As I observed earlier, a relationship that intimate should have at least a real picture or video proof.

Yes there once existed a RELATIONSHIP.

Whether it was actually INTIMATE, EXPLICIT or merely PLATONIC, a lot of us are not in the position to guess but OBVIOUSLY they once had a standard "back and forth" kind of communication which had probably existed outside the normal pastor/follower enclave.

And talking about Photographic and video evidence, not everybody is fascinated by such, especially if it's actually a case of "shack up" (like majority of us are suspecting).

I ask myself, why would an educationally enlightened man (as a pastor) ignore established church protocols in offering assistance to someone outside the church locale, especially a self confessed club stripper?

I don't trust a lot of pastors but many factors seems to make Ms Otobo's claims questionable which people hardly seem to notice:

1. The lady claims there was a kind of introduction/traditional marriage. This is one area her claims flaws greatly. Someone as well known as Pastor Sulaiman cannot do a traditional marriage without it hitting blogs and evening newspapers at least. Someone among the attendees will certainly leak it.

2. Traditional marriage of that caliber must evidently have at least a picture or video.

3. A relationship that intimate as the girl claims should at least have one picture of the two together in loved up postures and not just a snapchat photoshop that says nothing.

4. The girls dad totally denied her claims even when she involved her dad in her video testimony.

5. How come all these things are happening at a time some powerful folks are after the downfall of the pastor.

6. No fake Nigerian pastor will want to divorce his wife and marry a stripper because in an effort to hide their hypocrisy there are certain things they wouldn't publicly do.

All I'm simply saying is that the girls stories do not add up at all. Even when you listen to her video testimony, the way she's stuttering and fumbling and her lack of cordination easily showcases an individual trying hard to arrange lies.

However I always leave a room for doubt if I hear stories like this in case I'm wrong.

your analysis are correct. What I think though is that FACTS are being mixed with FICTIONS from both side.

While the lady maybe (unintelligently) making up other issues like the traditional marriage and pregnancy to seal his coffin, there seems to have truly existed, a relationship.

.. the Pastor on the other hand could be trying to use the "blackmail accusation" as a defence to disperse this truly once existed relationship.

in other words, they could both be presently lying. That is, the only obvious truth (so far) is that there once EXISTED A RELATIONSHIP which doesn't seem to have ended well.

Of what use is an INSTRUCTION or DIRECTIVES whose bases cannot be COMPREHENDED in anyway by those expected to carry out or adhere by it?

As long as my acts, motive or understanding are founded on "genuine ignorance", what I "think" about any aspect of recommendation or condemnation (of an act or issue) in the Islamic religion is thus IMPORTANT.

Islam was not created and structured (by Allah) to be followed blindly, everything about this beautiful religion conforms to a logical pattern. Mankind is either too obfuscated to see through this or are simple not (yet) intelligently mutated enough to grasp the basis behind Allah proscriptions.

A significant number of the Sunna (examples of prophet Mohammed) that appeared weird, hard or incomprehensible centuries ago are now being back by scientific findings or societal evolution.

That is to show Islam was not blindly forged or casted and compelled upon us, it is a religion that was perfected (purposefully) for Mankind sake by God.

By the way sorry I am not making any technical references using the Qu'ran but you my friend, I would like to believe are knowledgeable enough to am stating facts.

I am not formally learned in Islamic tradition but Allah has been kind enough to endow me NATURALLY with unwavering understanding and perception.

If only I can tell you how many people have embraced Islam through my (non coercive, non intimidating and of course, non violent)
dahwa (evangelism).

Anyway the essence of my seeming long talk is: let's give all those people (who don't yet know) a chance, regardless of how challenging or even offensive their OPINION may sound to us.

We say ISLAM is a religion of PEACE, some people think otherwise. Well the burden of proof lies with us Muslims.

Sometimes in 2015 I thought of using this method to forcefully access a friend's phone. The person in question was shielding their mobile from me and I badly needed to confirm if this friend was still engaged in certain communication activities I resented.

So I thought of waiting inlay for when the fellow would need to rechage their phone while in my office then Gbam! i can rummage through the records and history.

I later abandoned the idea as I couldn't really do the software tweaking required.

.. your unwillingness to be accommodative of other people's sincere ignorance (of the Islamic tradition) could be part of a larger reason why some non-Muslims (and Muslims alike) continue to regard Islam with fear and phobia.

For anybody who doesn't have a fundamental learning about the authority and authenticity of the words of the holy prophet, accepting a NARRATION without proper CORRELATION will simple appear as being gullible.

What anybody "thinks" is surely of "importance" until they have been taken through due narration and explanation. We should stop seeing others "opinion" as challenging or doubting the sayings of the blessed prophet.

In other words we should stop scaring people away from Islam, the true DEEN made for us by God.

A little tolerance of others (innocent) ignorance will help our beautiful religion flourish. May Allah bless you all.

The president's handlers did a terribly messy job with this situation. We all knew with time, info about his true state would start filtering out because the lid on the state of such a public figure cant be kept forever! It would have been good to have them come out to tell us themselves what actually ails the president instead of us getting same in form of "leaks" in the press.

Pray tell, how exactly has their handling of the situation helped the image of the gentleman? Goddamn he's human and it shouldnt be a thing of shame for one to admit they are unwell. I just dont know what is wrong with these men.

It's not that simple. He is not just a public figure but also the president of a nation.
Any information about him (if not tactically handle) can create immeasurable instability.
From foreign investors and their investments to our own political arena and ambitious buccaneers, and even amidst the general populace on the street: any careless disclosure about the president affairs could trigger a turmoil.

So don't blame his publicity handlers, they are just doing their job- wisely.

In all sincerity what you should do is to expatiate better, making him to realise how thoroughly genuine the proscriptions and recommendations of the holy prophets are, rather than telling him his thoughts are of no importance.

Such response tends to erroneously portray Islam as a religion of force, stress, pain etc.
