That night, she went into my room again, this time with a kitchen skewer. She repeated this for many nights, each with a different weapon such as a fork, apair of scissors, And a scalpel. When she discovered I had been in the corner during the night, she started stabbing the wall where I stayed when she went into my room. I set up blankets and pillows in the bathtub of my bathroom and locked the door, but she discovered I slept in there too. She would repeatedly stab the bathroom door a number of times before she went back to bed. The bathroom door won't hold much longer, the holes have made it not sturdy and suddenlly the door was wide open.....slowly, calmly and dangerouslly, my elder sis walked towards me sleep-walking with a sharp kitchen knife in her right hand and a bowl of acid on her left hand.

The next morning, sister Arinola seemed her normal self, happily chatting away about her job, with no memory of that night. She told me I looked ill(shey na my fault? Make u come kill me for sleep abi?), and made me stay home from school. "handsome boy like you need a healthy sleep" she joked cheerfully. I smiled weakly, but didn't tell her I was more afraid to fall asleep at the moment than death. When she left for work, I set a kitchen timer for twenty minutes, and slept in shifts, until I heard my sister openthe door.....

It felt as if my heart had dropped in my stomach. I couldn't wake her up, because that could kill her.Instead, I slowly and quietly crawled out of my bed, and into the corner of my room. She, very slowly, got to the foot at the bed, and stood there for a while, before she stabbed the knife in the mattress. She tugged the blade out of the bed, and, very slowly, walked out of the room.
I stood at the corner of my room for a while, too paralyzed to even move, but after a few minutes, I gathered up as much courage as possible and lied on my bed, not sleeping for the whole night.(abi i don sleep?)

My name is Tayo, and this is my story.

Just a few weeks ago, around August 22nd, my birthday. I encountered a disturbing, repeating experience that makes my stomach churn when I think about it. One night, I was lying in the dark, but my body wouldn't let me sleep. I tossed and turned, eager to plunge into the peaceful silence of sleep. My eyes were drooping ever so slightly, and, as if far away, I heard the creaking of my door. Reality jerked me awake, and the growing crack of the door opening freaked me out a little. My parents were gone for a burial ceremony of a relative, and my adult sister Arinola never visited me while I was asleep, but I saw Arinola slowly inch into my room. Her eyes were closed, yet sometimes fluttered open a little. She finally made it into the darkness, holding something shiny and metalic. I could tell she was sleepwalking. As she got closer to my bed, I saw she was holding a knife.

As I swung open the door I was frozen again, this time by a gust of cold air that chilled me to the bone. I was shivering before the gust even stopped. I started to turn, not being able to really help myself. Before I could get half way, a voice which seemed right next to me, loudly shouted "TAYOOOO Noooooooo!".
I dropped to my knees, my heart racing, my lungs not able to gain enough breath to scream. I closed my eyes and started to rock, trying to prepare myself for whatever was about to happen. At that point i was certain The New House was hunted.
Literature / Re: The New House by fankasibe: 4:41pm On Sep 03, 2013
That's when I heard my name. Very soft and very faint, I made out the word "TAYO" which sounded like 'AYO'. My body wouldn't move. My breathing was so labored, I could barely hear the voice as it kept repeating my name. I scrambled to the end of the bed, my eyes darting from the radio, to all around the room. I wanted to scream for my parents, but I couldn't make a sound.
And as quickly as it started, it stopped. The radio, which had moments ago called to me in a soft manner, was now back to its regularly scheduled programming.
I waited a few minutes, heard still pounding. I needed to get to my parents. I know without hearing it, they would just say I was dreaming. But I needed their comforting presence. I slowly edged to the end of the bed, taking a hesitant step off the bed, touching the floor with a whisper of noise. I stood, slowly making my way towards the door, my eyes taking in the entire room, not really sure what I was looking for. I breathed a small sigh of relieve when my hand touched the door knob.

On the 7th night, I went to bed as normal (after being forced by my father to listen to the ever boring NTA network news). By 10pm, I was drifting in that space where you weren't completely awake, yet not totally asleep. As I was starting to dream,I heard the first thud. I jolted awake, my ears straining to hear it again. After a few minutes and no more sounds, I chalked it up to something that was possibly in my dream. As I drifted back to sleep, I was humming along to the top music hit that was popular at the time 'baby tani ko fewa shogbon oju n lon mowa' by lagbaja, again my mind wandering to school the next day.
I don't think I caught on right away, but as I started to listen again, I noticed my radio was no longer playing the song. The static was low and crackling. I reached over to adjust the radio, thinking it just came out of tune. As I turned the dial slow, trying to catch the radio station, I came across a station that was coming in faintly. I kept adjusting the dial, trying to clear the sound. As it started to come in I froze.

My name on dis Forum is Fankasibe (scatter) but my real name is Tayo and dis is my story.

My parents didn't believe us. In their minds, we were 12 and 9(my little sis). We had just moved into a new house that was "strange," or so at least that was the excuse they gave for all the noises at night and the cold drafts that would come from nowhere. I was determined to show them we were not imagining it. I may have been 12, but I knew what I had felt, and a settling (new environment) house could not be the cause for it.
For the next week, I stayed up as late as I could each night, determined that when I heard the sounds, I would wake up my parents and they could hear for themselves. My blanket was securely around me and my flashlight was in hand. My radio was on low. I found I couldn't handle complete silence, but the low radio gave me just enough background that I could still hear the creaks of the house. For 6 nights I waited, and for 6 nights there was nothing. No sounds, no cold drafts. I started to believe my parents may have been right. We had just moved in after all, and maybe it was just the house, and everything was explainable.

My utmost pains is why shld the children of this political elites school abroad instead of dwindling here in strike with the rest of us? Why must they school abroad to have the best of academic concentration whil we are left in this mud. IT SHALL NEVER BE WELL WITH POLITICIANS FROM TOP PRESIDENCY TO THE BOTTOM WARD COUNSELLOR UNLESS THEY DO WHAT IS RIGHT TO FAVOUR THE MASSES - AMEN!

We students are left with no option than to hit the streets to the government houses nationwide including National Assembly.

It's time we think and take things into our own hands. Our predesesures have failed us. Our political and economy situation is now similar to the old Ghana. So help us God.

HOME and AWAY
(I am a true Nigerian everywhere).

With love, strength and faith,
I had kept my promise
Within my father’s land,
Raising her flag so high,
Serving with heart and mind,
Conscious of her history,
Creating love from her wars,
Making unity in her diversity,
Considering my father’s pain
Which must never be in vain.

I have crossed the seas,
Going with me a nation,
Letting out her heritage
Through culture and pride,
Sharing it to all with love and smile.

In many, I come first
Through honesty and hard work,
Smelling of her aura,
When my heart beats her anthem.

I might have leave,
But I will never be gone
To a place so far
Of a journey so long,
Without my home in my heart.

In me you see my father’s land,
In me you see a new generation,
In me you see good people of a great nation.

Home and Away!
I am a Nigerian.

peaz4al: People say, human being cannot be perfect but God says be ye perfect(mat. 5:48).There is no choice in this matter, the standard of God remaineth sure(2Tim 2:19).
So you either live holy and perfect to be rapturable or continue in your sin and go to hell. But I tell you hell is not a palatable place.

Please surrender your life to Jesus be totally free from sin so that we can all rejoice in heaven.Be ye holy!
