Firstly, re-run it and add tis at the top of your file:

   error_reporting(1);

Also try sending an ordinary mail. I mean something like:

<?php
      $to      = 'nobody@example.com';
      $subject = 'the subject';
      $message = 'This is the message';
      $headers = 'From: webmaster@example.com' . "\r\n" .
                        'Reply-To: webmaster@example.com' . "\r\n";

       mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
?>

Just run something like that on a php file to make sure you can actually send mails,  All am trying to do is narrow down the problem. If that doesn't work then you dont have your mail port working properly. If true that what host you using, Apache with XAMPP? Then you need to configure a few lines in your http.conf

dd u really have to write out those statements when you could just use phpmyadmin ?

Back to the problem. I think  MySql is unable to create tables having a foreign key on a table that is also being used as a foreign key in different table. Aint gonna read dat stuff so check if you are doing that! I solved this for someone on a forum and now i cant even remember the forum. Am sure it has to do with foreign keys tho,
Programming › Re: C++ Vs. Java by Fayimora(m): 9:37pm On Aug 17, 2011
If you are gonna learn both then I must tell you something. Don't start learning Java and when learning C++, you try to program the Java way or vice versa. You should learn how to program! Every language has something interesting about it so its good you explore those features. Say you start learning C++ and you get to functions where you decide to give it a break and start learning Java. Dont say because you have learnt variables in C++ so you wont read it in a Java book or tutorial. Thats bad and you are gonna regret it badly!

I just hope you understood what i was tryna say here!

Programming › Re: How To Make Money With Opensource by Fayimora(m): 2:04pm On Aug 17, 2011
You dont make profit from opensource. Thats why its opensource(FREE!). You have given them(users) to use, edit and re-distribute your product. However there are a few workarounds. You can make your software opensource at first but upgrades are offered at a small price. Also, you can make a lil bit from your software's pluggins. The most popular way is donation!. You just do you work well and trust me, you would feel like you are paid weekly from the donations you would receive.

However, I must still warn you dat making you project opensource means you aren't expecting any profit from it. In essence, you are only happy with the fact that people are enjoying your service!

I have been looking at sqlite as an alternative to mysql, but I have never used it before. I could not find out which SQL standard is supported and to what extent. It would be a lot neater if we could use it.
I use sqlite with Ruby on Rails. I still would advice we stick to MySql.Just for standards!

Programming › Re: C++ Vs. Java by Fayimora(m): 12:32pm On Aug 17, 2011
This is gonna end up in some sorta argument. I just have 4 words,  Figure it  out yourself,  Every programer has what(language) he/she likes so asking such a question is a bit futile.

Have a look at these:
Computer Programming --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming
Programming language -->  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming_languages
C++  --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%2B%2B
Java  --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_(programming_language)

If you are serious enough you should have time to read even beyond. From there onwards you would know what you want.

Good luck.

NB: The moment an argument starts, am gonna have to lock this thread! Sorry!
Programming › Re: Chattabox - A Bluetooth Chat Application - Your Reviews by Fayimora(m): 4:18pm On Aug 16, 2011

Firstly, I think you should have released a free version first. By free version I mean the same app with 60-80% of main features disabled!

Secondly, how about a video demonstration to show that the app is legit and actually working? The main features must be demonstrated in this tutorial.  BTW, am not saying you aren't legit, just an opinion to keep you on the safe side.

Thirdly, you do not have a 'reviews' section. When users use your app, you should give them the opportunity to place a review. That should be on your website right below the download button.  Also, you should not allow users who havent purchased the app to add reviews. Thats the only way you can receive the right reviews. You don't wanna have to be reading crap from haters.

Fourthly, Try not to leave un-updated/non-functional/un-kept/un-used pages lying around on the site. Its better you display an under construction message(on that page) or you dont even show a link to it or redirect any access to 404.

On a fifth note, I dont know how it works in Nigeria but contact us with mobile numberssss? Really? Sounds awful to me! If you don't have a company number I would advice you stick to contact forms and emails. On a worse note, you should have just 1 mobile number which would be open only during working hours. Again, am not sure how it works in Nigeria but that shows how serious and legit you are. I think the right sentence to use is "You are underselling yourself by giving them private details" cheesy.

Finally, sorry I dont have feedback on the app itself. I just cant get pass the screen below(image below).

Programming › Re: Programming Projects (individual) by Fayimora(op): 3:20pm On Aug 16, 2011
Yeah Yall are free to go on. If you think they are too difficult then amma write much easier projects for absolute beginners. However, if you have studied the OOP part of Java then you should all be able to tackle these projects.

Please note that you might have to read up bits of some extra advanced concepts to tackle some parts of those projects, not necessarily all of them tho.

Good luck!

Hey guys please can anyone recommend a good MacOSX compatible C/C++ compiler. Am getting tired of typing long syntax via the Terminal. For now am gonna start using Netbeans but I would prefer an actual dedicated compiler.

Thanks in advance!

There is hardly anyone with problems in this section! You hardly see people having trouble with assignment. You cant blame them!

@OP
Dividing this section into 2 smaller sections is just as good as encouraging those stuffs. The best thing would be to create a single thread and stick it. I am not allowed to delete those topics or would I say its a Nairaland policy so thats why you see them.

Programming › Re: I Hereby Conjure All Programming Wizards On This Forum To This Coding Challenge by Fayimora(m): 6:25pm On Aug 12, 2011
Hmmm lets make it a bit interesting. Thats way too easy. Running the 3n+1 game on 13 produces 10 numbers. Those 10 numbers are referred to the cycle length of 13.

OK now back to the question, let i and j be 2 numbers on a line.

The Input
The input will consist of a series of pairs of integers i and j, one pair of integers per line. All integers will be less than 1,000,000 and greater than 0.
You should process all pairs of integers and for each pair determine the maximum cycle length over all integers between and including i and j.
You can assume that no operation overflows a 32-bit integer.

The Output
For each pair of input integers i and j you should output i, j, and the maximum cycle length for integers between and including i and j. These three numbers should be separated by at least one space with all three numbers on one line and with one line of output for each line of input. The integers i and j must appear in the output in the same order in which they appeared in the input and should be followed by the maximum cycle length (on the same line).

So if you have input as;
1 10
100 200

the output should be;
1 10 20
100 200 125

Now thats betta, I expect the OP to be the first to solve it. cheesy

Is there some sort of source code? How can the game be modified?
Depends on how it was created, if a game engine was used then you nee the project file.

If you used Unity3D, upload your project file, might be able to help.
