Websurfers: Hello Friend, I hope you're doing good. You have to be specific, for Sience related courses it is called BASIC PROGRAMME. For Art-related courses, it is called CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME. So it depends on the one you applied for. Note the correction Also your choice of words in your subject heading is quite contradicting. Do you mean Post-Utme past question papers or the remedial program (mentioned above) past question papers? They're two different things altogether. But I guess you are talking of the latter (remedial program) |
Obeni precious: mehn I'm in love with this write up atleast it has given me confidence a little bit. I'm a newly admitted chemical engineering student in Uniben and so many peeps are saying that it's not a good course to study in Uniben.Bro, I will say it again and again. Chemical Engineering is the very best as far as I'm concerned. Chemical Engineering, Uniport |
Salzyswaag: Though chem eng is an emerging career,it versatility will increase in few years 2 come(especially in nigeria where dere are just few manufacturing industries) in addition 2 its wide range of application.think of it as chemistry and engineering(mechanical n electronics inclusive). You are on point bro, the highest paid Engineers are Chemical Engineers all over the world according to U.S Engineers' Salary Survey carried out recently. Reasons 1.it is the most emerging field with new innovations coming up daily. 2. It is the most dynamic and versatile field of technology encapsulating Metabolic engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Biochemical Engineering, Genetic Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Processing Engineering, Agro-allied technology, Biomanufacturing........the list is endless. 3. Any Process that involves changes from raw materials into finished goods to storage down to the end user involve a Chemical Engineer. 4. It has more job prospects as new frontiers are emerging everyday in the near future. Please don't get me wrong. Every aspect of Engineering is very good, but for more job prospects, I go for Chemical Engineering, though, due to the fact Nigeria is not an industrialized nation....so that role of Chemical Engineering is lacking, unlike industrialised nations. If not so, no matter the amount of Chemical Engineers, the manufacturing market will always absorb as much as many Chemical Engineers. But the good part of it is that you can just start up your own industry with little or no capital no matter how small. I rep Chemical Engineering all the way Motto: The Voice of Technology! |
It's that simple, someone who studies Estate Management literally become "Manager of an estate". ![]() |
I have come to realise that in a matter of time, if this strike lingers further, most universities will start pulling off from this formidable body called ASUU. And that's exactly what FG is waiting and buying time for. Some so called State Universities will start first gradually getting to some federal universities, those that are fed up with the recalcitrant nature of Government, and before you know it ASUU as a body will disintegrate and that's where the FG wins.ASUU may think they are united and formidable, it may take time, but it just a matter of time This tactics has been employed in ancient warfares whereby the formidable and dominant group deny the vulnerable ones of food, shelter, until they have nothing else to live for but just to break up and surrender and accept defeat..... And that's exactly the tactics the FG is employing. |
Wonders shall never end! Imagine these people are said to have passed through higher institution, did project defence, seminar defence, passed all their semester exams for four or five years. And you tell me they can't read or write.....then something is wrong somewhere.....i think the lectures that taught these students down to the HOD are the real ILLITERATES, not the students. ESUT......this is a BIG SHAME! |
And I begin to wonder "if Uniilorin is a federal University or not. If it's, then why are they not on strike? After the whole struggle, will they still benefit, should FG honour all agreement with ASUU. ![]() |
Apreel: FG hv bin begging ASUU 2 call off d strike but wat ASUU cud say is "begging cannot end strike"dats rude in my own opinion.....its really frustrating.let's give Fg some credits,@least dey re showing concernGive FG credit? For what course.....Look as far as I am concern FG has not showed any commitment for these past four years since the agreement was signed....nothing has been done . If FG has shown some commitment over the years in fulfiling the said amount of 1.5trillion spread it out for these four years. I don't think ASUU will have any course to embark on strike...Now ASUU wants the money in lump and at once, and all FG could say to us is that ASUU demand is unrealisable. At least FGN should've shown some sense of committment....In that strike action pays nobody, we shouldn't be blinded from the fact |
stevebent: thanks bro. i wonder if it's possible to do masters in petroleum engineering after a degree in electrical engineeringYes you can |
[quote author=stevebent]thanks bro. i wonder if it's possible to do masters in petroleum engineering after a degree in electrical engineering[/quote Yes you can |
Bros please are you a learner? Don't you know that people are fed up with ASUU/FG news or related link. You should be smarter than this to sell your link..i am highly disappointed in you. Maybe you should try again and change the topic because na bad market....just an advice.... ![]() |
