Omonigeriarere:I will suggest we wait till Monday.....need to see the happenings in the secondary market on Monday first |
mercylicious:Personally, I think you have jumped out of Access a little too early...anyway better to chop small than to chop none ![]() I expect Access H1 to be good enough to move it to 6.20 #MonkeyHunting ![]() |
angelo82:Yea Good for the Net Placers of funds! |
mercylicious:Like they say on Wall Street; If you win 60% of the time, then you are in excellent territory! Jisie Ike! |
sherif4owo:Stocks sir |
peteken:If you throw in N7m for 182 days at lets say 15% your upfront Interest would be around N523K not bad for a guy that didnt take any risk abi? ![]() |
Tripod3:Next Auction date is Aug 4th,.. but throw in ur bids by 3rd |
ukay2:i bought Access on Monday.... |
puna:would wait till monday evening to see the trading direction in the secondary market that day before sticking out my necks |
ukay2:To a large extent...I play both. It only depends on the % of funds i put in each.,. At this time, am betting to make more in the Tbills than in the stock market so am more skewed here now.. nevertheless am betting on the Big Banks that are net placers of funds and have good bond trading dest to do well. Moreover with the Forex Gains we have seen in FBNH.....many banks would be spinning monies soon!! #FBN #ACCESS #GTBank #Zenith |
burrytee:Yea most banks insist on Primary Auction only... i however know a couple of Investment Houses that do secondary markets (Although you get rates based on the secondary market conditions which is depended on the a lot of factors) |
Tritri:You have locked in for a 5 year Bond....Tbills is max one year! when Tbills was 9% for One year..you were enjoying the 15.54 coupon na.. Interest is currently moving against you that is currently locked in...In the developed markets....this is why Fund Managers buy Derivatives to hedge against such losses from the sale of their Bonds when Interest (prices) move against them.. Unfortunately in Naija, If you sell you might be taking some losses (that is if you are able to sell off in the secondary market cos i know they only trade in Blocks of N100M) |
Tritri:Bonds and Tbills move in the same direction... As we speak all Bond yields have all gone up! If you were already locked in a 2020 FGN Bond which has a coupon rate of 15.54 why would you want to come out? |
davide470:Excellent time for Banks that are Net Placers of funds and those that have robust Bond Trading Desk! 1st Tier banks in my tots! |
MPC key decisions MPR up to 14% from 12% CRR retain at 25% With this Hike we should expect, bond yields to push towards 20% . Same for TBills Discount rate! Clearly this is a bait for FPI? And we Local Tbills Investor.... ![]() I just pity those with bank loans now... |
Every gambler knows, the secret to surviving is -- Knowing what to throw away and knowing what to keep.'' - Kenny Rogers (The Gambler) #MonkeyHunting ![]() |
FBN.... It's Forex gain to the rescue!! This impairment charge na die sha!!! But it's looking good for the Elephant! But I don't see this leading to any major bull... I may be wrong sha! |
ihedioramma:Did anyone stop you from talking about them? start the talk na... ![]() |
binaflexia:No sir..I only have accounts in Investment one and Fidelity securities.... I usually need much more than Itrade to survive in this business... #Marginfacility |

The greatest cause of human financial struggle is the fear of losing money." Robert Kiyosaki ![]() |
locodemy:Unless the market is generally bullish this wont work.. ask Access bank that tried it in the past.. |
http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/14346_FIDSON_HEALTHCARE_Q2_JUNE_2016_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_JULY_2016.pdf SERIOUS CARNAGE....88% DROP IN PAT Come una no dey use drugs cure una malaria again for Naija? ![]() sad that no Agbo jedi coy is listed here ![]() |

OBAGADAFFI:I just got a mail from my broker on it now... Its been changed to Dangote Flour |
rebekah2011:I just confirmed that there was a last minute block cross trade at N2.28.... Just like you posited; high Interest rates favors them as they do a lot of trading on Govt securities.. would be rushing in at this price on Monday.. |
Afo1k:what happened here? some last minute abracadabra?? anyway at least we can now hope for the N2 we have been waiting for.. |
