Salaam brothers and sisters
My 16y/o daughter is asking for my permission to have her nose pierced. I have a mixed feeling about this, hence idon't know what to tell her, I asked her to give me a week to think about it, at the end of the one week, i still do not know what to say. Right now, i'm tipping to say yes but i'm wondering if it's 1) morally okay, and 2) islamically appropriate. What's your take on this?

IslamRe: Barka Juma'ah by FayeZik(f): 4:09am On Jan 23, 2010
Barka Juma'ah to u all.
I haven't been to Juma'ah in a long time (about a yr ago) due to my work sked. I feel very blessed and happy to be there today! I was actually sked to work (according to the master schedule), but somehow my name was omitted from the daily sked when i saw it last night. Of course I was pissed at 1st, then I shrugged it off and prayed that Allah bless whatever little paycheck I get, This morning, after Fajr, i suddenly realised that, yeah, i'm going to juma'ah!!!! Alhamdulillah.
The sermon was about taking care of your family - immediate family. I'm gonna try to request every other Friday, if not every Friday off.

I didn't get too much of the cane. Was too scared of beating, so i tried to be good. I would even cry when someone else is getting whipped. I swear, I hated it, hated it, soooooo much.

Nanai:
Salaam. A woman was fasting and just during magrib she felt her period. She wasn't sure, though and she had no access to the toilet until about 15 minutes later; and she saw the her period had infact started. The problem is she doesn't know when it started. It might have been during magrib or immediately after or even before. Should she make up for the fast? And what about the magrib prayer she missed? she's making up for ramadan.
She does not need to make up for the fast, since the period was not confirmed before magrib (the breaking of fast is at magrib).
And since we don't make up salats for the sake of periods, there is nothing to worry about regarding the magrib prayer.

My alfas will take care of this. Just trying.

Aunty e ku ojo meta o , how are the kids cheesy
Thanks Lagboy, alhamdulillahi, we are all doing fine. My regards to your family too.
I was directed to the thread where u are answering 'ifyalways' Qs about islam. Very interesting Qs and As, I am learning a lot. Allahuma Robbi sidna ilima. (Amin) .

Correct me if I'm wrong. Re: the waiting peiod (of either the divorce or death). The reason for the wait is to allow enuf time to make sure that the woman is not pregnant before the divorce/death . So that there will not be any story/rumor about legitimate/illegitimate child later on.

IslamRe: Beating In Islamic School by FayeZik(f): 3:24am On Jan 18, 2010
What about beating in schools, even in colleges, and especially merciless beating by parents, and adult family members.?

It's okay to punish an incorrrigible child by beating or other ways of discipline but can we please do it moderately instead of beating to permanently injure the child.

Any beating of children, in the name of teaching them to be good, that will leave the child with any kind of injury, no matter how small the injury, is an abuse and should not be allowed.

Nothing is greater than the Almighty Allah - the 'kun fa ya kun'. Don't give up, for He has not forgotten you!
When your heart feels heavy, and you can't even say your dua after your nafl, don't wory, Allah already know what your dua is about. Just do a lot of Istigfar, allahumo soli ala sayidina Mohammed, and Lailah ilah llah, round it up with hasbunallah wanimal wakeel. May Allah answer all our prayers.

I've been MIA for a couple of days. Now I hear that u are getting married. That's awesome! May God keep us beyond that day. Pls extend the IV, u never know, I may be able to sneek out of here to attend. Yes, the aqd nikkah validates the marriage in islam and if u so desire, u can round it up with the walimatul nikkah. May God bless both of you with many good children.

@Ayinba
It seems that matchmaking is ur hobby, ok now, your assignment is with our dear bros Jarus. May God guide u through it. I'm not joking o. While u are at it, don't forget my Lagosboy o.
