BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Nna mehnnnnnnnnn! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa |
Chelsea goal: Our match reporter just claimed that Ashley Cole scored a goal that Dennis Bergkamp would have been proud of, and I laughed in his face. Well he's right. He shows a stunning touch to bring down John Terry's long ball just inside the penalty area down the left, wonderfully turns inside a defender to leave him flummoxed on the floor and he majestically dinks it over Marton Fulop. It's the 16th goal of his career, and better than all the others put together. Stunning. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/8462281.stm |
What a clever touch, play and goal from Ashley. CLASSSSSSSS!!! And that was a super pass from JT! |

^^^ I am not asking for the link the writer posted. Please, be kind enough to provide the link for the thread/post you said you created. . .the one you said was the same as posted here!? Thanks. |
Andre Uweh:My dear Sir, kindly provide a link for me to link the two together if indeed they are the same. @topic, I only want to see if Amodu will react to this. Yakubu directly blamed Amodu for using 4 DMs. |
Interesting Second half. . . CIV -> Q/Finals. Kudos to the young starlets of Ghana. They gave their all. |
@Eastbay, padi mi, ki lon se le? ![]() @Topic Amodu knows best. And I cannot understand why he couldn't pick a single home based player. I'm trying to do a research see they are such teams as ours in this tourney. It's beats me as to why a coach will deliberately want to fail and I'm hoping he is not one of those. I won't castigate him. . .not just yet. ![]() |

Yakubu hits back at critics Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has lashed out at critics who have questioned his place in the Nigeria team at the Africa Cup of Nations. Yakubu rounded on his critics after Nigeria‘s 3-1 opening defeat to Egypt, insisting that the entire team did not play well in Tuesday‘s Group C opener in Benguela. The striker failed in every aspect of the game with no shot at goal throughout the duration of the match, prompting followers of the game to wonder why the coach allowed him to complete the match. He was so heavy and unable to run or win balls for the team. ”I have always given my best to Nigeria, I am one of the best strikers in the country and my record is there for all to see,” AFP quoted Yakubu, who was sidelined for most of last year with an achilles tendon injury, as saying on Thursday. ”But when you have four, five defensive midfielders in the team who can‘t get the ball over to the strikers, what can you do? We do not have a (Austin) ‘Jay Jay‘ Okocha or a Sunday Oliseh. ”We have been struggling in most of our games because we do not have a creative midfielder, which is not the case, for instance, at my club, where there are players who can create openings for the strikers. “It has been really very difficult for us and even the best strikers in the world would struggle in such a team.” There have been suggestions that he is higher in the striking pecking order as a result of his closeness to coach Shaibu Amodu. ”We all want to play coach and so everyone wants to pick the team,” he countered. ”But it is there for everybody to see that I have also enjoyed a good run with the coaches before Amodu simply because I‘m good enough to be in the team.” The Everton forward said despite the team‘s shortcomings he was confident the Eagles would now put behind them the 3-1 reversal they suffered at the hands of the defending champions by beating Benin on Saturday. ”Obviously, we were all very disappointed to have lost that game. ”We started well in the first 25, 30 minutes, but as soon as they drew level, we failed to defend well and eventually lost to a better team. ”We now have to focus on the next game, go out there and give our best to beat Benin.” Tuesday‘s loss has also placed a question mark over Amodu‘s future and an early Nations Cup exit could see him being replaced in time for the World Cup. http://punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art201001152303198 ---- I no fit shout! ![]() |

Easy guys. . .Early days yet. The next match will decide. |
Gabon played and defended like LIONS!!! Their keeper made WORLD CLASS SAVES!!! Brilliant!!! |
This edition of ANC is simply ROCKING!!! and I hope it will continue into the FINAL match. |
@Nateevs, Thanks a million for the information. I thought the FA Cup against NF was tonight? |
@chidyke77 It's all good. Apologies accepted. It's very nice to know that we have very matured minds here on NL. Thanks. |
ochukoccna:Fight ke? Nah bros. I'm just tired of repeating the same thing over and over again. But well it's all good. Let us all hope they play better against Benin and in subsequent matches. |
@OP, First I think you don't talk to a lady like that. She was trying to establish the FACTS. Something you have failed to provide. That said, it will be very nice of you not to accuse me or anyone falsely again without proper proof. Now that you have rested your "case" (not that you had any ) I will also let it slide. ![]() You can try to still apologise sha 'cos your first post was to put it lightly terrible. ![]() |
ochukoccna:Highlights ko, highrise ni. . .my guy just free my side. Thanks. |
HNIC:Yes Bruv I'm glad some of us agree that it is early days and if we expect to see changes then we should expect someone will implement them. We cannot be hitting the same spot and expect a different reaction. ALL them boys need to WAKE UP! No one is excluded. The fire and discipline in them went off after 30 mins of play. Not good enough IMO. As regards Mikel, I agree to disagree . He is no longer the Mikel of 2005 (And this is my personal and only beef with JM. . .not many may agree though). He clearly needs to step up but of the 3 DMs yesterday he was the "best" IMO. Subbing him is not really the issue but for Kanu? haba. . . What was Yak doing on the pitch? He was clearly out of shape! Etuhu nko? Yusuf nko? Obasi was on fire yesterday. Not just the goal. He kept tracking back to help the RB. Lovely display. |
Does my bum look big in this? 'It better be, because it's good for your health When a woman asks: 'Does my bum look big in this?' she should hope the answer is yes, according to health experts. That's because having a big bottom is good for your health - or at least better than having a big tummy. Studies show that having a generous rear end and thighs, rather than a pot belly, cuts levels of 'bad' cholesterol and raises levels of the 'good' cholesterol that protect against hardening of the arteries. It also cuts the risk of diabetes, a review in the International Journal of Obesity reports. The findings add to a welter of research on the benefits of having a pear-shaped body. Just as the topic indicates. . .the journey is still very so far! ![]() |
tkb417:hehehe. . . I think I have done just that by categorically telling him that I did not. I no sabi the guy and neither do I know what he is talking about. The last time I deleted a post was last year during this FIFA U-17 tourney age debate issue and if you remember clearly I did warn everyone before doing so. After that nah. . .not me. Besides, the way the guy just started calling names. . .check out his first post! At least if in doubt he could have asked normally. You know very well not everyone will take that. . .thus I asked for an apology. ![]() |
OSAZE RESUMES TRAINING There is some cheering news for Nigerian fans to temper the pain of Tuesday’s 3-1 thrashing by Egypt with the return of Osaze Odemwingie to training earlier that day. The Lokomotiv Moscow forward has been down with an infection since playing against Thanda Royal Zulu in a tune-up game and missed both the 0-0 draw in a friendly against Zambia, and the beating handed down by Egypt. But Media Officer Idah Peterside says the effervescent striker is back kicking a ball: “Osaze resumed training on Tuesday morning, and we expect him to be fit for our second match against Benin,” Peterside tells KickOffNigeria.com. However, that prognosis appears to be overly optimistic, as the best case scenario is that the player may only be good enough for a substitute appearance. The Russian league ended last November, and the player has not kicked a ball in competition since playing and scoring against Khimki on November 29. http://www.kickoff.com/static/news/article.php?id=13283 |
Well I can tell you for a fact that you accused me wrongly and as such I demand an apology from you for calling names. Do this first then we can settle whatever it is you have against me but trust me, we will get to the bottom of it. Think about it, do I know you? What business do I have with your username or any other person's for that matter? Kindly ask here on NL Sports board and I don't think anyone will say anything bad about me. I'm not boasting. . .just saying it like it is. I stand nothing to gain by deleting posts and even if I have to, I, would have warned the parties involved. |
