Scam Alert: New Method Of Emptying People's Bank Account, Be Warned - Victim's Experience

Even if you are my enemy, I wouldn't wish your hard earned money to be emptied by this hoodlums who call themselves scammers or g-boys or yahoo boys or whatever. A victim has revealed the new method that is now being used to swipe money from people’s bank accounts.

Though it still remains a mystery on how it was done, he is the 2nd victim that got his account emptied according to what he posted. If you have been a victim before, please comment on this post and share it so that people will be aware and not fall victim again.

Victims experience ......

1. Just a week ago, I boarded a bus at Obanikoro heading for Costain/Orile, highlighted at Ojuelegba, on getting past the traffic light, I became conscious of the fact that my phone was missing. I dialed my number and it kept ringing & ringing till it was switched off. I kept faith and was hoping for a possible reunion but that was the biggest mistake of my life.

Later in the day I dialed my number and it rang, I was glad thinking the fellow had removed my sim from my phone and inserted it into another phone just to get to me but after 3 trials without picking, switched off was all I heard(my android phone is passworded,so its either my phone was formatted or sim inserted into another phone that made the ringing possible after it was switched off prior to this time, I should have known). Then I became worried but still kept faith, stupidest mistake.

While in a bus heading home, I decided to use the phone of the passenger who was right next to me so as to tell my parents I’m phoneless cos they’d be worried for sure, only for me to be told he faced similar situation & had his account emptied using his number, then it dawned on me that they could have been transacting at the time my phone was ringing that evening.

I got home & ran to the nearest ATM machine, on seeing my balance my face dropped, they had emptied my account. Didn’t know when I bursted into tears, seeing yourself loose money you worked hard for to a total stranger is not what I will wish even an enemy. I wept at that ATM stand for almost 20mins till I was able to gather strength home, I thank God for taking me home cos I still don’t get how I crossed that Ikorodu Expressway seeing 2 oncoming heavily loaded tankers barefooted.

I’m not afraid of starting all over but I’m just scared someone else might not take it as light as I did.
So I’m using this medium to bring everyone to alertness. Be conscious of your phone!!! How they did the transaction I have no single idea and if you are using @gtbank you sure need to double up.

Probably if I’d read or was aware of such occurrences, would have just blocked my account & number immediately.

Nigerian politicians has not only made the life of its citizens miserable but they have turned and taken the citizens of this country to be fools. Nigerian police force can no longer confirm from its branch "Nigeria police services" before they declare one of their own wanted. What is then the faith of a common man.

I saw on Focus Nigeria the other day of how a former police officer is vigorously and voraciously defending the police and claiming that 95% of policemen are not corrupted and yet he next day, a Uyo City Polytechnic final year student was shot dead because he refused to give a bribe of N100 and yet police had the audacity to come out and say the guy was molesting the police officer.

No is the army and their antics, the police and Nnamdi Kanu. The Army and Police authorities have given two different accounts on the alleged invasion on Sunday night by the military of the Afara Ukwu, Umuahia North Local Council of Abia State country home of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Soldiers were reportedly said to have opened fire on supporters of the pro-Biafra group, which left one person injured.Another unconfirmed account claimed that three persons lost their life in the incident said to have occurred when Kanu was already asleep.

But the Nigerian Army said there was no iota of truth in the allegation. The 14 Brigade of the Nigeria Army dismissed the news as ‘fictitious” and warned the public to desist from spreading falsehood. It stated that suspected members of the group attempted to block troops on show of force around the Umuahia axis earlier in the evening.

A statement by Army Assistant Director, Public Relations, 14 Brigade, Major Oyegoke Gbadamosi, reads: “The attention of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, has been drawn to the fictitious news going round especially on the social media that troops have invaded the home of Nnamdi Kanu and killed three persons.

“This is far from the truth. Rather, it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC-Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State at about 6.00 to 6.30pm. They insisted that the military vehicles would not pass and started pelting the soldiers with stones and broken bottles to the point of injuring an innocent female passer-by and a soldier, Corporal Kolawole Mathew.”

