Please I'd like to confirm some things...
Wifey got offer from Westminster university and the advance tuition has been paid for, though UBA hasn't debited the account. Myself and our 1 year old baby will be going as dependants.
The challenge is, POF will mature this time next month and uow cas request deadline is 17th of December and I learnt they usually request for 28days POF before issuing CAS.
What do you guys suggest we do in this situation?

I also got an offer from UOW. I have paid my initial deposit. My POF will mature just about 2 days before the 17th deadline, so I'm hopeful I will meet up.

My suggestion is that, since you've already paid your deposit, just go ahead and submit even after the 17th.

On your offer letter, what was said is that if you submit later than 17th, there is no guarantee that CAS will be issued.

In order words, it may or may not be issued. So submit and hope it is issued.

But in case it is not issued, you can then defer it to September intake and patiently wait till that time.

When the University asks for a bank statement to issue CAS, the bank statement funds should have been held for how long?

It's usually 28 days for most schools, though some schools ask for longer periods like 2 months. Heard yesterday that Sunderland ask for 6 months.

For University of Westminster, you have send financial document showing that you have enough funds to pay the balance of your school fees and student upkeep. The fund will need to have been in your account for 28 days before they will review for CAS issuance.All this is after paying you deposit.

I have paid my deposit. I'm only counting down to the 28days of having sufficient money for the balance of my fees and upkeep. I just want to know from your experience how long it takes after submitting the financial statement for them to issue CAS

Biometrics on 5th November, walk in for 4 while the main applicant has an appointment.
Request for additional document(evidence of any further work history or study undertaken in the last 3 years) on November 10th and the document was sent on 11th November.
Application transferred to VAC on 18th November and passport picked up by applicant on 19th all approved and granted.
University of Westminster here I come ,January 2022 resumption.

Guys, don't be discouraged ,package your application with genuine documents. If you can fill online do it otherwise engage an agent to do for you but make sure you consult widely. Wishing everyone looking forward to their approval success.

How long did it take before you got your CAS after paying your deposit?

I've fulfilled this school's conditions for admission which included paying tuition part payment. since then, about a month ago now, they're yet to acknowledge receipt nor change status on my portal, talk more of issuing CAS. I used a link I got here to confirm my payment has been successfully received by the school.

The delay is frustrating cos I had to stop enrolment for a 6 month course and ignored admission from other unis for this Huddersfield �

Is it possible if one anticipates that such could be asked to send in in while applying in order to avoid the delay of them sending you a non-straightforward mail.

For instance, the reference letter I used for school application is for my work from 2010 to 2015.

So from your experience, I can reason that I might be asked to show evidence of my work history from 2015- 2021.

So that's why I'm asking if it's possible to send in a letter of reference covering that period during my visa application instead of waiting for a non-straightforward mail from them, which might cause delay.

Yes, there is a way. Go to there office and explain why you need an earlier date, and they will change it for you.

I did same yesterday at the Abuja center. I booked 21st December, but went with my offer letter to their office to explain why I need an earlier date.

I was then given 23rd November.

Please someone who knows should kindly answer....

Is it all school that require that you show proof of funds before issuing of CAS?

Finally got a date for TB test today at the Abuja center.

Key points from my experience today for those still struggling with this:

1) Booking can only be done online.

I wasn't allowed to enter the premises without proof that I had booked a date online.

I was only guided to do the booking right there at the gate with my phone by a security personnel who seemed to know much about the process and was putting many people through.

2) There seems to be a trick to the process.

After I had followed the directions given to me, I still wasn't able to get through with the process.

On my third attempt, the security personnel asked me to show him my passport number.

Where I was to input my passport number, he asked me to input 7 as the last digit, meanwhile my last digit is 8.

I questioned it but he told me it will be corrected when I come for the test.

Immediately I complied, boom, it went through. My reference number was generated with my booked date.

3) The earliest date available when I was trying to get a date was 21st December, which I went for.

After the booking, I complained that the date is not good for me given that I need to apply for my Visa soon since I'm resuming in January.

I was then asked to go inside and make a case for an earlier date, which I did.

With my offer later as a proof, and some explanation, I was then given 23rd November.

That was my experience today. I now have a date. Another hurdle crossed. We move.

Yes, they do accept WAEC. Got an offer from them with my WAEC result that is 16 years. I will be resuming by January.

The zeal was there. I was impressed with their level of energy. See the way they were going after the ball when they lose possession. They showed hunger. Nobody was forming big boy on the pitch like we use to see back in the days in Super Eagles.

But you see, having just zeal is not enough. Zeal without ability will never produce result, and that was what we saw today.

And when I say ability, I mean both from the players and the technical crew.

Look at some positives: a solid GK and a few good showing from some debutants.
