Kenthumphz: Ok. Lectures are just normal. The only challis adapting to the new syllabus. I studied Economics In Nigeria and coming here, was expecting it to be a walk over. Well, I struggled for the first few months. I'd have to run back home or head to library after each class to go through what was taught cos I wasn't making head nor tail out of it. I practically left this group to catch a breath especially as it was seeming as though 24hrs wasn't enough for me. Today, it's a lot better than it was in October last year. Am not get there but I thank God for progress. What helped was that I'd set my priorities right. The little advise I can give to y'all is read up on what you coming here to study. If possible, get materials of your course if you lucky enough to get in touch with someone over here in your department and be always one step ahead. As for hustle, I bone hustle o esp as I wasn't having joy initially. Since we have settled that one, hustle mode is on now. Some decide to not work till second semester, some work from the start, whatever works for you man.
That will be all for now. I hope that's good enough.
All the best bro Thanks for this headup bro, it satisfy my curiosity to some extent. which state and city are you? |

If u wish to apply for winter admission stay glued to daad.de to monitor admission process. I only stated what I know and sure of, and it's actually good that you've corrected the notion. can you help with schools that will be starting winter Application by January? |

Chriswazo: He said you can use it for any state or city in DE
ps; a recent SL i saw states it is valid for 5 years. I understand that part quite well bro. What I'm trying to clarify is the part he stated that some Bavaria city has attaching conditions like evidence that your sponsor is sending money to you. I want to ask if he has knowledge of Saarbruecken and how SL works there I'm trying to get as much information I can get so I can clarify and have my target set before 2019 hope you get the gist? #Peace |

pompido: SL does not carry the name of the school. It only carries the indication "Studium" meaning for study purposes.
So you can use your SL in any city you decide to go to, even after you have landed and registered with it at one city, you can transfer and use it in another city (so long as that city does not have attaching conditions live evidence the sponsor sends you money like some cities in Bavaria) Thanks for your time pompido, more blessing. Quick one, can I use SL in Saarbrueken without any issue as you stated above for some Bavaria cities? Any tips or advice on student life (studies and side hustle) in saarbruecken? I'll appreciate you input to the above concerns Danke Bruder |

Neyeko: You said it yourself, they 'claim' that it's complicated. They misinform people and charge theses high prices while they don't do that much. When I say it's ridiculous, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I know it happens all over the country. I'm saying it's not right, the price they charge should be proportional to the work they do. Now if that 300k included German classes, I wouldn't complain. If the price was 100k, I might be able to believe they can justify it.
Just because something is happening everywhere, doesn't mean it's right. That's one thing I wish we could all fight against as a country. You points are well understood, however, after criticizing the Agent, the client needs to be blamed too. For me, she brought this upon herself, I agree she might be busy hustling for money and all that, but that's not an excuse not to at least Google "how to study in Germany" and read, at least once in a while. For God sake, the admission is not even a guarantee that you'll be given visa or does she think the Agent will follow her to Interview? Hell NO! That 300k is a lot but I can't blame the Agent much because it is a deal that has been agreed from onset. so I'll advise she pay up and learn from her mistake. There is a saying that "when you need something done real bad then you've got to do it yourself "(don't know if I'm correct) |