It continued: “The troops fired warning shots in the air and the hoodlums dispersed. No life was lost.“Therefore the public is kindly enjoined to disregard the rumours going round and the fictitious photographs of purported victims of the attack. Both the soldier and the innocent female passer-by have been evacuated to the unit’s Medical Inspection Room and are receiving treatment.”

However, the Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, in a statement issued by command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Geoffery Ogbonna, described the incident as “a clash between the military who claimed they were test-driving their repaired armoured personnel carrier (APC) and members of the IPOB at Afara, the community where the group’s leader resides about 17:30 hours.”

According to the spokesman, “during the clash, a policeman was given a machete cut on his head and back while a soldier on the military APC, attached to FOB Umuahia, was injured in his left wrist and one Mrs. Grace Nwokeukwu of Umuobasi lsiama Afara, Umuahia also had a machete cut on the head.”

He added that “all the victims were taken to Police Clinic in Umuahia for treatment, while the situation has since been brought under control without any loss of life.”

NB: "They claimed they were test-driving their repaired armoured personnel carrier" and they have to test drive it along the road that led to Nnmadi Kanu's home. Arrent we very funny in this nation? What is the different between this issue and the government denying the soldierS that carried out massacre and killed Fela's mother and said "it was UNKNOWN SOLDIERS"?

Nollywood loses another young and talented comedian. Okwy Chukwujekwu, a Nollywood actor popularly known as ‘Main Bossman’ has been announced dead. The confirmation came from Odira Nwobu through an Instagram post.

Nwobu was his colleague in the industry who uploaded a video of Okwy Chukwujekwu, lifeless body.

His Instagram Caption is as follows:

“I do not know what to say and where to start. All i know is that this life is nothing I am scared and still confused I taught he was just acting for me but not on till BOSS enter ambulance motor going down to NNEWI.

Breaking News: Anthony Joshua To Defend His Heavyweight Title With Kubrat Pulev On 28th October

The match between Anthony Joshua and Pulev is now confirmed. The boxing heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua has confirmed that he will defend his heavyweight title with Kubrat Pulev at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on October 28, 2017.

The heavyweight champion's first fight since his epic Wembley Stadium battle with Wladimir Klitschko is a done deal for October. Joshua (19-0, 19 KOs), the reigning IBF and WBA heavyweight champion, will put his belts on the line against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev (25-1, 13 KOs) on October 28th at the 74,000+ capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

His opponent Pulev confirmed the news on his Facebook page, and Matchroom Boxing (which promotes Joshua) has already made the official announcement today being Tuesday 5th September, 2017.

Initially, Joshua was set to rematch Klitschko in November in Las Vegas, Nevada. When Wladimir announced his retirement, Joshua’s team turned its attention to Pulev, who’s the IBF’s mandatory challenger. Joshua was initially granted a one-time exception to pursue another fight with Klitschko, whom he defeated by 11th round TKO back in April.

Pulev’s only pro defeat was by KO to Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. He’s coming off a unanimous decision win over former title challenger Kevin Johnson, and also has notable victories over Dereck Chisora and Tony Thompson. He’s a consensus top-10 heavyweight and is quite skilled, but obviously doesn’t have much in the way of punching power.

Chelsea FC Include "Want Away Striker" Diego Costa In Their EPL Squad For 2017/2018 Season

It seems Chelsea FC is not going to give up on their "want away striker" Diego Costa as despite the tension and the players' refusal to come back to the club to train, Chelsea stlll inluded him in their Premier League squad for the 2017-18 season.

Costa was expected to leave the club after being deemed surplus to requirements, but the striker failed to secure a transfer to his preferred Atletico Madrid. Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte had revealed that he considered Costa to be out of his future plans since January, when intense speculation regarding his future first surfaced.

The Spain international made it clear he favoured a return to Atletico Madrid and has been holding out for such a move ever since and according to Goal.com, with no deal coming his way Chelsea have taken the decision to include Costa within their squad.

The 25-man squad lists had to be completed on Friday, with the Premier League confirming the selections on their official website.