babane442: Sori for wasting your time to view this post do u think this possible. i hav no hope in this country.Op, ............sorry if I may ask or use the word "Have you gone bananas? Or should we look for the nearest REHAB? This ASUU strike is affecting student psychologically....a lot of students have gone gagas o. Just this morning, a 200 level student in my yard started shouting that ASUU HAS CALLED OFF STRIKE on top his voice and disturbing the peace of neighbours. So I approached him to ask where he got the news, not knowing the guy has gone nuts....thr guy just told me to give him shoe polish immediately, that he has already packed his bags remaining to clean his shoes.....Abeg ASUU/FG make una better resolve this crisis quickly to avoid more victims |
Hayormeah: Dis strike of a tin is gettin more frustratin by d day.....am tired of hearin stories n seein silly jokes abt ASUU! All i nid to hear is d strike is off.Hellooo......you will see more of silly jokes abt ASUU until they call off the strike o. What do we do, if we can't change them, at least we make silly jokes about them, though it may not change anything but at least to bring frustration within us down. ASUU is a CLOWN on its own. NEXT ![]() |

Electrical Engineering is the best, though a bit tough followed by Chemical, though broad, Petroleum Engineering, though narrowed down to only Petroleum line, which makes job prospects for it more narrow than other two. You can work in any manufacturing or producing company ranging from oil, chemicals, food, fertilizers, and the list goes on, that works with processes and instrumentation with electrical or Chemical Engineering qualification both in downstream and upstream section, but for Petroleum Engineering mainly on Upstream section of Petroleum production, which makes it much narrower. And you can still do your masters in Petroleum Engineering, notwithstanding the Engineering course you studied in your first degree, while opposite is the case of Petroleum Engineering. Well, if your heart still goes for Petroleum Engineering, go with your heart. But let me just break it down in order of preference in oil industry Mechanical>Electrical>Chemical>Petroleum |
Permit me to say, "these people (lecturers) are tired of going back to classes to teach". Simple! |
kaka22: The Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku has charged striking lecturers of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to quit playing politics and go back to the classroom.Go back to classroom with such a command tone as if they are his subjects. Talking to intellectuals that senior him in that manner is being rude, not for the fact he's a minister with jumbo pay package, that should not make him to talk down on them like that in such manner. Not that am in support of ASUU for taking it this far |
Op, but a bottle of beer or some shots of shekpe enhances my cramming, and you say no alcohol. Remember another man's poision is another man's meat......chinchohuuuuuuuuuu.......laughing in Chinese.......I hate cramming work. ![]() |
If only you have a scanned backup soft copy of your original WAEC Certificate in your e-mail box. It would have been more helpful to you. That's the more reason to backup all your documents in a soft form, because in the eventuality, you lose any of the hardcopy, you can make do with the softcopy or serves as substantial evidence of possession of such document. But just do as the previous writer suggested. SECONDED |
Don't you think that sequel to the scandal in misappropriation of fund by the Aviation ministry for the purchase of N255M worth of bullet-proof vehicle will make Academic staff in industrial action more adamant to accept FGN offer. And after they say there's no money in the Nations' treasury, if a minister can spend such to procure a vehicle in a temporary office position, then you begin to imagine how much is in her coffers. This always sends cold shivers down my spine. ASUU Strike still have a long way to go because the ministry has just inflicted another wound in already healing wound....Did I just say healing? |
Empty threats everywhere......Take action if you want a change and save yourself much of talks |
And you're still there asking question...o boy you better wear off your footwear and run as fast as your leg can carry you out of that place unless say you wan enter 1 chance be that |
Yawning with my mouth open wide.........abeg......still yawning..... una see who fit borrow me spoon make i sip my pap and akara.......yawning......i never take my breakfast o..... |
peter1994: .ya, but if you are going for mechanical u have to be prepared 4 the battle (which might nt be an easy one)Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering have something in common Mechanical is just like the hardware and Chemical its software, putting in those terms. But I rep Chemical, though it's quite diverse. Because any process that have to deal with conversion of raw material into finished good, involves a Chemical Engineer in that you have to know the changes within the process down to the mechanical aspect. |
otokx: no problemPlease is it TRUE that the Strike has been called off? Heard many rumours on that today |
jauntee02: the only effective protest i think will work is for all students toFor your mind |
Yes, it might be true that Ghanaians speak better English than Nigerians, but has it made them more better than Nigerians in all aspect? |
That is ehh....... Una go do rag day tire be that. Una neva start sef......Well wish all gwagwaladites successful rag days ahead |
I am happy you use the word "might". Please don't be deceived by the handshaking as seen in the picture between VP and ASUU Presido, as concensus they always do that at the end of every negotiations. Normal official courtesy calls for that. Anyway, let's be optimistic as we keep our fingers crossed and wait for favourable outcome. But FGN too they wash wash. Seeing is believing, if you like you can call me doubting Thomas. |
