Nigeria Govt. Has Received Over 400,000 Messages From Whistleblowers – Lai Mohammed The Minister for Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Friday, said the Federal Government has received no fewer than 400,000 telephone messages from whistleblowers on looted funds. He said Federal Government’s optimism rests on Nigerians’ massive embrace of the policy. A web portal, http://whistle.finance.gov.ng, has been launched by the Whistleblower Unit (WBU), a multi-agency team, resident in Federal Ministry of Finance Headquarters, an “online portal through which information bordering on violation of financial regulations, mismanagement of public funds and assets, financial malpractice or fraud and theft that is deemed to be in the interest of the public can be disclosed.” The Minister advised more Nigerians to “take advantage of the Federal Government’s Whistleblower Policy even though it is clear that people’s interest is being sustained. Highlights: “As of 21st September this year, we had received a number of communication totaling 2940 and this includes enquiries, tips, compliments and general advice from the public. “We have received, through our Whistleblower website, 208 enquiries , and 1580 telephone calls. Government, he added, has recently received 35 classified tips and another set of 546 unclassified ones. “We have received 79 tips through telephone calls; 413, 213 through SMS and 145 through our websites. “Through e-mails, we received 109,” he said. “From all the tips received and reviewed, only 321 have been deemed to be actionable. These are tips that can be worked upon for further action,” he stated. Mohammed said on February that the policy had yielded $136,676,600.51 from an account in a commercial bank, where the money was kept under an apparently fake account name. This was followed by the recovery of N7 billion and $15 million from another person and 1 billion Naira from yet another. This is besides the $9.2 million in cash traced to a former Group Managing Director of the NNPC. In all, over $160million had been recovered in February. Later in June, the Federal Ministry of Finance said it had paid N375.8 million to 20 providers of information under the Whistleblower Policy. more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/10/nigeria-govt-has-received-over-400000.html cc lalasticlala mynd44 missyb3

TSTV Finally Launch Its Services In Nigeria - Transmission Commenced Immediately - Photos Yeeeelloooooo guys, TSTV is no longer a dream waiting to happen, it is now a reality and in fact a dream come true. This is the only pay tv that is poised to make some head roll in Nigeria. TSTV has finally launched in Nigeria. What a wonderful news on Nigeria 57th independence day. This pay-as-watch satellite tv owned by an indigene of Nigeria couldn't have come on a better time than this day that Nigeria got her independence. Is not coincidental guys because today, we as citizens has also gotten out independence from the South African MultiChoice that has monopolized our market here in Nigeria with exorbitant charges on their GoTv and DSTV services. You can now enjoy all the amazing channels you want with as little as N3000 only. Best of all, you can subscribe for N2000, N1000, N500 and even N200. It is indeed amazing and I thank God it came to past in my time in Nigeria. I personally has already given up. I love competition and whoever pray for monopolistic market again in Nigeria, holy-ghost fire............ More photos from TSTV launching today.. Mr. President's Independence day speech highlighted a number of the issues affecting Nigeria currently. Ranging from the agitation for Biafra to the current state of the fight against corruption. The President did not mix words when he said and I quote "I will not let Nigeria be dismembered. Below is the highlights of his speech... 1. "October 1st remains a special date for all Nigerians as this marks the day when we attained one of the most precious of human desires — freedom. "Over the years the country has gone through trials and tribulations, but October 1st is always a day for celebrations." 2. "We should remind ourselves of the recent journey from 1999 – 2015, when our country happily returned to democratic rule. "However, in spite of oil prices being an average of $100 per barrel and about 2.1m barrels a day, that great piece of luck was squandered and the country’s social and physical infrastructure neglected. We were left with no savings and huge infrastructure deficit." 3. "In the past two years, Nigeria has recorded appreciable gains in political freedom. A political party at the centre losing elections of state governor, national sssembly seat and even state assemblies to the opposition parties is new to Nigeria. "Added to these are complete freedom to associate, to hold and disseminate opinions. Such developments clearly attest to the country’s growing political development. But like all freedoms, this is open to abuse." 