The leadership of the students’ body has reacted to recent reduction in the rate of mobilization among graduates by NYSC.
Read statement below:


The attention of the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, have been drawn to the recent directive from the NYSC to slash the number of graduands from every tertiary institutions to be mobilised for the scheme by over 70%. This they claim is as a result of lack of resources. The development has caused a lot of confusion in our students community across the nation.

The implication therefore is that after graduation one might have to stay at home for at least five years considering the accumulated backlogs before been mobilised for NYSC. Furthermore, it will also result to a situation whereby participation will be as a result of WHO NO MAN and how highly placed your father is in the society.



Make NANS President go carry beta seat sit down.........All these na empty threat....NYSC don tell you wetin dey won do bc of insufficient fund which has affected every sector of the economy....then you carry your own come say you won protest against am....nothing wey NANS go fit do for dis mata ooooo...so make dey beta go sit down...na just to delay the whole mata and afta much what will be will be.....Cue serra serra

NOTE!
The budget for this financial year/the NYSC has long been passed and was extended to may 2017. After which, there was short fall of about fifty thousand graduants that was not captured. This the service applied for funding to the president and was approved and funded through a presidential special intervention fund.


OUR STAND:
1. The National Association of Nigerian Students led by my able self Comrade Kadiri Aruna want to use this medium to state categorically that this is unacceptable and will be resisted by every peaceful legal means.


2. Let me also use this medium to ask the management of all tertiary institutions to pend mobilisation to NYSC pending when this issue is resolved.


3. The director general as a matter of urgency should retract that directive for it is against the growth and development of our teeming students and the Nigerian citizens.

I think if Presidency is aware of dis and they really want to solve d prob. All they need do is to release d fund, but who will tell Buhari NYSC is slashing when all is Special Advisers and media publicist are busy playing blame game. The money we are talking about is not upto 100billion naira oo for d whole year.

Plz oh fellow pcm, my skol RSUST is trying to frustrate we d pcm by bringing up issue of jamb admission letter as d only criteria used by NYSC for mobilization and dat if u dont have dis admission letter from jamb dat wen time for NYSC online reg comes, and dat if we try and register our names will either not be found or it will enter NYSC error list because we don't have d admission letter. The problem now is dat almost all d students dont have dis admission letrer cos we were nt aware of dis development from the on set . Plz!plz! dis tin is really bordering us(we the RSUST batch b pcm). In fact we were even told by our admission officer to forget anytin abt batch B or unless we can sponsor our self to jamb office in abj for rectification Nd dis we are nt sure of it will b feasible for us cos jamb mite nt attend to us as an individual or even if dey do how soonest can we get dis admission letter from them. Plz my question now is dat: does any fellow pcm from other higher institution have dis challenge we d RSUST pcm are having now? Or is the issue discussed above not true? And as well is this jamb admission letter same with original coloured jamb print out I used during clearance? Will it have any negative effect on us wen d time of reg starts or even at d camp? Plz i need answers and solutions oh!!!!!

I don't kno if dat z d last stage before d collection. All I can say now is,dey ask us(those dat came for clearance) to come back after submitting d vital documents. We can't really b sure wat dey r up to now, just to wait and see.

If u want to change it to the one u av on ur waec, it only cost u #300 by getting waec verification pin from first bank.. ....But u cud only achieve that if ur waec dob is below 30yrs for u to go for service.. ..
