nedu2000: According to how mutation and evolution works,a creature evolves in relation to its activities and environment. If a mermaid does exist & stays in d deepest parts of the sea,it won't look like a human!!with the pressure & temperature levels in those parts it simply won't survive

You can't just rule out the fact that it might have other adaptable features different from humans for survival in those ecological niche you just mentioned. If there's really fossil record that justified the fact that it existed or still existing, I don't see how that can be fabricated by a TRUE anthropologist like the one in that pic above. So the fact might just be RIGHT.
Education / Re: FUTO Senate Approves Updated 2012/2013 Academic Calendar by fabby26(m): 1:45pm On Dec 21, 2013
Man'O'War still dey operate for FUTO. I remember back then in Uniport when they were abolished in Uniport after strong protest from students which resulted in setting ablaze of their Commandants' hostel and Vehicle by aggrieved students following the brutal and gruesome murder of two innocent students just because of 1K. It wasn't easy back then 2010 in my 2nd year with gunshots & teargas flying in the air from mobile policemen to arresting of some students down to the fled of some man'o'war members from school for safety. Everywhere was tensed up then which was a week away to our semester exam. Then finally which led to shut down of academic activities in the school for weeks. It wasn't a pleasant experience but am happy to have survived it then. And since Man'o'War was scraped by school authorities following that aftermath, The school has known peace. Those guys are nothing different from their anti group(Cultists)
Education / Re: Reaction: When ASUU Calls Off Strike by fabby26(m): 12:00pm On Dec 14, 2013
Reaction ke? So you expect me to clap or jump for excitement for FG/ASUU for moving towards calling off a 5 months old strike that crippled the nations' educational sector and made me to nearly abandon all about school.

All my prayers now is for ASUU/FG allow me to graduate coming year, do something with my future, start planning on how to raise my own family and make enough money to give my future generation & children the best of education outside the shores of this God-damned country.

TRUE, but anything is still possible under this our planet called earth. There had been found to be millions of underwater and deep oceans creatures still unknown to mankind, even great Scientists and Anthropologists can attest to that, which far exceeds the land and air-borne creatures. Who would have known that dinosaurs family ever existed about millions of years ago if not evidence of fossil records. To this day, only about one-thirds of these( Strange Sea creatures) have been discovered and many still undiscovered and will remain a mystery. But in all the ALMIGHTY CREATOR, the ALL-KNOWING GOD is the MASTERPIECE behind all creations.
Education / Re: ASUU- FG Withdraws Ultimatum For Striking Lecturers by fabby26(m): 2:17pm On Dec 11, 2013
Do you think FG can just wake up one morning and sack all Lecturers, it's not that easy, if it's possible. If FG can sack all the academic Lecturers that implies she can as well has the power to dissolve, NLC, NUT, ASUU, NMA , NBA, TUC, NURTW, SUG, NANS. FG should wake up to reality and its responsibilities. CHIKINA!!

Health / Re: Help Needed On Treatment Of SINUSITIS by fabby26(m): 3:27pm On Dec 07, 2013
Though am not a Doctor, but some SINUSITIS tends to reoccur occasionally even with drugs treatment....Some have been known to be resistant to drugs. Most SINUSITIS can only be surgically removed. But you should consult a good ENT doctor for adequate diagnosis and treatment plan. That's the best step to follow.

Nomski0:

What are you saying

I know of doctors who have never smelled unemployment. undecided. From graduation straight to the hospital.

If you had an amazing result in medical school, you can never search for a job. undecided

Do you know the number of medical doctors churned out yearly from our different institutions of higher learning. Out of these numbers how many do you think will be absorbed in the few available government hospitals with inadequate medical facilities. Even the few thru man know man that will be absorbed by the Private hospitals will be paid peanuts as compensation because they have no choice. And talking on the issue of going into a consultancy programme above your MBBS. My sister is when you maybe come up for interview you will see numerous other doctors with further certificates even some acquired their own some few years back before you.

I am not trying to criticize Medicine as a course, but is no longer what it used to be.That's the situation in the country @ present.
For a course to be marketable, I think it should be able to readily absorb as much workforce as possible. You may never know the statistics of doctors with good qualifications still scouting for jobs.

