Madam, pls don't! Black soap is too harsh for baby's tender skin. Use baby products like cussons, pears, etc.

As for ori, some people use it. Personally, I prefer vaseline with baby oil.

@feddy27 thks ma. He actually prescribe d progestrone pill for me wen I explained my history to him. Have been using it since week 4 but it finished and hospital pharmacy does not have in stock again. I didn't get d pill in every pharmacy I checked so he tld me d pill and cyclogest are doing same work. He also said a pregnancy dat is not going to be vaible progestrone won't hlp it. He wanted to stop it for me dis week 6 but since I started is gud I take it thru dis trimester.

How do you mean "spitting from the nose" ? stop whatever you are doing and wait it out to see if there will be any improvement. If not, see a paediatrician

Do not clean with anything! The mouth has natural flora that automatically keeps it fresh. One week old baby is still very new na, what will be there to clean..lol

Better still, if you must clean, wait till baby is lot older and use water and baby's washcloth.

@mompurity thks ma. Dat means I have to pay d lady balance for d cyclogest kai God provide oh. I wil stop dis cyclogest early oh cause I can't afford dat amount or I wil change to 200mg. I don't even knw if I need d progestrone sef just taking it as preventive measure due to the last history of MC.

STOP SELF MEDICATION ! Seek your doctor's advise before usage. He needs to evaluate your last MC and tell you what to do to prevent/stop a repeat.

1) did Dr f accept all ur nigerian lab results? Cos from ur breakdown u spent at 260 for lab which I think is good.

2) am also high risk preggy, is that why baby was in nicu for 3 days? Or all babies are just taken there for routine?

NICU is not the same as NICS. NICS is the group of neonatal/paediatric doctors that attend to the baby at birth.

Yeah, breast pads help. If you can get the Lansinoh brand, they are even better than Tommie tippee, I didn't buy mine on konga but I know some sellers have for sale. Used them when I was breastfeeding my daughter, going out without breastpads was like telling the world 'hey come and see leaky boobs', especially the first three months Lol.

Same dear, I couldn't imagine goin out without breast pads.

Iyabetajos, pack of 100 is more economical. I used to buy tommee tippee x100 for 3k, x50 for 2k.

They also av reusable and washable ones. Av u tot of the breast milk stain gettin to ur cloth and embarrassing you in public? Avin numerous bras does not solve dat problem. Again, there's no issue of wastage. It's lik sayin use of diaper is a waste.

Ahnie, you don't need '13' bras...lol. get disposable breast pads. Mommies to be, pls add that to your list. Very important and handy

Zaynie I agree with you. I remember being totally shocked by all I pains I experienced post CS as per FTM. all the birth stories I read here prior to then never mentioned the CS recovery phase so I was totally unprepared mentally for it which was why when I posted my birth story it was really long and I narrated my experience both pre and post delivery so that other mums will learn.

Feddy27, I also agree with you in finding out the root cause. I delivered through emergency CS and after I was all settled, I sat down to analyse what could have been done differently to prevent such from happening because I had a relatively smooth pregnancy.

My mum was furious that I was allowed to get to 40 weeks and she couldn't understand why I wasn't induced. She is of the opinion that the longer the pregnancy, the higher the risks so by week 38/39, baby should be out.

In my own opinion, I wish I had just checked myself into the hospital earlier. I mistook contractions for constipation as per JJC I was "constipated" for about 2days before I checked myself in at the hospital. I was thinking it wasn't my EDD yet so no rush. Maybe if I had gotten to the hospital earlier, my baby would not have been distressed to require an intervention.

Most importantly, we should listen to our doctors and also study our baby's movements. If kicking/movements are reduced at any time, please do not hesitate to go to the hospital for immediate checks and monitoring.

Induction, CS, forceps delivery, vaginal delivery - it doesn't matter. All that matters is baby alive, mother alive.

This is the learning for all of us! Thanks love for your contribution

@Gaily04 @feddy27, and other PH mamas. I can't remember who exactly recommended Sterling specialist hospital @king jaja PH to me. Pls if u did or u knw someone who has used the place, I have some questions to ask as I am abt to register there for ANC and delivery.

I don't have first hand information on them as I have never used them but I heard they are good.

Ambient, I'm also a PH mama. What hospital are you using and who is ur doctor? U deserve every right to know the outcome of each clinic visit

zaynie, I used the induction as one out of the many ways they can receive help. I'm not saying it must be, the bottom line is to have an open mind. It is well with all of us, God will not allow affliction to arise a second time.

I join my faith with yours also to say no more losses on this thread. Amen
