I will be foolish to expect empathy from an Igbo
We know how Awo kept n paid you unfortunate ungratel souls your allocation after the war but does any igbo ever tell that part of history today.

May it never be well with with any aigno that sympathize with the Yorubas. Just of recent the igbo social media was agog over the news that herds men chased Yorubas in Benin Republic. Only foolish Yoruba will expect a tribe so bitter n filled with irredeemable hate 4 it show love instead Yoruba have chosen to be in your father's faces telling you to hell with you.
Always remember that what goes around comes around. When you mock a people during their time of travails don't expect empathy from them when you suffer similar thing.
Awolowo despite handing the allocation back to the Igbos cannot be viewed in good light by Igbos because of the incalculable damage he did to us through his 'betrayal'. Prior to the war, hardly did any Igbo speak wrong of him. Even the coup plotters openly said it was him they wanted to take over the reigns of government because of the trust they had in his capability. He was treated well while he was incarceration in the East by the same Igbo but all that changed after he took sides with the same people that threw him into jail to use hunger as a weapon against the same people that had so much faith in him. The millions that died never mattered to you because you lack compassion. Your heart is cold towards anything Igbo. How can one starve a section of the country they still expect to be a part of them? I'm used the cliche 'All Is Fair In War'. Only a fool uses such cliche to explain a war aimed at uniting a people. You're so foolish to think Igbos should be grateful for the allocation. Was it Awo's personal money? What about the 20 pounds policy? Your brain is so wired to hate Igbos and see them as those that should have no say or opinion on an issue but that's your business. The same people have today bounced back by the grace and mercy of God. If you were God, Igbos would have since gone extinct. That means their won't have been Nwankwo Kanu, JJ Okocha, P Square, Mary Onyali and the list is endless. A very gifted people should be allowed to prosper to help redeem the black race but here in Nigeria, the opposite is the case. Hate has beclouded their senses to the extent that they prefer to see Igbos on their knees begging. Since they kept Igbos out of the federal government, they ended up destroying the country. See the mess Nigeria has become. It shall on record that no Igbo man ruled Nigeria as she headed down to failure. At least, you can't attach Igbo to that record.
I understand how those Igbos who mocked the Yorubas on the Benin refugee camp situation. Yorubas have been in the fore front of laughing at the state sponsored massacre of Igbos for over a decade. From the killings of MASSOB members to that of IPOB. It's only natural for Igbos to return it when they their people fleeing to another country when their homes were attacked. Is their anything wrong with it? It is called 'Tit For Tat'. While I understand the natural instinct at play, I still discouraged those who persisted in such act by telling them it's enough. We all down South shouldn't be foolish not to see the people that gain from our collective internal squabbles. The message is simply that whatever you do to others shall be done to you.
I penned down this long response for reasonable people who might have followed our exchange. As for you, may you choke on your hate. I don't expect love from you and don't you expect any from me.

Cold and savage but true nonetheless. While AI aerial vehicles might be successful I have my doubts for the road plying ones. Too many obstacles to avoid on the ground and split seconds decisions decide whether it's a crash or not. The probability for crashes should be higher for AI road vehicles than for humans especially within heavily populated settlements with obstacles around.
The likely saving grace is if there's a low fixed speed limit for auto-driving.

Babalegba:
Lol, grin Aba women's riot, I mean war all over again. I've read Nigerian history extensively for more than forty years and never came across any mention of well organized military effort against the British from ibos. In fact organized military campaigns against the British came from the north but they succumbed to the machine gun. The yorubas were too preoccupied with fighting themselves and did not field a United army so the town's like ijebus that confronted the British were defeated quickly. History is too important to be messed with. The problem is that ibos at the time lacked central leadership so there was no King and a United national army so any opposition to the British would have come from area boys and hotheads in the town's. You cannot call that a war.
It's good to read first before opening your mouth to say rubbish. Why not search for books online that wrote about the Ekumeku Resistance? Any form of marshal resistance against invaders by indigenous people is rightly described as a war. It may not be well organized for various reasons but the blood and life put up for such defence qualifies it to be described as such. That a lot of positives about Igbos were deliberately kept out of Nigerian history shouldn't make one regard stories from Igbos as lies or exaggeration. Many young Igbos have gone into reading history from Libraries all over the world to know more about their people and the trend will continue. We are proud of our history.
Don't allow prejudice cloud your sense of reasoning.

As of the time our fathers were resisting the British I am sure that none of them knew about the Berlin conference and its outcome. They let their survival instinct guide them to the fact that they and their unborn children were about to be messed up forever. So for more than two decades they fought with all they had. I am proud of that heritage. Each time I look at how the business venture of the Britain called Nigeria is killing off dreams. I take solace in the fact that our fathers never wanted this for us and they tried their best to neutralise the brits. One day our dreams will be achieved
Aptly put. Ndigbo hate subjugation and will do anything to fight it off. It's in our blood and we are proud of it. Our complete freedom is at hand and God willing, victory shall be ours. Our forefathers resisted the British with all the had. They knew nothing good comes with any association with them.

The Nigeria civil war was fought in her Majesties name

Are you surprised? Some so called educated Nigerians will mourn Shekau if confirmed dead tomorrow. I wonder the type of humans we have here in Nigeria especially in the southern part.

