We are all learning. So I'll like u to list some sins that are unto death and those that are not. Because for now, I understand "sin unto death" to mean any sin that was not confessed and repented from b4 death came. Bible interpretation can be tough sometimes.

The saying of John agrees with my position that some sayings of Jesus as that one concerning lust were meant to make men perfect as God was and made man to be in the beginning. Not that such would lead man to hell.

For instance, if Adam and Even had just lusted after the forbidden fruit in their hearts but not eaten of it in the beginning, do you think they would have perished as God said they would if they had eaten of it?

Of course the lust in their hearts led them to eat it, but what if they had stopped at lusting after it in their hearts and not eaten of it, would they have sinned unto death?

It's obvious what the answer is, and i believe that's the standard God sent Jesus to bring back to mankind, hence that saying, but not that lust in one's heart would lead man to hell even if it doesn't proceed out of the heart as fornication, adultery etc.

I already have a small backyard garden where I've been planting vegetables since March (lockdown gave me the willpower to do this) and coupled with what I've learnt here, I decided to add cucumber planting also (just for my personal consumption). Ọga Okoroemeka has been of tremendous help. He responded promptly to my messages to him on WhatsApp and gave valuable insights.

I planted the seeds (cucumber) this evening and my fingers arre crossed.

When I google for more explanation, a site says that, a sin unto death is the one somebody engage in and did not repented from till death. The fact remains that the complete meaning isn't clear. So it is wrong to assume that lust will not lead to hell.

Yes you have according to this saying of Jesus:

But it's not a sin unto death because this saying of Jesus was intended to make you perfect as the Father is!

That was how God made man (male an female) to be in the beginning and how man was before he fell into sin. So the purpose God sent Jesus to the Earth, was to restore things back to way they were in the beginning, when there was no lust in man's heart despite that they (male and female) were both naked.

Genesis 2:25 (KJV)

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

So shame only came after lust entered into their hearts via sin, but that was not how God made man to be in the beginning. Hence the purpose of that saying of Jesus was to restore man back to the way God made them in the beginning when there was no lust in their hearts.

Therefore that ought to be the aspiration of every man who is a follower of Jesus; to become perfect as God is and made man to be in the beginning when there was no lust in man's heart.

This Jesus was, being a perfect illustration of the ways of the Father on Earth, hence He desired for His followers to become likewise.

So do not settle for lust even though it just that of the heart, because God desires that you be perfect as He is without lust in your heart, so that you don't give the devil any room to exploit.

With God it's possible to achieve this.

Tragic! I suggest u build a low fence (<knee height) round the farm with sticks, dry grass etc. But leave some entry points for the rodents and set traps there. Those rodents (except the tree ones) don't know how to climb, so they will enter thru the entry points.

Do you think if we want to cleanse the world of evils commited in the name of Christianity there'll be enough oil for it? Stop hyping the white man's culture and religion blindly, select what your own morality feels is good while also being within the legal limit and go with it, and leave the next man to do same at his own discretion. Even the white people that brought the mental shackles of religion have abandoned it in favour of freedom and technological advancement, it's high time we followed suit or the world will leave us behind, it already is. New birth often leads to a change of conducts, however, a change of conducts IS NOT the new birth. There are many who have quit all those things you mentioned but aren't born again.

I agree and we are saying the same thing. New birth MUST come with change of conduct. Some people think that only their spirit can be born again, not their flesh.

I will advise that you go back and read the article very well. But before you do, let me explain a few things about the article.

It says our parents gave birth to us, and God gives birth to us when he saves us. When God gives birth to us, our spirit changes. It becomes like God. Since God doesn't sin, that spirit he gave birth to which is in us can never sin.

Now, our parents who gave birth to our flesh are sinners, so what they give birth to will also sin. That is why we sin in the flesh, but not in the spirit which God gave birth to.

When we die, that sinful flesh rots away while that perfect spirit goes to heaven. During the resurrection, we get given a new body which is actually the same old one but made new. This new body can never sin like the old one. That way our perfect spirit United with a perfect body and we become perfect with no ability to sin. That will happen during the resurrection.

In this our lives, we are not perfect. But we work towards perfection. We mature from spiritual childhood to spiritual adulthood. So u cannot say that it is only the spirit that matures and not the flesh. The grace of God shud not be distorted.

This is garbage doctrine. Sadly, you have no verse to back up your claim that heaven is only for those who obey the commandments of Jesus.

Look, heaven is for those who believe in Jesus, whether they obey his commandments or not. The below verse says even if you do not work, as long as you believe in Jesus, that faith makes you righteous and eligible for heaven in all certainty.

Romans 4:5 KJV
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

To support the above verse, the below verse which speaks on salvation says works don't save us but faith. Isn't that exactly what the previous verse is saying?

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast

But you claim we must work by obeying God's commandments otherwise no heaven for us. Sadly for you, you have no verse to back it up.

What we need is believe which gives us eternal life according to John 3:16. But a wicked liar like you has said that the eternal life means eternity which can be spent either in hell or heaven. You will never find any verse to back that lie up with.

Eternal life means life that never ends and with God which we get for believing in Jesus. Those who don't believe in Jesus get death.

What is the death stated above? It is the death in the lake of fire.

That is the death those who died without Jesus will face again, while those with eternal life get heaven and paradise. In case you didn't get it: Born again is not the same as change of conducts. It's not "all those things I used to do, I do them no more". Born again means to BELIEVE IN JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOUR
