Those guys up there use 4G network. I'm on the edge because I use Edge. Lol. Nor be today we know sey our pastor don go faaaaarrrrr. |
And to think he's good looking too: that's a perfect 'beauty and the brain.' Congratulations my brother from another mother! Most people around the world (especially fellow Africans) hate us, not because we're all that bad, but rather because we intimidate them in every facet of human endeavours. We're the smartest - we've got the brains; we're one of the most intelligent people on earth - we've got the brains; we're one of the most brilliant people, if not the most brilliant people on earth - we've got the brains; we're Nigerians - we've got the name. I know most of you will disagree, but who am I to interject? I'm just an African, a proud NIGERIAN! |
All of these I agree with. May God in His infinite mercy and grace keep giving us the grace to abide with all of these and much more. The best in my opinion, is the fact that it draws you closer to God - it strengthens the relationship between you and God so much so that you get to be so filled with the spirit of God. Your spiritual gifts starts coming to the fore and you see yourself manifesting things even beyond your imagination. God above all else, amen! |
These are supposed to be indoors or private treat, in other words, private dinner/lunch/breakfast. It doesn't have any direct bearing on either the state or the citizenry - we shouldn't be bothered with this kind of news (about what the president and his vice do in private). I love Buhari by the way, but these are not the kinds of irrelevant news we should be saddled with. |
AnanseK:You, sir, didn't get my point. I saw your post and I believe you have a point though. But my major point is, every Nigerian citizen is a responsibility of every Nigerian government irrespective of the state or region. If a Kano government takes care of Borno citizens, vice versa, it is perfectly normal. If a Lagos government takes care of Ogun citizens, it is perfectly in line. So as a result, I still maintain the governor deserves no commendation. Thank you sir, for your time. |
Inasmuch as I appreciate the gesture I still strongly believe it is perfectly normal so as a result, the governor shouldn't be praised for it. If an individual or private organization does it, he/they should be commended BUT if governor, government or even public office holders do it, they ought not to be commended - for they are doing what is constitutionally as well as morally required of them (in the first place). I know most people would disagree with me but honestly speaking, it doesn't deserve any sort of praise(s) for either the governor or the government for crying out loud. This is what any and every government is supposed to do; it is not a favour [from them] to the kids but rather a right [of the kids] from the government irrespective of who's in government. I humbly rest my case. |
Some people trend for all of the wrong reasons.. |
Privilege took her there, talent took him there. So it is safe to say, privilege + talent = the death of sickle cell. |
I want to believe the photographers or cameramen as it were, wouldn't have any response for this, otherwise it would be epic. I can't wait to watch... |
As pretty as she may be; as sexy as she may look, and as much as I really like it, I still don't think it's all that nice - because some Catholic brethren may not be too cool with it. I wouldn't want anything that might create or cause some religious strife. |
With every iota of reasonableness in me, with every atom of realism in me, I say you Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, are my number one role model and always will be. I love you with every 'reasonable reason' and will always do. Please keep soaring higher in all of your [life] endeavours. |
I don't know whether to agree or disagree, but I quite agree that Edo people are really smart. |
Atmmachine:Jesus Christ! You're as old as time, lol. Broda mi, ekaro sir... |
Don Moen I love; Osinbajo I like; Pastor Odukoya I appreciate. Happy birthday to him. |
psalmsjob:You have a point though. |
Present sir.. |
I've heard about him before though. But I pray God keeps keeping him safe - for he's one of our finest, at least, for now.. Oh, how I love the Army! |
Well-deserved, Mr. Idibia. |
Just when you think you're done hearing such horrible cases and news, then new and more horrible ones spring up. Now tell me, what is in a 13 year old girl [to attract a guy] how so much the less a 5 year old? How do these men even live with themselves? I really wish these people could be so prosecuted, so severely dealt with. Jeez! |
I always love Sunday Oliseh. |
Pamelayoung:No, I wasn't. |