4. "Recent calls on re-structuring, quite proper in a legitimate debate, has let in highly irresponsible groups to call for dismemberment of the country. We can not and we will not allow such advocacy." 5. "As a young army officer, I took part from the beginning to the end in our tragic civil war costing about 2m lives, resulting in fearful destruction and untold suffering. Those who are agitating for a re-run were not born by 1967 and have no idea of the horrendous consequences of the civil conflict which we went through." 6. "I am very disappointed that responsible leaders of these communities do not warn their hot-headed youths what the country went through. Those who were there should tell those who were not there, the consequences of such folly." 7. "On security, Nigerians must be grateful to our gallant Armed Forces for rolling back the frontiers of Boko Haram’s terrorism, defeating them and reducing them to cowardly attacks on soft and vulnerable targets." 8. "Our Armed Forces in an effort to enhance the operational capability of troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have established mobile strike teams in the northeast. These will ensure the final push to wipe out the remnants of Boko Haram. "In addition, through targeted air strikes most of the leadership and identified logistics bases and routes of the insurgents have been neutralized. "The armed forces have established a naval presence in the Lake Chad Basin as part of the coordinated military efforts to curtail the movements or re-emergence of the sect in the area." 9. "Equally commendable are contributions of the governors of Ondo, Edo, Delta, Imo, Cross River, Benue, Ogun, Kaduna and Plateau states for their support for the presidential initiative for palm oil, rubber, cashew, cassava, potatoes and others crops." more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/10/12-highlight-points-from-president.html cc mynd44 lalasticlala missyb3

Laura Mesi, a 40-year-old fitness instructor, married herself earlier in September in a full ceremony with four bridesmaids, a three-layer cake, watermelon, 70 guests and a $12,000 wedding dress, BBC reports. "I firmly believe that each of us must first of all love ourselves," said Laura Mesi, a 40-year-old fitness trainer. "You can have a fairytale even without the prince." Though the ceremony carries no legal weight, but Ms Mesi is part of a growing trend for self-marriage - dubbed "sologamy" - in countries around the world. Proponents of such ceremonies say it is about self-love and acceptance, and claiming the social affirmation normally reserved for couples who wed. Laura says the idea of a solo wedding came to her two years ago, after a 12-year relationship ended. "I told friends and family that if I had not found my soul-mate by my 40th birthday I would marry myself," she told La Repubblica newspaper. "If one day I find a man with whom I can plan a future I'll be happy, but my happiness does not depend on him." Ms Mesi says she is the first Italian woman to hold a solo ceremony. In May, a man, Nello Ruggiero, said "yes" to himself in a ceremony in Naples. In Japan, a travel agency began offering bridal ceremonies for single women in 2014. Reports of people marrying themselves go as far back as 1993. It has spawned a number of books and been a theme of episodes of Sex and the City and Glee. In the US, a website called I Married Me offers self-wedding kits. In Canada, an agency called Marry Yourself Vancouver which has been running for more than a year attributes the rise in solo weddings to the growing numbers of single people. "Single is the new normal. Celebrate your solo status!" it urges. But not everyone welcomes the trend, with some calling it narcissistic, and others criticising it as a pointless submission to a patriarchal institution. Among the congratulatory comments left on Ms Mesi's wedding photos are others: "So sad", "you're out of your mind" and "there's something wrong with your brain". Last month, British self-wedder Sophie Tanner told BBC Three some people called her "a sad feminist". Ms Mesi has brushed off the catty comments, saying "nothing and no-one can turn off my smile". But in media interviews she acknowledges that solo weddings might not be for everyone. To marry yourself, she says, you need a certain amount of money, the support of those around you, and - above all - "a pinch of madness". more @ http://www.exlinklodge.com/2017/09/a-woman-marries-herself-after-failing.html cc mynd44 obinoscopy dominique lalasticlala
