I don't think there's any difference in what shekau is trying to achieve and what usman dan fodio did. I think both are terrorists.
The only difference is that one existed in a time when the word terrorism doesn't exist n therefore regarded as a hero while the other is regarded otherwise. |

I can't believe people are insulting me and blaming me for what happened. I created this thread to get advice and comfort but I'm getting insults. I'm a very emotional person and this isn't helping.
I'm crying all over again just reading some comments. I don't have an alcohol problem and yes I planned on having sex with him soon; when I felt ready, but definitely before marriage. How can you say this is my fault?
Today might be my last day on this earth. Human beings are indeed wicked. Just calm down. Don't do it. Don't let what some stupid people here say get to you. Killing yourself won't solve no problem. Think about your family. The pain you'd cause them if you do it. Go to the hospital for tests and then report to the police station if it true. |

We have places that beers are sold in every city of North...
We are not trying to stop the sale of Alcohol in the north..
We are strictly regulating its consumption among Young people.
If it pains you... We are only license few hotels to sell beer and even run brothel...
We all know wassup but will never openly support immorality!!
It's against our social standards!!
The north is waking up to human development...
We can't afford junkies on our streets!!
Time will come where everybody will be free to do drugs, alcohol, and olingo openly...
But we must attain some level of human development and exposure!! Banditry, terrorism and religious extremism are social norm in the North abi. |
Travel › Re: The Forms Of Racism You Have Faced As An African Abroad by Fash20: 3:17pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
firstratedcitiz: For some of us living abroad, racism is an everyday experience - something we are already getting used to. Forget what you hear about the USA and how America is a beacon of hope and haven for tolerance and freedom. Racism thrives here, man. Maybe because I am light skinned, but I seldom have encountered racist abuse. Although a few years back, after I migrated, I experienced what I felt as veiled racism when a white friend of mine got visibly annoyed because I toasted a white girl. I didn't know his reasons but I am sure it had to do with the latent racist tendencies in most Americans. (Dark skinned Africans even suffer worse). In United States racism is more obvious in the southern states than in the northern parts. Damn! The dude was never your friend. perhaps he couldn't toast white ladies. lol |
Politics › Re: Southern Nigeria Will Turn To Draught And Desert In Nearest Future by Fash20: 12:30pm On Feb 01, 2021 |
Ekealterego: No, actually, <it is more recent than your prediction. More like 6000 years ago that it started and this can be traced to the arrival of the pastoralist.
The climate, soil and vegetation of the area was already delicate, the arrival of sheep, cows and goat trampling and exposing the soil and reflecting with the soil and some other chain reactions started this (Note that wild ungulates and other wild grazing animals have a different grazing habit from introduced domestic animals. Why do you think the Sahara is still following in the direction of the pastoralist. Even locally, have you seen those Fulani settlements within the forest how those forests turn to a patch of sand creating a very small microclimate? Even within here in the South? Why do you think farmers are afraid of cows entering their farms? it is not only about eating their crops, even when the cows defecate on the crops, the crops fail to grow because it is not the suitable "manure" for that soil or crop.
Why do you think they stop deforestation by planting trees and creating hedges while discouraging grazing in those areas?
It is a complicated analysis. you're getting it wrong. Cows can not cause desertification singlehandedly. Post references to buttress your point. |

Ekealterego: Have you ever wondered why everywhere in history, cattle grazing have happened over years have turned the desert? From Mali, Niger and now, Northern Nigeria where desertification is becoming a serious problem. Sahara desert used to be a very lush green area, some research revealed that overgrazing caused the chain reaction that turned it into a desert. Seriously... I think the desertification of Sahara desert is as a result of climate change. Sahara desertification predates homo-sapien which occurred circa 7 million years ago . Human started the domestication of animals not more than 20000 years ago. if you juxtapose, you will realise that the human had no hand In the desertification of the Sahara. |

oladeebo: It's a pity Nigeria never experience draught and famine in their history, the reason they were playing with Fulani issue, it is certain that over grazing lead to draught, desertification and famine, in sub saherien countries where they have experience the repetitive draught and famine, they know what am talking about when humans died, can you talk of cattle? but here in Nigeria peoples only debate on Fulani attack on farmers, kidnapping etc. wake up southern Nigeria before is too late. our land had been overgrazed. do you even know what drought is? How can overgrazing stop rain from falling. Calm down Nigga |

Klinee: That is Very big problematic effect befalling on Nigeria. The federal government should step up to the duty, take the bull by the horn and effectively tackle this menace. I also think the other media agencies should emulate this and reemphasize on this ugly trend, so that all these culprits will be arrested and made to face the law. I keep reechoing and laying more emphatically on need to make gayism a death penalty offense. Nigeria is big disasterous country where an act will be enacted into law but implementation is zero. Police should step up and arrest these criminals and prosecute them. Foolish talk... Death penalty. But your politicians can steal your future and nothing will happen |