Hmm, very pitiable. I do not condone rape but I do strongly advocate 'listening to both sides of the story,' - giving everyone a fair hearing. Just like someone posted above, the woman might be a widow and that very man might be her partner; but just because the children never approve of their affair, might decide to make a public mockery of the man. And the woman, in order to save face, might just [have] decided to play along with her children. I neither tolerate nor support jungle justice, the reason for which I shall commend the children at least, for not beating him or inflicting injuries on him. That man might (emphasis on 'might') just be innocent [of the rape allegations] after all. |
tobesticality:It is NOT a public school and it is NOT in any way owned by the government. It is not called 'Edo State University, Iyamho.' it is called 'Edo University, Iyamho.' Please pay attention to the omission of 'State' in the name. I have someone who schools there and I have been there many times, even on the Matriculations day, and I have all the authentic information about the school (in case you need it). |
Pamelayoung:No, it wasn't on a Sunday. It was on Saturday and by the grace of God, I was there. So I can tell you authoritatively that it was done on the 11th of June, which was on a Saturday. Thank you. |
nsiazu:You know it's not a very wise thing to jump into conclusions just like that. What makes you think the lady in question didn't go to school? What makes you think she gladly opened her legs for the so called irresponsible guy? Do you even know if she was raped? Mind you, I'm not justifying her act or actions; I am only trying to make you see why it is extremely good to be very logical in our analysis, pontifications as well as conclusions. |
Confidence? I never knew going braless equates confidence. So from now on, nobody should insult those prostitutes/runz girls oo, 'because they're all displaying confidence.' The world has gone berserk! |
I hate to read or see what I consider abomination. Sincerely speaking, not everyone deserves a child. And to think some very loving and awesome people are looking for children without having any, yet some lowlifes (please forgive my English) have them even in excess without deserving them. This makes me remember the shirt I got as a gift from my brother while in Secondary School and on the T-shirt is boldly written, 'any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a daddy.' |
kvngveektour:Like I said in my post, I did/do project works, assignments, tests etc, for people. And I also do private tutoring, speech writing or preparations. And lastly, I also participate in competitions (mostly in the area of academics) and by God's grace I've been able to win some cash and other prizes here and there. Bro, trust me when I say it is very easy to survive: all you need is your God (if you believe in one) and your brain. |
I consider it funny though. They are all leaving the PDP because they consider it dead. Why are there no more loyal politicians or rather, loyal party members? Sorry, I forgot to add, in Nigeria? |
I was just having this same conversation with a friend about two days ago. He was angry because his dad sent him N13,000 instead of N20,000 (monthly allowance) - even though the dad sent him an sms and specifically said "manage that one for now." Well, I told him my story - that I, by the grace of God, do or should I say did now(?) receive N5,000 every semester (please I'm not exaggerating), and that was even when I was in 100 and 200 levels. From 300 to final year it became N3,000. I had to find a way of augmenting the allowance by doing so many other things like, project works, assignments, tests or even examinations for other students, just to get by. I had to pay my own rent, electricity bills and the likes (I lived off campus). By the time I finished telling him my story, he practically begged me not to tell his mom, because it will definitely affect his allowance. Very funny. So many of us are not so lucky and we didn't have it all easy. But I'll always still choose my 'poor mother' anytime any day. Though I just recently graduated, but I am now a better 'money manager' for it. God bless you Mom Otis! |
I think we should add a bit of caution in interpreting as well as addressing [other people's] issues. After all, Mr. Bruce never said Mr. Buhari asked his security details to 'prevent' him from greeting him. He only said they prevented him from greeting the President; and then Mr. Sani said something that particular caught my attention - that, "it is NOT everything that the security agents does that Mr. President will know;" which invariably implies [that] the President may not have even been aware of Mr. Bruce's effort/attempt to greet him. Sincerely speaking, that's my understanding of and take on the issue. |
Lvlink:You, my dear, I agree with. |
