever requirement by the state highcourt. Get the death certificate,visit the bank/banks, they might adhere you with balance,they could say no. Though when processing have started with highcourt, a stage will come when the court will give the recipient a letter to the bank to state the remaining balance(No bank can ignore such).In conclusion,make sure that after you have gotten your letter of administration & about to collect the funds,ask for statement of account for like six months,hence if any banker had done fraud,you have a case to win back what the parents worked for.

my brother,same thing applies to me. My dad has accounts with ECO,UBA and Union bank. Dont waste your time processing the money.corruption has eaten deep into Nigeria more than how we are seeing it. The banks will not be happy if anyone shows up to claim an account that the owner has died. even when you get to the court, they will still probe you especially in monetary terms e.g if you want it processed btw a month- 50k.... 6 months -25k.They will frustrate your life in the bank also. you will walk and walk under the hot sun. they can even ask you to go and dig your dad's grave and bring his thumbprint..... at the end of the day, you would be persuaded to leave the money to GOD. No ordinary Citizen can withdraw from such account. you have got to have some connections BRO.! And to make matters worse, i heard in the news last Month that the federal Government will soon start to gather All the money in Inactive accounts in all banks!

first,i dont know your location,but whatever location you are,you have to go to the high court, pay a fee for such intention. The workers might choose to guide or assist,but never free. It takes time,to file,time for the state to do publication in case of any conflict from other parties from maybe parents had/have other kids etc. The initial document that is mandatory is their death certificate. Lawyer might not bcompulsory,but using qualified ones that are knowledgable in the processing will help save time. Let him/her visit their state high court for more information.

Good write up, it is important to state that agriculture involves good capital, patience, practical learning before starting. the financial projection for part of your write up is not feasible, especially for starters, small and medium farmers.
