grandstar: That is about a 4% differential in price. That is nothing. even the black market spreed between but and sell don't exceed 5 naira. even at this expensive price tag they have drive the Naira to we can't even get it for school fees. I have applied since May while others that applied since February are yet to get a dimn. We have started going for black market because its cheaper and accessible any time u want it |

grandstar: Oga those were the Buhari days. That's why the 3 different rates that exist now, the official rate, BDC rate and black markets rates have all merged. The Naira has been floated. There little room for that arbitrage now.
Today, I sold my dollars at 765 at the black market. Cbn rate was 758.
Where the money to be made now?
Buhari introduced the massive differential in exchange rates by meddling in it. Thank goodness he's gone. banks are making money. they are selling with wide spread margins while buying pounds for 967.0651 from cbn and selling at 1001. why 34naira spread instead of the usual 2 naira spread anything above 5 naira spread is much

yes this is the best time to buy shares in banks because they are really making money. imagine buying pounds @ 800 from cbn and selling 1000 |

I will like you to list cheap university. maybe like one or two. then how many percent do they normally require for deposit |

It appears you have not started up with the admission process. If that is the case, I doubt that 17M will get you to the finish line, from the very beginning.
The 17M I talked about was after paying tuition fee deposit, visa application fee and OSHC (Health insurance). wow ok how much is the deposit. |

Thank you so much, Jeffree. Please does it mean if I have 17 million In my account I could be granted visa? if yes which school in Australia. Please i need ur response |

penitential: Moving to Australia with 10M as a student is vey impossible, not with this present rate.
Because, your first semester tuition deposit (even with AL2 school) which is considered a cheap school, your minimum initial deposit can’t be less than 11,000Aud, which is around 6M approx. you’ll also have to show a financial statement of minimum 60,000Aud which is 31,800,000 to embassy for visa application.
So, except you have a sponsor that can give a statement of equivalent or more to 60,000Aud, that your amount can not fly processings to Australia.
This post is not to discourage you brother, I’m just being realistic with you.
I have two friends who dropped out of Australia pursuit because of this present rate. What about someone that has properties. like lands and houses and with 15 millions |

fuel subsidy gone dollar subsidy gone employment zero insecurity high after gathering the few money I have just to escape, I went to immigration to do a passport. those criminals charged me 80k to process it else I should wait till further notice and I finally got it @80k. then this year tinubu came and removed subsidy on dollars making payment of school fees, travelling expenses, proof of funds more expensive like times 2. I ran to black market to buy dollars because accessing it through banks form a takes almost a year now . I open dorm account and deposit the money.. bank said I can't send money abroad that the money must be earned outside I ran back to continue processing it through cbn form a instrument. which has been in process since 4 months now and some people have been there since 6 months and admission is almost ending. cbn through the bank said I have to wait till they get Dollars meanwhile just last month they asked us to pay for tax clearance TCC of almost 150,000 before we can access services from CBN excluding other charges of which we have all paid. how can a student pay for tax when he is not working? what are we even enjoying from the government again? no job, no benefits, hunger everyday. but they are quick to increase their salaries over 100%. the poor is no longer breathing oh.. we are suffocating |

most people japaing are going there for education that's it. and after education they will rather stay likely few years while some will stay back n proceed to do PhD program others will want to work make that money n invest right here in Nigeria.
the West have done so much, design their country to function. what has the government here done? they removed fuel subsidy on fuel, introduced tax on diesel, remove subsidy on dollars/fx and turn around to quickly double their salary over 120%.
We where expecting them to come up with ideas, form a committee and identify areas, framework on how to channel these money into education, health, and infrastructure across the country so as to create a multiplier effect on the economy.
a framework has to be put in place, an anti corruption framework has to be implemented to address state governments looting without doing anything while in power.
until then those who travelled under any means will hardly return |

Emefiele only carried instruction from his superior Buhari.
Today fuel is 550 and Dollar is now 750 while pounds 800 to 950 from banks through the recently devaluation through their Sloggish instruments while CBN wash their hands off dollars we are left in hands of banks to rip off . and not like they will debit u instantly with this high price, you still have to wait for months
Right now we cannot still access Dollars to pay schools fees . in fact its like things are now worst than when Buhari was in charge.
Even if you get the dollars, the bank will not likely debit you since its not inflow. Most people travelling to UK, US, AUS this year will not be able to make it from this new policy |

victorVIC1: Wow. I'm really grateful for your follow up messages on this. Unfortunately I couldn't follow up with them as I was away from Lagos for a while. I've visited the branch this morning. The bank officer couldn't connect to the trade platform due to network glitch but she assured me she will check in the afternoon and give me a call. If I don't hear from her by 2pm, I will go back again. Na me and them this week.
I got the email on the 24th of May and when i checked the tracker i saw it was on disbursement. Though they didn't deduct any charges from my account as other banks do. I just attached the TCC last week.
Another thing that raised a concern to me, the lady that attended to me said she's the one who approves Form A in the branch but she has not approved any for the past few months. Hence, she was surprised when I told her it's under disbursement.
Will udpate you anyway. What's up with yours? this bank in particular don't have crowd unlike uba and eco still yet they are slow. unity bank try pass them |
