As many who ventured to join the trained were cursed and dis-owned. Thank God Gburugburu is no longer alive, he would have been disowned if he joined train with Ngige et al. You only need to be under a curse or blessing in Igboland for one reason: oppose or support 'Azikwe'. (FFK/Fayose and Okoroacha/Ngige on my mind)!APGA (APUGA) is just in mouth. afterall the gburugburu himself (someone big and qualified to rule Nigeria) was betrayed in far less significant political position

Politics2019: APGA Needs To Re-strategize For Igbo Presidency – Maxi Okwu by farem(op): 3:01pm On Apr 08, 2015
We need to re-strategize for Igbo presidency – APGA leader
By Timothy Enietan-Matthews on April 8, 2015

Okwu, who was speaking in an interview with journalists in Awka, called for reconciliation and re-integration of founding and aggrieved members who had left APGA for other parties.

“If we decide to go back to those who founded the party, including Chief Chekwas Okorie, the Igboezue Group and the Igbo Delegate Assembly (IDA) in the North, among others, APGA will gain more grounds.

“The Igbo people need to embrace and split into two political parties of which APGA should be one and not just put all their eggs in one basket.”

Okwu faulted the agreement that APGA, under the leadership of Chief Victor Umeh, entered into an agreement with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), without a Memorandum of Understanding.

According to him, APGA’s loss in the March 28 elections, especially the National Assembly polls, was a self-inflicted injury, following the alliance between it and the PDP.

He said the alliance was a “betrayal of the visions of the founding fathers of APGA and the cardinal principle that the party shall field candidate in every presidential election’’.

“When I was elected as national chairman on April 11, 2013, I had planned to make APGA a third major party in Nigeria’s politics that will hold the balance of power between the APC and the PDP.”

He expressed confidence that if the leadership tussle between him and Umeh at the Supreme Court was decided in his favour, he would restore the lost glory of the party, noting that with the unseating of PDP as the country’s governing political party, an essential ingredient of genuine democracy had been fulfilled.

“I welcome with all enthusiasm ‘the change’ that occurred on March 28; it may not be the change we want or believe in, but there has been a change for the better.

“I am thrilled because for the past 16 years of civil rule, it has been years of the locust.

“There will now be competition among parties, vibrant and vigilant press as well as sensitive and responsive civil society, while citizens will jealously guard their freedom and rights.”

According to him, the PDP would win the April 11 governorship polls in 14 states, while APC and APGA would in 20 and 1 states respectfully.

FEEL THIS JOKE!
Two little boys stole a big bag of oranges from a neighbor & decided to go to a calm place to share the lot equally.
One of them suggested the nearby cemetery.
As they were jumping the big gate to enter the cemetery, two oranges fell out of the big bag but they didn't bother to pick them since they had enough in the bag.
Few minutes later, a drunkard on his way from a bar, passed near the cemetery gate & heard a voice saying: "One For Me, One For U, One For Me, One For U".....
He immediately sobered up & ran as fast as he could to a church nearby, for the priest.......................
"Father, pls come with me . Come & witness God & satan sharing corpse at the cemetery"......
They both ran back to the cemetery gate & the voice continued: "One For Me, One For U, One For Me, One For U'............
Suddenly, the voice stopped counting & said:
"What About The Two At The Gate?"...........
Come see marathon race!.........
The priest almost ran pass the church gate..shouting: "We Are Not Dead Yet oohh!!!".
....
If its funny...

BUSINESS: CNN Tags Nigeria "Worst Performer in Africa"

CNNMoney has declared the country as the worst performing economy in Africa two months after ranking the country next to China and Qatar as world fast-growing economies.

“By our estimate, the fastest growing economies in 2015 will be China, Qatar and Nigeria. Nigerian economy, growing by 7.0 percent, came after China 7.3 percent and Qatar 7.1 percent,” CNNMoney had said in January.

However the programme now believes otherwise, saying the oil price fall is choking Nigeria and as a result the country faces harsh economic realities and a rapid depletion of its reserves.

“Nigeria’s currency is trading at a record low against the United States (US) dollar,” it said.

“The stock market has slumped 15 percent this year –making it the worst performer in Africa – and financial reserves are being depleted.”

PoliticsThe Correct Report Of What Transpired Between The Oba Of Lagos And The Igbos. by farem(op): 2:34pm On Apr 06, 2015
THIS IS THE CORRECT REPORT OF WHAT TRANSPIRED BETWEEN THE OBA OF LAGOS AND THE IGBOS.

