Jarus:
Player for player, Senegal easily trumps Nigeria.

We don't have any player as big as Khalidou Koulibaly and Sadio Mane. Inter's Keita Balde is also highly rated.

See the clubs their players play and compare with ours.

SENEGAL SQUAD
Goalkeepers: Abdoulaye Diallo (Rennes, France), Alfred Gomis (Spal, Italy), Edouard Mendy (Reims, France)

Defenders: Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli, Italy), Moussa Wague (FC Barcelona, Spain), Pape Abdou Cisse (Olympiacos, Greece), Salif Sane (Schalke,Germany), Youssouf Sabaly (Bordeaux,France), Lamine Gassama (Goztepe, Turkey), Saliou Ciss (Valenciennes, France), Cheikhou Kouyate (Crystal Palace, England)

Midfielders: Alfred Ndiaye (Malaga, Spain), Santy Ngom (Nancy, France), Idrissa Gana Gueye (Everton, England), Keprin Diatta (Club Brugge, Belgium), Pape Alioune Ndiaye (Galatasaray, Turkey), Sidy Sarr (Lorient, France), Henri Saivet (Bursaspor, Turkey)

Forwards: Ismaila Sarr (Rennes, France), Keita Balde (Inter Milan, Italy), Mbye Niang (Rennes, France), Moussa Konate (Amiens, France), Mbaye Diagne (Galatasaray, Turkey), Sada Thioub (Nimes, France), Sadio Mane (Liverpool, England)

As for Morocco, I hope you know that 2 key members of the Ajax team are from Morocco. They also have players in Borrusia Dortmund, etc
Average midfield and attack. Nothing spectacular here!
Ivory coast is the real deal in terms of squad.
But in terms of big game temperament on the African continent; Nigeria, Cameroon and Egypt even Ghana.
Senegal and Morrocco, even if all their players are playing in Liverpool that cannot win this year's Nations Cup.

Which player Senegal get? I don't rate Morrocco and Senegal.
Watch out for Nigeria, Ivory coast, Cameroon and Egypt.

I hope Iheanacho will find a team that will play him as a 10 or 8.
He is never a striker. He has a Seedorf-like stature.
He can never be a good 9.

Very glaring, dts y its more difficult to drop shehu

It will b calamitous taking only aina as our Full RB option to d nations cup with dis his lackadaisical style

He's d reason y shehu is still in d team..as poor as shehu is,my mind is still at peace when shehu is playing at d right back against an African opposition dan aina,dt aina awareness on d pitch is too poor

D day we get to c a good RB option and a rejuvenated Ebuehi, automatically it will b bye bye for shehu, even aina if care is not taken...my opinion cool
You are absolutely right! Boss

Current form always exceeds past form when there is obvious proven improvement.

Aina has improved this season although l didn't think he got many chances to prove himself. By just club form alone Aina is justified you can not select a player based on past glories. It has to be present continous.
He lacks the awareness of a right back. He often seems lackadaisical in his marking and tracking his opponent.
It was glaring to eyes yesterday.

Who should replace him?
You are not getting my point.

Shehu would have been dropped instead of Semilore Ajayi if Aina had covered himself in glory in the right back position.
Rohr had to test Awaziem in the same position because of Aina's not to impressive performance.
Had it been Rohr can trust Aina, believe me you Shehu would have been dropped.

Nigerians and mediocrity be like 5 and 6
Rohr for comot am but na cos him drop am comot for world cup na in make Rohr pity am.
He is not yet convincing in my opinion.
His mediocre performances is why Shehu is still in the team.

Aina was awful yesternight!
He doesn't deserve to make that team!

Awaziem was spectacular when he came on.

everybody is shouting Balogun, when we should be asking about Shehu that has failed to distinguish himself in the RB role

Shehu and Iheanacho should be left behind, Iheanacho especially, to prove that you can't just laze around an entire season, then jump inside the Super Eagles. We aren't a confidence-building team.
Iheanacho is definitely not going to AFCON!
Balogun cannot be drop.
The last game against Egypt, he was the Motm even though he did not play for months!
Balogun will play in the back 3 alongside Ekong and Omeruo.

Ajayi makes up for our lean midfield, Shehu is Rohr's 1st or 2nd choice RB

The only person surplus to requirements is Awaziem

There you have it guys.
Rohr will definitely drop Iheanacho (Confirmed) and a defender.
From the look of things, it's either Semilore Ajayi/Shehu to be dropped!
Also expect an attacking 3-5-2 formation. With Kalu and Simon on both wings. Omeruo, Ekong/Awaziem, Balogun/Ogu at the back.
A midfield of Mikel, Ndidi and Iwobi will withstand any midfield on the African continent!

I didn't watch the game because the Hospital's management made it as a policy not to switch to football games due to their hypertensive patients. I never knew until 5 minutes before the game when I requested for super sport grin.

Now you are talking. Regarding OGU, I think we are in short supply of midfielders, one defender and one forward should go in my opinion. cheesy

Of course very risky.
They are our most in form strikers.
Shehu and Ogu should be dropped.

Self defense abi undecided
These guys lacked quality no doubt but in that second half they put their lives on the line.
They ran and fought for every ball.
They had the best chance.
They made Senegal look very ordinary.
My problem is with the coach, he selected Nigeria's worst team in history.
I was so ashamed watching them as they were clearly overage!

Most of these players are academy or Nigerian league products. It's very glaring they lack the basic of football.

However, I can see Okon is one to watch though he is still raw.
Okon is the reason we are loosing.
He can't just pass the ball to save his life.
Just give that final pass but no! It's either he plays a pathetic shot or run aimlessly until he loose the ball.
The goal keeper and that guy playing the right back uuchh no words!
