Rossikk: All this will quieten down after two days.
Anyone who takes it further is simply signing their own death warrant.
The nation and its military will not stand for it.
President-elect Goodluck Jonathan has our mandate to crush all violent opposition to his rule with all the resources at his disposal. No it will not be over. Then they will plot to see how they can bring Nigeria to its knees. Remember all was quiet for a few months with Ironsi, but we seen what happened to him. Goodluck should surround himself with Igbos and Niger Delta people to protect him! |

The slap1: Not quite true, I knew the risk I took to reveal and possibly stop Osisikankwu from pursuing all of us out of Aba, on and offline . . . if you recall. That is very true my brother. You did a wonderful job telling us what is happening in Aba. How is Aba now my brother? |
Politics › Re: Violence In Kaduna By Buhari/CPC Supporters by EzeUche2(m): 5:33am On Apr 18, 2011 |
Ileke-IdI: Same thing y'all said about Jos. Try not to jinx yourself.
Internet warriors do not work offline. Igbos were not targeted in large numbers. There is a boiling point. Or have you forgotten the last major riot? Well, I guess you had already left Nigeria. But I remember there was tension in the East and my father would get information from Aba about how Igbos had turned on the Hausa. I remember quite vividly. Igbos in Onitsha, Aba and Owerri were looking for blood. |

slap1: True, but I've lived in Aba for over twenty years so I can spot them from a mile. . . The technique employed the last time was to tell them to make the sign of the cross and complete "In the name of the father, and of the son . . . " believe me, none of them could, they rather added ". . . and the mother . . ." But I hope this insanity is contained before the day runs out because, seriously, boys are not smiling. . . Well it is a shame that this has to happen if our brothers and sisters are targeted in the North. But this is the way of the world that we live in. An eye for an eye. There is no more turning the other cheek. My concern right now is for my kinsmen that reside in Jos. |
Politics › Re: Violence In Kaduna By Buhari/CPC Supporters by EzeUche2(m): 5:28am On Apr 18, 2011 |
There will be reprisals in the East like they were in the last riot if any Igbos are touched. Aba and Onitsha will be trouble areas. |
Politics › Re: Violence In Kaduna By Buhari/CPC Supporters by EzeUche2(m): 5:18am On Apr 18, 2011 |
slap1: But is this not stu.p.idi.ty? Destroying lives and properties in your area because your loser brother did not win the election? Why not come to Aba, Anambra or Imo, where he got less vote and try to kill a fly, since you guys voted for him? Well, the Hausas here in Aba had better start going home. . . But the problem is that the Hausa in Aba know how to blend in. They speak our language and know our customs. It would be very hard to find them. Some Hausa were even raised in Igboland. |

ekt_bear: I don't give a sh1t about Buhari, to be honest. . . he hasn't shown himself to be a serious candidate to me. All I want for him to do is to challenge the result to avoid setting a bad precedent.
But whether he challenges it or not, if in 2015 or 2019 my own boy is running and there is large scale election fraud like this, I will not accept it. You say it is rigging, but that may not be true. Either way, it is about time the North has a taste of what they have been giving the South all these years. I am happy the North is suffering from this. And you are complaining about this, while the SW should be uniting with the SE/SS against our common enemy. |

ekt_bear: *shrug*
Let us not act surprised when aboki goes rampaging, burning down churchs and murdering non-indigenes. At least we cannot pretend as if we don't know what the reason is, or that is is entirely unjustified.
And if you try the same game when it is my own boy running, there will be wahala. The North have been cheating the South for years so what's your concern? Do you fear the North so much, that the south cannot play the same game that they have played since Nigeria's inception? |

Didn't Obama get 90% of the black vote? It doesn't surprise me that Goodluck Jonathan would get such high support from Bayelsa. This is the first time the Ijaw had anyone running for president.
What is striking to me is how backward Ebonyi state is. What is wrong with the Igbos in the state? They are least educated and the most impoverished region in Igboland. |
