mitchyy, take a glass of warm milk for the heart burn. |
icoral, joniboi, refemiguwa.... I'm glad you understood my thoughts ![]() Whatever is avoidable, let's try to avoid it. @All, again when certain things happen like miscarriage, loss of a newborn, bleeding in pregnancy etc, let's endeavor to always know the root cause! This will help us make informed decisions and avoid reoccurrence. Ask your doctor what are the likely causes and how to prevent it from happening again. My heart bleeds for all these losses cos probably because I'm a safety person and even 1 fatality is a lot to us so I find it hard to deal with these looses. Let's also share experiences so others can learn from it. To everyone on this thread, let our goal be ZERO FATALITY, SAFE DELIVERY, MOTHER ALIVE, BABY ALIVE, FATHER ALIVE + Plenty money to take care of ourselves! |
blessedtwins:My dear, I can relate. God really makes it to end in praise babythug:babythug, I acknowledge the hand of God full time but most times, some mothers can be stubborn! It's painful when avoidable deaths occur. |
Congratulations to Anak123 & bee2bee on the arrival of your bundles of joy. A big welcome to them and may God keep and protect them. Pocahuntaz (e-hugs) It is well with you. God will replace that which you have lost. JUST AN ADVISE FROM ME It is important we LEARN FROM INCIDENTS i.e. what has happened to others so that we don't have a repeat of such cases here. Especially first time mums! Please learn to trust your doctor. It has a way of making delivery easy for you. Besides, you have never had a baby so when certain options are open to you, ask question and ensure to do whatever will save your life and that of your baby! Let me share my story, I had an uneventful pregnancy; no sickness whatsoever. When I got to 37 weeks, my doctor explained alot to me and asked me if I would like him to help me if I get to 39 weeks and labor does not come on its own. My dear, I had an open mind and I told him do anything that will make me and baby safe and sound. To cut the story short, I was prebooked for induction. I got to 39wks, no labor so I carried myself to the hospital and in 24hrs, I had my baby in my arms ! I really don't know what labor pains were cos i opted for pain relieve (epidural), labor progressed speedily cos I was not stressed and all. The lesson here is this: The longer you stay, the more tension starts to build. Also, remember that the nutrients in your system is also diminishing and as such you baby starts getting distressed. I made up my mind for a CS should anything go wrong. it doesn't matter what means the baby came out thru, what we are interested in is MOTHER ALIVE AND BABY ALIVE ! In my opinion, there is no need to stay longer than 40wks! My friend did and baby was distressed, pooed inside, had to stay in intensive care after birth and all that ! The baby still has respiratory issues now! I tried to talk to her then, she said all her sisters don't give birth till after 40wks bla bla bla. please FIRST TIME MUMS ! From 37wks, your baby is ready to be born! Trust your healthcare providers, they have seen you thru the prgenancy and understands your history better! Imagine someone with a placenta previa, saying she wants to wait till 40wks and attempt a VB that the "placenta has moved"...hmmmmm! Her doctor asked to bring out the baby at 38wks via CS, she ran away from the hospital !!!! FIRST TIME MUMS!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN BIRTH BEFORE! ALWAYS HEED TO THE ADVISE OF YOUR DOCTOR. This second pregnancy, I will gladly go that route again ! 39wks and no labor, bring out the baby ! Enough said for the morning! Good morning ladies and have a productive day ahead. |
congrats Abefeokin on your smooth POE. Those items are not missing, they were seized ! They randomly search checked-in baggages for contrabound items |
congrats Neks31, God is faithful Rejoice03, welcome on board, happy and stress free bumping |
SweetSoup:It is not malaria, it's part of the pregnancy Package. It is the release of pregnancy hormones that brings about the rise in temperature. In my first pregnancy, hubby ws soo worried that my temp ws abnormally high at night too... it's a phase and will pass away. |
Onegai:Onegai, where did you get the swim diapers? |
Enizo:Enizo, leave dis official complaint matter...they are doing their job and they have every right to search your phhones. Do you know sometimes they search your checked-in baggage? Like someone said, there is a law that backs them up to do that. Also, Houston POE receives such attention because a lot of flights land there and it is a potential security and immigration threat. |
zaynie:Zaynie, you don give me work be dis o...lol Issorai, we still dey get time so mk dem dey cum in |
IjayMama:They don't give their personal numbers. Call the office number and they will link it to her pager. If you can't get tru, go to oakbend ASAP, give dem ur name since u re registered and tell dem u re her patient. They will contact her immediately. Meanwhile, watever it is, don't waste time and head to the hospital now. All the best, it will end in praise! |

faithisallihave:Swthrt take a big hug first! You are not a failure ok... you are doing very well. motherhood is not an easy task but God will strengthen you. My suggestion will be to supplement with formula; preferably enfamil or aptamil if you can afford it. There's this special Similac for premmies, don't know if it's available here. Make sure she eats at least every 2-3hrs. Then for yourself, try to eat very well. So u can produce good quality milk. I'm sure you will see a difference soon |
danowena:Take several seats jor! ![]() No time to be a keyboard warrior...mchewwww! |
Enizo:Enizo ! Keep calm ! You have no right to complain. They sensed a misrepresentation and that was the reason for the delay. As for the extension, relax for a bit. Since she's 33wks now, if labor does not come b4 39 wks, let her opt for induction. You can get baby's document within 1wk in Houston. I booked appointment for passport immediately baby was born, picked up birth cert 2days after and got passport same day. She should use ETC instead of visa since time is not on her side |