In the war the ordinary Nigerians will suffer. After the destruction comes hunger, poverty and crime. Most of these politicians have cash and investment abroad. They also secret dual citizenship. Starting up again with be a problem.
There's poverty, hunger and crime already currently and it will only get worse because those who clearly don't have the capacity to make any positive change won't allow those who stand a better chance to handle that position. Allowing this situation to fester will lead to even worst situations like is found in Somalia. Dividing the country peacefully is the best so those who want to be more Islamic than Saudi Arabia can do so while those who want to progress can do so too without hindrance. However, if they choose war before division then so be it. But the north will be worst hit. The South has a huge diaspora community that can bring any sort of assistance at recovery coupled with a less violent psyche that will allow a level of reconstruction. Most of all the current politicians who supported this current aberration will never be allowed in any political position leaving only technocrats to handle such positions. If South Korea could recover, Southern Nigeria can recover too.
It is the fear of the unknown that kept Africa in bondage for centuries while the Europeans who conquered it benefited immensely from such. People wonder why Igbos progress but fail to see the obvious. The new Igbo man does not have the fear if the unknown hence he can venture into any part of the world alone to identify a money making business that the locals their know nothing of. Before they realize its worth, he has become very rich. Let's divide Nigeria, perhaps the fulani north may realize that ranching and agriculture plus Zamfara gold can sustain a country. Perhaps, they may discover some other things that can boost their national income. But insisting on oppressing others like being done to my people will NEVER be accepted? How can an ethnic group with over 40million people be treated as a nothing? More than half of countries in Africa are less than 40 million people and they control their land and do whatever they want in it. My people with a very high intellectual human resource and a huge entrepreneurial capacity are boxed into non state actors. Such an evil thing to do to the black race. We're not scared of the unknown. Let Nigeria be divided let's handle it from there.

IPOB is a criminal organisation setup by a fraudster to enrich himself.

In a case of war the south will have more to loose. People of the south are more skilled, educated, exposed. Have better standard of living and properties. You can't be fighting physically with a people who are majority illiterates and have nothing to live for.

When the south agrees on this first before the strings will be pulled to get the north to align.
First of all, you'll have to rescind calling IPOB a criminal organization. She has neither stolen anything from you or Nigeria. Rather she has been in the forefront of calling for the freedom of an oppressed people peacefully for close to a decade. She suffered a lot of persecution losing close to a thousand young people to the evil Nigerian security apparatus through violent killings. She has her presence in over 50 countries worldwide and there have not been any bad case associated to them. If you insist on using a foul term on them again, you'll be treated as an urchin bereft of any solid analytical capability.
Now to the South/North political permutations in the event of the breakdown of laws. Naa!
The South with all these positives won't lose more. Even the majority illiterates you guys depend on will want to have a chance to live their lives at a point in time. This is not going to be a war of spears and swords that needs a melee to cut down an enemy. There are more intelligent ways to wipe out multitudes with just a strike. For you information, even your politicians who actually created the current evil will have a taste of the pudding. It will getto all of them. You clearly underestimated the capability of an educated mind. You'll be shocked the length to which these educated minds from the South will go.
Finally, there's nothing to agree with vampires who contribute nothing but insist on controlling everyone and forcing all to do their bidding.

As for IPOB, they're doing the right thing. We need to come together at least we all can see how our land have been exploited, polluted and abandoned and we've even been edged out of the control of our territories. IPOBs stand is still a proposal that they can reject if they don't think it wise. It's the older and bigger that extends a hand of union not the other way round most times. Unlike the Hausa Christians who are in no way a threat to Hausaland or the politics of Hausa people, Igbo Muslims will be a mole for our sworn political enemies to infiltrate Igboland. Already we're seeing it in Yorubaland and will never allow such to fester in our land. When we control our land, their will be freedom of worship as long as everyone respect himself. Igboland is a land of freedom right from antiquity and it shall remain so.
I don't mince words because the truth always prevails. An average Hausa man is not necessarily violent unless when provoked. Islam and the fulani purveyors have altered the Hausa man of today. All political statements. The original statement read "one of the safest place" but the title says otherwise.
We all that's not true but to massage the ego of the fulani controlled north, he made that statement. If we take statistics of Igbos that have been attacked violently as a people in all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria from 2010 till date, it's very clear that the north will come up first. Too much Igbo blood have been spilt in Northern Nigeria with goods worth billions destroyed. How then can any sensible human devoid of partisanship make such a comment?
Whatever prompted that speech if targeted at dissuading Igbos from calling for the division of Nigeria won't fly because the soul and heart of majority of Ndigbo have left Nigeria long time ago especially the north. Those Igbo bar owners whose businesses were destroyed by Hisbah can attest to it. Did Nigerian constitution prohibit the sales of alcohol? Is Nigeria an Islamic country? The fulanis should that the train has left the station long time ago. There'll always be stragglers and they won't be the definition of the travellers.
It should interest them that a peaceful division will be much better for all where business interests and treaties can be reached amicably. If they however prefer war then so be it.

Some words unique to this dialect are

Jokwa - Well-done, Good morning. Greetings generally

Kaa - Sorry

Okpogo - Money

Mie - blood
etc
Is mie = mmęę as pronounced by some other Igbo groups in reference to blood?
For instance, this is a typical usage of the word in a sentence.
Aga m eyi gi mmęę = I'll bloody you.
This is used in boundary areas of Enugu, Anambra and Abia.
