That would be ok if he can afford the cost, but their are independent cameras that you can always playback to see all that happened - the number of bags removed, the number of bags fed etc.

Hello house members..please come to my aid..av been following this thread for a long time trying to learn from peoples experiences..I ventured into the poultry business with 300 broilers doc..the first three days no mortality but since the fourth day till now the 6th day..av lost 4birds due to unforseen circumstances and 2 birds due to the fact that I stepped on them with the drinkers..
How do I manage this fatality..today alone I lost 3..
They are already on 2nd day treatment for coccidiosis and also they already took stresroak liquid from day one and also used three days to take oral administration of intergen-200 for control of gastrointestinal and respiratory infections..
Please help

The right thing is to use that money and install motion-activated cameras at strategic places. That way, you can monitor how much feed they actually give per day, how many shud be left etc.

I still here ooo, just trying to get things going, has not been easy. especially my workers stealing over 230 bags of feed from the farm and over 200 grown 2kg and above birds. It is crazy.

Yeah got full details now for the yam biz;

*If you love to go for the smaller sized... It goes for 7k(100pcs) and 3k for transport to mile-12 in lagos state. You surely can sell for #200 to #300 in lagos state. That's 30,000 cash after sales

*If you love to go for the Biggest of Biggest infact you too will say wow!!!.... Its just 12k to 14k and 3k fro transport to mile-12 in lagos state. You surely can sell for #400 to #500. That's 50,000 cash after sales

All I need is just 10people to do the supply for when the number is complete I will surely close this thread because ordinarily it is stressful buying and then putting it in a lorry for transport.

@ Farmtech, actually, I noticed something in my rabbits, I tried to feed them with Letus and after feeding them, I noticed that they were purging serious, I stopped given them Letus. The purge stopped. After some weeks I bought Letus that I wanted to eat, after eating some of the Letus, the remaining ones I gave it to the rabbits. But to my amazement, the started purging again, unfortunately, one of them died. So to my understanding, I think Letus is not good for rabbits. My breed of rabbit is newzealand white. The one that died was weighing around 4kg. So Farmtech what can u say about that? We all are here to learn.

Lettuce is not good in large quantities. Be very careful when u feed sth new to them. They can die if u just suddenly change their diet. So feed new feed in small amount and observe for any side effect.

I can't say I'm into snail farming. I just have few as hobby. I study and get prepared for the real thing.

This is just a rough estimate. The actual cost will depend on the time of the yr. It's higher during festive season.

B4 you switch, test the new feed on some of them to avoid painful mistake. Also mix the old and new feed together for at least 2 weeks. After that u can give them only the new feed. Changing feed suddenly can be dangerous.

Farmtech pls I want to know if u buy commercial feed or u locally produce ur feeds? If commercial, how do u cope with the price of feed and the quantity they consume in making profit? But if u use local feed how do u get ur mixtures right?

I use commercial feed and the price have not change yet. My supplier have not increase the price. Are you having problem with price?

Oga mi, i remain loyal. I have rested my poultry passion 97%. My problems are inability to afford vet for my pullet(25pcs, but all sold now), purchase cage, inadequate funds and lack of ready customer base etc. As a part time backyard farmer, i cant go to the market. But am currently raising small amount of cockerel and recently ventured into micro-rabbitry. I have been following quietly, even d Qsat cable brouhaha lol.
