If babies can start taking cow milk from 1 year, then why do different formula brands have stage 3 which is supposed to be from 12 months and above?

I think it's extra fortified esp if your child is not eating very well. Those milk will provide the necessary minerals

For yoghurt, gerber yoghurt. I also buy one from Spar, it's 6 in 1 , can't remember the name

Cold turkey is never the best. Sorry dear, you will start feeling better the 3rd day. Just take the ibuprofen twice daily and wear a good supportive bra. It will soon pass. Sorry you hear.

Madam fe...ddy27,sorry about the pain ,I don't have experience on this but for baby feddy she will get use to it after two or three nights. I have weaned my Dd about 2weeks ago as I couldn't continue with pregnancy n breastfeeding, she is eating all types of adult solid food, with pap and Nan.I started giving her plenty pap before sleeping, when she wakes up I give a little pap n she sleeps back, though she cried for some nights as she would still want breast even after the pap,but she eventually got use to it,in fact she no longer wake at night once she well fed before going to bed.If baby feddy is accepting solid food n cereal, try n feed her well at night. Sorry for the pain.

Mehn! Nobody told me weaning off the breast is freaking painful


So ytday I decided to stop breastfeeding both babies and applied 'stop and grow ' on my nips (stop n grow is like nail polish used to prevent kids from sucking their fingers). My son came , tested and screamed ' mum your breast is bitter' and he kept spitting. He told his sister that 'mum's breast is bitter, don't suck' but what does she know! She also came and experienced it herself and started spitting too.


We couldn't sleep all through the night.she kept crying! Her brother has accepted it And requested for tea at night

Right now, I'm going through so much pains! I have cabbage in my bra, I've taken ibuprofen but the pain is still there . I'm feeling frustrated already !!!!


Those that weaned,how did you cope? My gran says this cold turkey approach is not the best

He's not getting enough of the hind milk. Ensure he empties one breast before you switch to the next

I think there is nothing wrong with your son. Kids that age can make so much progress in milestones within a month. A child can go from saying just one word at 20 months to saying 10 words at 23 months. My son is about 2-3 weeks older than yours and I know where he is speech wise now compared to where he was at 16 months.

Hi mamas longest time, how are ur los doing? Aunty Flow knocked me down since oh. Since I have never had this kind of heavy flow in my life, Even DH pitied me (changed pad every 2hrs with intermittent annoying cramps)
My dear son clocked 6months a week ago, Introduced Aptamil and pap and he took it, we have been EBF but he eats little per time. Gave him gerber cereal this night and the guy enjoyed himself. I'm so grateful to God

Pls if u are having issues with diaper pls try Asda little angel( this diaper is Epic, super dry). God bless the mama that mentioned it.

O dear, thanks for checking up on me. Pele, first flows are often very heavy that you will think something else is wrong. Good to know your baby is doing well

DH was watching a match last saturday and my dd crawled to the decoder and just yanked it out and started laughing....DH just weak immediately but who e wan vex for na? an 8-month old tata?
I kuku joined her to laugh cos when she was crawling towards the decoder, I asked him to carry her away and he refused saying that he wanted her to exercise her muscles small

Mamas good morning. My baby has been throwing up since every fees yesterday evening because someone fed her ice cream yesterday. Ice-fucking-cream! Who Does that? Who feeds a 5week old baby Ice cream? My 47years old Sister in law that you expect would know better. I'm literally shaking as I'm remembering this. Now my baby is throwing up at every feed. She throws up every thing she is fed and starts crying and then I have to feed her again and she throws up and starts crying. This is how it has been since last night. We would do n go to the hospital, just waiting for hubby to come and pick us up but she has managed to sleep and I'm wondering if anybody has any remedy for me.

spiceeamiee, how is your baby now? Pls don't let anyone to blackmail you emotionally! At her age, she does not know what is good for a baby!!! It has nothing to do with her TTCing... when your baby is good and all well, clear the air and tell her you have nothing against her, you only addressed the situation at hand. You don't owe her any apology! If she's not matured enough to understand how you felt and the stress of taking care of a sick child, you also shouldn't care about how she feels!

Please take care of your baby and remain protective cos if anything goes wrong, no one bears the burden with you

Mamas that had one gender in first pregnancy and had another gender in the second pregnancy, please how did prepare for the second baby ? How did you do your second shopping especially in terms of clothings and the likes especially when you are on low budget?

I have about 8weeks to go and I have not gotten anything for the new baby. First was a boy and this one is a girl....so am worried....Am feeling so bad that I am so unprepared for my daughter.....plus am confused too...

don't beat yourself... you can reuse her brother's onesies for her.. The 1st three months, you don't need soo much. Don't feel bad about preparedness, it happens to everyone. You can use same soap, cream for them, only different diaper sizes.

sorry about your baby.. it's difficult dealing with a sick child. The most common illnesses in that age is tonsillitis and ear infection. I'm sure they know what they are doing. He will be fine.