Dankeschon: I thank God for everything.
A lil advice for all who'll be heading to Deutschland in future: Pls and don't come here on weekends, or better still don't leave Nigeria towards weekend (like Thursday or Friday); I really hear pepper.
I left our dear country on Thursday, missed my flight on transit, and had to spend an entire day at Turkish Airport (btw Turkish Airport is the most bubbling of all international airports I have been to). All my funds were in my luggage, as well as my cards, so I was stranded, so I couldn't buy a new ticket, couldn't buy food, couldn't pay for Airport hotel, and couldn't go into town either. Thank God my phone was charged and credit loaded, so I called home (calls rates from here are crazy high), they bought a new ticket, which would leave the next day evening, but I was still stranded in terms of food and shelter. Thank God for a Nigerian woman I met at the Airport, she lived in Europe, was stranded too, but had no means of communications, she heard me blurting my local vanacular on Phone and pleaded to use my phone, which I gave her. We spent the next 24hrs in that Airport, she bought my meals twice, that's how I survived those 24hrs. Turkish Airport is alive 24hrs, it's like The Palms and Leisure Mall in one place, food and drinks everywhere; this 'livelyness' really helped me, there was never a dull moment.
I finally arrived here Friday night, slept at the closest hotel to the airport; I thought I could get into town, but when I got out of the airport doors, the freezing cold didn't even let me think correct. I was just shouting "Hotel, Hotel, Hotel" to all the Taxi men there. One of them finally pointed a hotel to me, and I ran like a mad man into the hotel. I left for my town the next day hoping to settle into my accomodation. Lo and behold, my people, Saturday and Sunday here is like National Election day in Naija, you won't even see anyone outside, not to talk of paying for accomodation. The only places open are Train stations, Malls, and Petrol stations.
So I "jejely" lodged into another hotel, this time for two nights, till Monday, (the cold here alone wont allow u spend a minute outside). Thank God I came with my Dollar card, it has been so so helpful. My account officer also told me our Naira cards also works abroad, but I've not tried it yet, I don't want any embarrassment, and someone will start looking me one-kind-eye. Germany is a cash society, so I advise you come here with cash; I came with cash also, but only use it when they insist it must be cash. All my train Tickets were bought with my Card; my cash(€) is very "sacred", it rarely comes out.
Pls also try learn a lil Deutsch, cos if your case was like mine, hmmmmm. I missed my stop in between train stops, but thank God, I had Deutsch upto B1, so I could ask for simple directions.
My advice(s) in summary; 1.Leave on a Sunday,Monday, or Tuesday (at worse Wednesday), except u have your accomodation already sorted out and settled. 2.Load your Nigerian line, as much as you can; this saved my 'life'. 3.Pls hold some Euros, no matter how small, you can never tell (me myself, I never believed that all the things that have happened to me these past four days could ever happen to me) 4.Just a lil Deutsch, even if it is "Guten Tag", or "Hallo".
So lemme now ask my question: Pls and pls to those who have unblocked their Fintiba Account, how long does this take?? I opened an N26-Black Account(it comes with a monthly charge) back in Nigeria, and they've even sent my card, but I wasn't around to pick it, so it was returned. What else do I need to unblock my account? And how long exactly will it take? What a bitter-sweet experience, Thank God you're fine now which uni and state are you? |

Dankeschon: Let's say 6 or 7days; in responding to the AM, I indicated that I'll like to personally pick-up my Visa at the Consulate, buh they didn't reply me, after two days I did a reminder, and yet no response, after four days, I did another reminder, telling them it's quite urgent (since school resumed since 1st week of Oct.), yet no response, I waited and waited all day refreshing my mail every hour, yet I saw no response from them, and this was driving me nuts, cos I really needed to resume asap. Well, I got home that evening, and my sis told me she signed off a DHL package for me and kept it on my bed, and I just knew it had to be it. As I went to my room to see the package, I was praying it's not a rejection. I opened the parcel, lo and behold all my original documents, along with my Passport: "VISUM". Congrat bro |

Chriswazo: Ur unblocking time depends on some variable factors of your city. You can unblock within 3 days of arrival o. 1k Euros should be enough pending ur unblocking. Even this 1k na about 420k o, this money no small o. Hope you are making plans for it o cos is more important, funding ur BA is 70% success o Like I have said, it depends on how prudent you're with your spending and the bill you need to sort out on the spot e.g accommodation and enrollment, but if you have sorted the mentioned before going you'll be more than fine with 500 as heybabe12 has said. Baba been hustling hard o. May God make it for us all What are you going Msc or Bsc? |
