I know and dats what i was trying to explain. Dont worry your gonna be just fine! |
Thats a bug! Fix it! .lolol |
https://img683.imageshack.us/img683/566/screenshot20110902at012.png By options I meant the [a], [b]. . . . of the questions, the choices. |
:buggy => "THe registration page just returns n error! Cant see anything there. . " What option area? |
@OP its either you want to design or develop. Either way you gotta know both. If you want to design, then you gotta read stuffs on colors, images and some web optimisations. However, you gonna have to convert your design into raw html and css code. After that you might want to make some things work like a sortable portfolio, a nice slider, ajax driven forms and blah blah blah, However, the other way is a bit more obvious. If I design a website for you and say I convert my design into html and css. Now i hand it over to you and u start development. Somewhere along the line you need to change a small part of the design, what do you do(assumming am in space) ?? You go and pay some designer to help u out? Naaa because you already understand and know how to design, you would just DIY. So you see, design or development, you end up with both but put more focus on one(the one u love most)! |
You still need to work on the options, Its rowdy and not very friendly, the answers should probably be spanned or given special css definitions. Also, not sure your logout link works as i was able to stil access the pages after logging out and without login back in. I should't be able to see anything when i use the back button apart from the error message which should be "You must login to access this page" and not "Session timeout". You dont have to tell everyone how you log them out. . . Its "Previous Tests Taken" not "Previous Tests Taking" You registration form is buggy! Goodwork anyways! |
Thanks |
**pheewww** ddnt wnt to be the one to spoil the show! |
Hmmm is this thread going the wrong direction or am i too old ? So who is the next moderator? |
Aii, anyway goodluck! This is supposed to be in the #webmarket tho #JustSaying |
jossynene:Just 2 links worked and they were developed by different people ![]() |
Can you create a demo account for the purpose of viewing? Would be preferable rather than creating accounts! |
Send to those that are serious? really? All you have to do is drop a few links!. I still cant see the 'free' movement here. Why should i tel my friend to pay whatever because i want a website! A website that is going to be designed by someone dat cant prove him/herself to be legit! |
HAHhaha take it easy guys! Like I said, if you have an opensource project in mind, you cant immediately collaborate here(except if u meet in person). However, develop your idea practically to some working stage or something, then put ur stuff in a repo and see the amount of contributors you would get! |
***lips sealed*** |
dyoung:I doubt he has done any programming and think about it, someone that has done some programming would not ask such a question, its logical ![]() With regards to head first, if you are not good enough in procedural programming using Java, don''t use headfirst! You can write virtually any software without an OOP concept and Head first uses OOP from the very first page.lol I personally read head first for fun, their books are entertaining. I read their books when am underground or in some boring conference/meeting, Its not a book you should count on for thorough information |
My take is for you to study a programming language from the ground up.
I disagree, learn how to program and not the language. . Let the language just act as a medium!
i visit many programming challenges site and you will be surprised to find out that the best of programmers are not those who know java or c++ but those who can take advantage of the language they know to tackle any programming problem the encounter.
Which deviates towards what i wrote above! Thats only because they learnt how to program!
You can be very good in PHP but adding a language like C# or c++ or java to your knowledge base is cool.
I kinda disagree. You see, there are so many aspects of development be it web, game or whatever! Now if you wanna be a web developer, honestly speaking i see no reason why you should be buggin your self with C. If you think you have gotten to the stage where you are and 'advanced' web developer, learning C is fine. In general you are correct but your welcome to battle ma argument out ![]() |
abbyode:Are you kidding me? |
If you have read it, just briefly explain what anyone is gonna gain from reading it. BTW, you should check your file again, :error => "The file is suspected of illegal or copyrighted content." |
When you want to learn how to program, you learn how to program and not Java! Java is just more or less like a medium. . . If you just learn how to program with Java, then you become a programer that cant adapt. . If you learn how to program and use Java to test ur skills, if i giv you Ruby you should be able to work with it. Your only problem should be syntax! |
So yu have 2 accounts? lol What is your other username? |
Hmm i see, If you have the resources to develop websitessssss for free, then you must have done a lot of pretty good works! How about some links, At least 5 ![]() Dats just a forst thought! What exactly is free here when theres some fishy 20k somewhere there |
@poster there cant be a best programmer not only on nairaland but world wide, programmers are of different dimensions and categories, in different fields. so you cant get what u are looking for.
I was thinkin i was the only one that had that in mind! |
SCAM!!!! Do you know that if you make such money, you wouldnt post it here! |
amankumar:Re-phrase ur question! |
yh it is, Trust me you dont wanna start with it. What you need is a complete beginners. FOrget about the description, open the book itself and read the first few lines of xxii. Without you with some experience of programming, that book is gonna be trash to you and also you would just tag programming "difficult". Reading the first few chapters alone shud tell you that it aint for beginners! It goes straight into OOP! That aint no beginners book. . . . |
Head first is not advised for beginners! |
hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahah DHTML baned again, lmaooo |
Hahhahahahahahaha lmaooooooooo looooool hehehehehehehehhe |
true |
Hmmmmmm |
