All those loooooong court cases can be cut short with simple pictures or video evidence. So I plan to invest heavily on them.

In this thread, I'll like us to share experience and profer solution to this issue of area boys harassment of farmers and land owners. Whenever you want to build any structure they'll appear and start demanding for large amount of money - an amount that is enough to start a farm business.

My Experience
Before my poultry farm was built, we have to pay this people N300,000 for 3 plots of land. Now assuming we did not have the money, I'll be roaming about towns looking for job. This kept me thinking that some graduates have access to land and money to start up a business, but the fear of these people force them to go for job hunting instead.

In Anambra state, the past govnor, Peter Obi, passed a law that illegalize the acts of area boys. The law states: ". Any person who collect or demand any fee (not approved by law) from any person developing or improving on existing development on land has a punishment of 5 years jail or N500,000 fine or both"

"F. Any person who unlawfully destroys, remove, damage any beacon or structure on any land will go to 10 years jail or N1m fine or both"

My father had another 2 plot of land which I'll like to develop into a rabbit and poultry farm, but I know that if I should step on the land to build anything again, these guys will appear and demand for 200k or more. For me, I'm not paying anything, I'd rather gather evidence of their activities with video cameras and sue them to court.

That's my own experience and possible solution, now what do you guys think?

Blindness as in how? Something like boils covered their eyes?

That's about 15 months old. If they started laying at 5 months, they've been laying for 10 months now. Generally, they normally lay for 52 weeks before they're sold. That's about 12 months and. So you're birds are nearing the end of their laying period. Egg production normally drop during this period. If you're not making enough profit, consider selling them.

So you guys means that there is no better way of dealing with these bush boys? In Anambra state, Peter Obi passes a law that states that anyonee caught harrassing land developer will pay N500,000 or be jailed for 5 years or both.

@pet01 I changed to animal care sometime ago and the production dropped drastically. but when I went back to top feed d production rose again. I dont want to try animal care again, I want cheaper feed and same quality with top feed. am thinking of supreme feed.

Budget roughly N800 per bird, though mine was slightly higher. And pls, make sure their house is well ventilated. The dwarf walls should not be too high, 30cm is ok. Don't build it as an attachment to a fence. I'm just telling u some mistakes that cost me a lot.

That's about 78% laying. How old are they?

The last time I check, they say it's N3.5k.

Cockerel takes time to mature (I think up to 6 months). Their feed is also cheaper. Broilers mature faster, about 2-3 months and they eat a lot. Their feed is expensive. Which one to embark on boils down to whether u have the market and startup capital. Starting broiler is more capital intensive. When it comes to mortality, broilers die easily while cockerel are as hardened as indigeneous fowls.

But the wedding gown is sth else, makes me doubt if they're really christian.

I saw a post wia he said he has been doing nano silver tey tey. i saw another one wia he was selling a weightloss drug via a proxy. he brought d drugs into naija.

Thanks Uboma. Mercylicious. They are being fed the expected quantity. While, I had thought of supplying artificial light due to the shorter day-length, I decided against it in the interim as it is only advisable after the birds have started laying on their own. All the same, thanks a bunch

You can start light stimulatn when 80% have reached the target body weight of about 1.5kg.

At most I know, some birds may start laying at 22wks.

lt is time to put on the creative cap and come up with a fomula that may turn out cheaper and serving the same purpose! l have come to believe that there is no single solution to anything, so make una start research.

Eyes shud be going to byproducts that are wasted - cassava, leaf meals (moringa etc).

President Obama took a break from campaigning Monday to cast his vote early, only to receive ribbing from another voter to stay clear of his fiancée.

An apparently jealous man on Monday warned President Obama to stay away from his fiancée.

No, we are not making this up. It is actual news. Mr. Obama was casting his vote early at a Chicago polling station (more on that later) when a local man named Mike Jones walked by and said, “Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend.”

He was kidding, we think. CNN caught the whole thing on tape, so you can judge for yourself. Obama may have been surprised but he appeared take the warning with aplomb.

“I really wasn’t planning on it,” he replied, while continuing to mark off his ballot at the stand-up voting machine.

The woman in question, Aia Cooper was understandably mortified. She was voting next to Obama, which is why Mr. Jones got involved in the first place.

“I am sorry, please excuse him,” she said.

Obama said it was an example of “a brother just embarrassing me for no reason.” Then he went into a riff in which he predicted what Ms. Cooper would say when she went home and told her friends and family about the incident.

“ ‘I can’t believe Mike, he’s such a fool,’ ” Obama said Cooper would say.

“ ‘Fortunately, the president was nice about it,’ ” he said, imitating Cooper.

At the end Obama went up to her and said that given what had gone on they had to give folks something to talk about, and kissed her on the cheek.

The president was probably pretty pleased with how this went down. So pleased, in fact, we had a brief moment of thinking the whole thing was a pre-planned act. (We doubt it; conspiracies are much harder to pull off than Oliver Stone believes.)

This is not because it seemed kind of cute but because of a crucial aspect of the whole video: everybody in it is voting. Already! Election Day is not until Nov. 4, remember. But early voting is now allowed in 34 states and the District of Columbia.

Democrats are desperately trying to increase turnout among Democratic-leaning constituencies, such as African-Americans, to counteract Republican enthusiasm. Encouraging early voting has been one of their main turnout tools. A viral video of the president casting a ballot can only help these efforts.

The GOP has responded in kind with an early voting effort, establishing a sort of race between the parties to see how fast each can get its partisans to the polls.

“The success or failure of each party’s efforts to get voters to the polls early will determine the outcome of critical contests across the nation, including the battle for control of the Senate,” wrote Reid Wilson yesterday in The Washington Post.

And early returns show early turnout is heavy. As of Oct. 21, over 2.6 million voters had already cast mid-term ballots, according to the United States Election Project.

It’s not clear yet if either party has an edge here. But if Obama’s banter about jealous boyfriends makes even a handful of Democrats get to the polls early rather than not vote at all the party will count itself fortunate.