Education / Re: A Good JAMB Result Should Be Valid For 3 Years – House Of Reps by fabby26(m): 8:47am On Dec 07, 2013
Anuoluwap: Educational news reaching us
today, is that the House Of
Representative, who were at a
meeting yesterday, discussed on
the number of times an average
Nigerian student SHOULD take
the Unified Tertiary matriculation
Examination, UTME before
gaining admission into Nigerian
Universities of Higher Learning.
According to a correspondent
who was present in the meeting,
members of the House of Reps,
With the law in sight, said that if
a Student sits for the UTME and
makes a good results, the result
should be Valid for a 3 year
period, rather than the normal 1
year. Members of the House of
rep also discussed that during
this time, the student can still use
to pursue admission into
Nigerian Higher Institutions,
without the need to register or
re-take the examination.
This is great! although it would
be a great loss to jamb, this will
surely help MILLIONS of
Nigerians, the sad news here is
that the law haven’t been
agreed/passed yet.

Education / Re: All ASUU Strike News::1st July-16th December 2013 by fabby26(m): 6:31am On Dec 06, 2013
Daniyemi: Lecturers of the University of Benin
(UNIBEN ) on Tuesday complied with
the Federal Government's directive to
resume work.
Some of the lecturers had reportedly
signed the resumption register
stationed at the Deans’ Offices at the
various faculties on the university
campus in Benin.
Efforts to speak with the executives of
the UNIBEN chapter of ASUU proved
abortive, as members of the union
were holding a meeting as at the time
of filing this report.
However, a lecturer in the university,
who preferred anonymity said the
strike was mismanaged by the national
ASUU leadership.
"We are not against ASUU or what it
is fighting for, but we are against the
methodology as well as the adamant
and childish approach of the
leadership at this point in time.
“Agreement can be written or oral,
and President Goodluck Jonathan has
assured us that the agreement with
ASUU would be implemented.
“I think the sensible thing to do is to
await the president's directive to
implement it; and if he does not do
it, we then call up another strike.
“Many of us are disappointed with the
union leadership's attempt to distort
what has been agreed upon by all
members across the country.
“We believe in the Federal
Government, we believe in what the
highest authority in the country has
said and we have decided to resume
work.

Abeg make Una no try call up another strike next yr o, not now am entering my final year. Make una no try delay my finals o. If una cucuma start no going back o whether the FG implement the agreement or not. Otherwise make una fight am out to the end o.

berem: I just imagine at that age a particular time in school with his classmates in nursery school. His teacher asked him what he wants to be when he grows up. With so much confidence,he tells his teacher "TEACHER,I WANT TO BE A GOVERNOR". His dreams later became a reality. Who says dreams don't come true? cheesy cheesy

And some of his Classmates must have laughed at Him at that answer. And his teacher might have said "Ah Fash with this your akpako head you wan take become governor in the future". The world can have a different turn and don't judge a book by it cover yet.

Education / Re: Should The Nigerin Youths Desist From Going To Polytechnic? by fabby26(m): 8:27pm On Nov 17, 2013
ticker: Most of the so called polytechnic graduates are even better when it comes to handling responsibilities at work. They are more skilled. The polytechnic education is thorough nd involves a lot of practicals unlike the universities education where a computer student will graduate without even touching a computer. So should the nigerian youths desist from going to polytechnic? Since they are likely to be treated as inferior candidates in the labour market.

Not all Polytechnics have the said necessary facilities to be well grounded in Practicals as you said, there's as much as many Poly graduates as uni graduates that are not technically grounded. It all depends on how equipped technically the Poly is. Permit me to say that some Polys are just glorified Secondary Schools.

So what are you telling me now? If he had known he culdnt effect 'plan B', then there was no point mentioning it to the public in the 1st place. He's the president and whatever he decides, so stands, but un4tunatly, he's a dull president. Capable hands are out there including myself who can simply effect things properly including d said 'plan B' if need arises.

You may be right, but he is not alone in implementing that plan B, this is a democratic govt. For the fact he is the GCFR and the President doesn't mean he should just wake up one morning and do what he wants. His decision has to be passed through the Senate and Nat. Assembly, analysed, voted for or against before being executed. This is the due process in a democratic settings. Unless if we're in times of military era. If not what makes you think GEJ doesn't want to fully implement the said agreement and end this crisis for long, but the fact is that it's been barricaded by Senate, the executive arm of government. The problem slowing the wheel of government proposals and progress is that of too much federal bodies/decision-makers between the Govt and the Masses of which some are supposed to be scraped. I don't know why there should be Senate and National Assembly almost carrying out the same duty. One is suppose to stay and the other scraped. And majority of these unnecessary numerous federal bodies add to the expense of FG.
