Here is another version:

students = array_to_hold_students
options = array_to_hold_types_of_iceream_available
boolean done = true or false if there is a next question

questions = array_to_hold_questions,
result = map_to_hold_questions_and_their_answers

while done is_false
choose question_random_number
select a question at random using the question_random_number

Output: Print out question

generate student_random_number
select a student at random using student_random_number

Input: retrieve answer to question
boolean valid = validate_input(answer)

if valid is_true
save the question and answer into the map

Input: true or false(whether or not the program should re-run)

if input is true
done is_true
goto: 8
else if input is_false
Output: Bye message
exit program

function boolean validate_input(answer)
for each option
if answer is an option
return true

return false

Sent you an initial email: my first shot;
students = array_to_hold_students
options = array_to_hold_options
boolean done = true or false if there is a next question

questions = array_to_hold_questions,
result = map_to_hold_questions_and_their_answers

while done is_false
choose question_random_number
select a question at random using the question_random_number
Output: Print out question
Input: retrieve answer to question
save the question and answer into the map

Input: true or false(whether or not the program should re-run)

if input is true
done is_true
goto: 8
else if input is_false
Output: Bye message
exit program
There is a lot i havent considered but am just giving you this so you can start doing something yourself. Would post another version in bout 10 minutes. also, you can make it more ~'pseudo-codeish'

What you are talking about is an intranet. Thats where we(mostly every sch in the UK) download course notes, view marks, module pages, timetables and so on. We call it the EECS intranet. There's also something else call a blackboard but mainly used by art and social science students. It has a very high security and blah blah blah.

They wont take the game seriously? Hahaha funny, if you are able to implement something like that here in my sch theres no doubt your geeting an A. Its COMPLICATED but interesting. You have to develop an AI which is kinda like the hardest part. An AI that doesnt loose and in different stages like you have in PES. Your work also has to be neat with a tutorial version of the game(a version that teaches someone interactively how to play).

Anyways you dont seem to have made u your mind.

Can I convince you to try a game out? Say a checkers game! Anyways if you wanna develop something ur sch can steal from you then is a grading system good enough a project?

Lecturers just input their marks and it calculates avarages, sorts, produces graphs(still goin back to graphics) and even create a report sheet or rather all the report sheets!

Personally, nothing can distract moi! But reading these factors, I kinda now understand why I see some kinda questions on this forum. I ask a question and it becomes an assignment for me?? Lmaooooooo. Now dats crazy!

Am yet to see people writing parsers or utilities! Its all just maths and apps apps apps. You are probably right because I can't survive 12hrs a day without seeing my Mac and using it, it wud get worse if I see it but can't use it because of electricity.

Untill Nigeria's lectricity is fixed, I dnt see my self going there!

Not withstanding, you must also know that I built my first 2 websites in Nigeria, first one wen I was 7 and second one when I was 10(tho I used Ages 3yrs older on the sites). I learnt html then and a bit of css. So there's no much of a 'jand factor' working here!

okeyxyz:
fayimora, u seem to have a habit of jumping at the slightest of opportunities to threaten people on this forum from engaging in free discourse. i have come upon this posturings of yours on several occasions and it's really annoying, all in the name of moderating.
This is not moderating, it's bullying, and abuse of position
.
For someone who lives in the UK, i'd expect you to know how to temper your language.
pls moderate your manner of speech(typing).
This is the first thread that am actually warning before hand. You probably want to check other threads before saying anything! There is a great difference between free discussion and fighting/insulting and I was told to lock threads that that dont abide. Also you have posted this wrongly and am gonna have to delete your post as its completely off topic! You should know that u rarely see a mod on NL that actually warns! They just do their jobs without questions.

Programming › Re: What To Do When Your Confused And Coding Just Doesn't Feel Like Fun Anymore! by Fayimora(m): 1:32pm On Aug 26, 2011
Things i knw about Java, hmmm dont know how to answer that. Would just say A LOT! Web stuffs you mean JSP/JSF or web entirely?

Yeah Its very easy to have a diverted attention. However, you can overcome it. Just sit down and think of what exactly it is you need/ want to do. That way you would be able to face something.

Webmasters › Re: Php Help! Urgent by Fayimora(m): 11:11am On Aug 26, 2011
hahaha. I think we should start using Gist or pastebin or pastie for code now cause NL doesn't have a SH. Moving this to the webmasters section!
Webmasters › Re: Coldfusion Programmers In Nigeria by Fayimora(m): 11:07am On Aug 26, 2011

Yh i knw. . .Erryone calls me a geek! You might not be interested in web design but you HAVE to know it. Event driven development takes that into consideration. Say for instance you want to animate some colors on a div tag with Javascript, if you can't design then what do you do? Pay someone? lol Just learn it all and then focus more on the development, how the site works. .

Java is kinda like my primary language also. Am not a ful time web developer. Just a student packaging as much knowledge as possible! I just do anything web for the fun of it. .

Seems no one has an idea! I personally gat nothing. Moving this to the webmasters section now!But just to be clear, you want to develop a site where people can look up the availability of domain names right?

Its not a 'jand' factor. I schooled for 6yrs in Nigeria.

Oh my site. lol. It was just a bday gift to myself. Yeah I used PHP for server side, however I would redesign next year in Rails. The site is not really complete tho, been really busy with some stuff!

Programming › Re: What To Do When Your Confused And Coding Just Doesn't Feel Like Fun Anymore! by Fayimora(m): 10:03am On Aug 26, 2011
Are you sure you are programming because you want to? Am not trying to scarp you but if you program because you want to or because you like it or because you want the knowledge, you aren't going to fall into such situations. However, programming because a lot of people do it or because there is money in it or because you just want to be like someone isn't a good idea.

When I program/develop, am completely in my own world. Everything seems like my creation while am the God. Now thats cause am only programming because its something I always want to do. Its not just writing code to work, you need to love the code. If you see it as a slut then f&%k it.lol.

Every challenge should be a blessing o you. If you ever get to that point where you feel programming isn't fun because you get confused on something, think again.

Well you are right! But do you really want to be held responsible for 'damaging' someone's computer?, And to worsen the case, you cant see it(the computer) physically so fixing it is a pain!
Programming › Re: How To Set Java Classpath Variables by Fayimora(m): 1:27am On Aug 26, 2011
Its stil not a good idea for a beginner to start messing around with stuffs(environment variables) he doesn't even understand. God knows how many systems(frm my course mates) I have had to fix because they messed with those variables. A simple install of the JRE and JDK is enough for compiling java source files.

However, if your system is not satisfied with that, then there are lot of thing to consider. Some systems use Program Files(x86) and some use Program Files as the directory for Java. Thats just the most common one and if you look at the link you posted, it uses Program Files. You can also see cases where the system has multiple versions of Java installed.

These small things must be taken into consideration and in most cases you only see people asking such questions when they have read some article and messed with their environment variables and then unable to fix it.
Programming › Re: How To Set Java Classpath Variables by Fayimora(m): 11:12pm On Aug 25, 2011
Honestly speaking, you dont wanna mess with your environment variables. Just install the JRE and JDK and compile.
