This is an abomination! ![]() The men of Umuapu have brought shame to themselves and the ENTIRE Igbo race for not protecting their women. |
If they do this, Igbos will not stay in Lagos. Why fight in another man's land? And I hope my brethren are getting ready to move en masse to the East. We still will welcome you all even though we consider Igbos who live in those troublesome regions as fools and laugh at them. |
We are having more bombs in Nigeria than Afghanistan and Iraq now. Divide this nation now. |
If they do this, then it will be Armageddon for Nigeria. |
The yankees have a saying that the buck stops here. Well the naira stops at Fashola and ACN! ![]() |

Eze, shut up and acknowledge the input first. dayokanu:Violence in the North is not a new phenomenon. It has been happening for over 60 years. Even during the time of British colonialism, there were riots in the North. Blaming Goodluck for this recent spate of violence is simply wrong. How would you deal with Boko Haram who are a faceless enemy? Any person in the North can be either a Boko Haram member or a sympathizer. |
all this groups in 1 state |
I have stated this before in one of my other threads. |
And we support him! ![]() |
dayokanu:You are blinded by your religious bigotry. There is no comparison. |
lingolinga:Even without the Ikwerre, the hinterland Igbos along with the Igbo clans of Ogba, Ndoni, Egbama, Etche etc are the majority in Rivers state. |
agitator:When have Igbos ever claimed him? I never heard of an Igbo man with the name of either Asari or Dokubo. Clearly an Ijaw name. Rivers state is majority Igbo, but there are Ijaws and Ogoni who are present within the state. The next time you mention name, make sure you get your facts right. |
redsun:Ghana has a dominant Christian population and a history of non-Muslims dominating Muslims. This can be seen with the Asante Confederacy, which raided their Northern Muslim populations. The most feared group in Ghana were the Ashantis who were non-Muslims. In Ethiopia, their Muslim population was subjugated by the Christian Solomonid Dynasty that rule the country for centuries. |
I do not blame Jonathan, I blame Northern leaders who have held power for all these years, but have not educated their population. They are SOLELY to blame for the manifestation of Boko Haram. Their terror is starting to spread. |

ak47mann:I wonder why our people tend to live in such regions. Do they not value their lives? What is more important, making money or their lives? |
Should I have pity on my brothers? Yes. . . But do I have pity for them? No. . . They will be back if the Boko Haram crisis is settled. |
We support you Okorocha! ![]() |

Okorocha makes case for rural communities By Emma Mgbeahurike, Owerri 10/07/2011 00:44:00 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) coordinators have been advised to focus on rural communities where palliatives are most needed. Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, gave this advice when the national office of the MDGs led by its Director, Oluwole Edun, paid him a courtesy call, at the Government House, Owerri yesterday. Okorocha noted that government is incomplete until it impacts the grassroots, adding that the state government is embarking on massive development of its rural areas based on this realisation. He however bemoaned the decay of public facilities, especially primary schools and called for maintenance culture to sustain government projects. Edun disclosed that the MDGs is carrying out a pilot programme under the Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) in 113 councils nationwide. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/11942-okorocha-makes-case-for-rural-communities.html |
Can you clean up this thread moderators? Ileke-Idi seems to have made a mess of this thread with her tribalistic post. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-710539.0.html |
I figured you'd have gotten the point w/o extending this discussion for too long. The long and short of it is that I don't accept what you say about SS or SE matters as the final word. You just don't have the same credibility to me. I didn't mean to be blunt about it, and no real offense intended, but you don't seem to be getting what I'm trying to say here not-so-subtly.
This conversation should not have last this long about this issue if you are listening. To be frank, an akata like yourself has no business to question the credibility of any person who was born in Nigeria on this forum. As Beaf once said about you, you need to listen before you comment instead of thinking that by reading about Nigeria, that makes you an expert. Excuse me if my words are considered insulting, but sometimes the truth needs to be said. Let me give you some free advice, learn to listen. |