Oba Akiolu appeals to Igbo Lagosians to vote Ambode
The paramount ruler of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu has appealed to Igbo residents in the state to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode.
The Oba made the appeal on Sunday when he met with Igbo leaders in his palace.
He urged them to swing their votes to the APC because he personally chose the governorship candidate of the party. It was believed that Igbo residents of Lagos, voted unanimously for the Peoples Democratic Party in the 28 March elections.
The Lagos Oba was visibly angry during his address and said he was not begging, but giving an instruction as to what he expected his Igbo citizens to do.
“I’m not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi (Agbaje) is my blood relation and I told him that he can never be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, don’t do it here. If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you”.
The monarch said anybody against Ambode does not wish the state well.
“I am for the progress, growth and development of Lagos. Ambode is highly cerebral, he’s a symbol and he is going to deliver the message which I, the Oba of Lagos, have said. And he will govern the state for another eight years. He is going on a mission and God will give him the wisdom and knowledge to fulfil that mission.
“Almost a year ago, I declared that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos and it will not change. From time immemorial, the previous occupiers of this house will say what they wanted after consultation with other people. And this hasn’t changed and it will not change at this time.”
Akiolu restated what he has always said that Goodluck Jonathan administration did not cause the crisis in Nigeria, but that the crisis was caused by another person he refused to name.
“If not for the appeal from Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and my highly respected maternal father, the Awujale of Ijebuland, all what is happening today is not the cause of the present government. The man who caused everything knows himself”.
In his response, the Eze-Ndigbo of Amuwo-Oriade, Dr. Gordian Dimojiaku, promised that Igbo in Lagos would support Ambode.
“The mistake of last Saturday was caused by everybody, not only the Igbo. It is not only the Igbo that were responsible for the votes.
“But we have learnt our lesson. Saturday’s election is going to be a different thing and Ambode is going to win. Everybody knows that when you fail the first time, you cannot afford to fail again. We are going to tell our people that Ezes from the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas are here and that we have sworn with the Oba that we are going to make sure that Ambode wins next Saturday’s election.”

Very apt, Ndigbo should stop seeing everyone else as enemy of igbo except themselves. You hardly can achieve anything in life if emotions drives all you do.
We should stop be arrogant, stop feeling superior to others, stop this delusional and self consuming hatred for other tribes, stop the silly and nonsensical reference to the civil war for which our dishonesty was the real underlying cause of. That's the point. Anything other than that is just trying to justify our behaviour in a weak way

An Open Letter To Igbos By Rochas Okorocha
Dear Igbo Compatriots:
One of the closest Igbo man to the President Elect is Dr Chris Ngige Onwa, a Senator who was defeated in the Senatorial Election.
See how bad Igbos are at strategizing? They couldn't override a pathological hatred for General Buhari to make a hedge bet and return this man to the Senate, to enhance his chances at Senate President, incase General Buhari wins, which he did.
Instead folks played tribal and religious politics to the tilt as drunken sailors, and failed the man and the chance to make history as Senate President.
That's what happens when emotions trips common sense and folks succumb to hustlers like Peter Obi and Arthur Eze, hustlers after their own interests instead of the masses they pretend to serve.
I urged caution, I pleaded that we were making a huge mistake to hitch our wagon on Jonathan who wasn't going to win. And predictably he lost, so also our chance in the new administration.
I hate to gloat. But maybe, maybe, only maybe he gets a good ministerial appointment, but nothing beats being Senate President. Igbos are very bad at politics.
Fifty years after independence, we are yet to produce a president when others have taken multiple turns. Our answer? Blame others! If you only Hausas didn't do this or Yorubas didn't do that, perhaps the god of politics will bless our lot.
And sadly it won't stop until we learn to coexist with others instead of our 'better than thou' attitude when dealing with the Hausas and Yorubas. We are not better than anyone, these folks we thumb our noses at, are God's creatures like us.
We don't like the Hausas and we don't like the Yorubas, yet we populate their States in search for our livelihood. Our politics should mirror our economic aspirations, not the other way around. There is no wisdom in living in the North, earning a living, yet despise the Northerners. That's being ungrateful. The gods of politics don't like that.
How long can this collective amnesia insulate us from meaningfully seating at the table, making contributions to Nigeria's political evolution? How long can this foolishness go on? How long?
There is a miserable silence across the land today, because we are realizing that we were sold off for pennies by pimps who parade as Igbo leaders.
****When will the Igbos wake up?
