I think I need to share this to help alot of mama

O dear, this post just brought me out...sorry about your baby

Talking of iron levels, my daughter had same issues at some point.

Now, if you are not actively breastfeeding, you need to give a formula that has high/good iron content.

I noticed most of our "local" formulas don't have enough iron, at a point, I almost regretted why I didn't give similac like I did for my son but I waved it off.

To solve the issue, my doctor asked that I included iron containing foods to her meals. I was advised to increase intake of soybean, liver, egg yolk, crayfish. I was also told to add a spoon of palm oil to her meals. So, I ensured that I also added palm oil to her pap.

3 months after now, she's perfectly ok and no such issues again. Also, look for Reload Multivite. It did a good job for us.

Now, she eats everything so her meals are lot varied.

For example, after cooking Tom brown or mixa grain and I mixed it with formula and you know that formula can be used within one hour, please can I still give her the mix grain? Put formula at the time of feeding and discard whatever remains.

They are just ignorant set of people! Every child is entitled to only 1 birth certificate issued at the place of birth! He does not need a Nigerian birth cert cos the info on it will be false

Must it be 6 month..My baby's immunization card says 9 month. I'm confused cos few pple I asked says it is usually taken at 6 month.

6 months was the time scheduled for it on my daughter's card but we took it at 9months

I've always wanted to talk to us about education insurance but tiredness to type.

For bank accounts, don't expect much. I use Gtb and first bank for my kids. I had to close my son's Diamond bank acct when they kept pestering me to get a Nigerian birth certificate which I didn't see right to get.

Go ahead, open a bank account but also endeavor to get an education insurance

XX01, finally finished reading your story. Thank God your son is safe. Too many wicked people out there.

I would like to share some things that will help in handling nannies

1. If you have to leave your baby with them, please minimize or completely eradicate house work the period you are away. Truth is that, it's difficult to take care of a baby and do house work at the same time if you need absolute care for the child. My principle is this: do chores only when I'm around.

2. Most times, if you can afford it, have a maid and a nanny. Nanny focuses on your child, maid does house chores. Your maid can be live-in, while nanny is come and go.

3. if you have a trusted family, they can stay there together so you have an extra pair of eyes watching over them. for me, I normally drop off my baby and her nanny at my grandma's house. if she's going out, she goes with them.

4. From experience, I have come to understand that the older nannies takes care of babies better. They have empathy more than the young girls. I've had several young girls until I said no more and decided to look for a widow. Using an older nanny has been my best decision ever. My daughter is receiving more care than my son when he was her age and handled by young nannies.

5. After the day's job, try and spend time with your children. One way I bond with my children is to give them a bath myself. I do it morning and night. Only I and hubby bathes our children. It gives me a chance to take a close look at their bodies and know when things are going wrong.

May God give us wisdom to handle our children, the home front, business and our careers.

I dey o... I use shea butter + oils(olive oil, argan oil). Also don't make any hair style that stresses the frontline. I don't also comb my daughter's hair daily cos I want to retain length. I use my hand to do it after bathing.

Also I just saw it that babies cereal at 6months shouldn't be given with feeding bottles but plate. I beg make una put mouth

Pillows could lead to SID so it's advisable to avoid them.

For cereals, if bottle works for you at the beginning, fine. The reason it is discouraged is because it interferes with teeth development and some dental stories . Keep trying with spoon, baby will get used to it
