They should go and sleep. They should meet GEJ to give them ministers.

When the person they love did not give them the appointment, is it the person they openly detest that will give them?

If not because there is a rule against insulting these shameless people ehn... Hmmm.

See lie abeg, they have 70% of Abuja population.. Just as they claim they have 85% of Lagos.. Very soon they'll say they have 60% of Kano.

Igbos have no moral justification or right to demand anything from the incoming government because they have openly showed how much they hate him.
They can only be considered because of the kind heartedness of GMB n the 2% sensible people among them. If not, shikom will not get to them.

FCT minister my arze.
Actually, not voting for someone does not mean you hate them... Only 2% sensible people among themhuh

Since the victory of the APC, wise businessman Aliko Dangote has been romancing the strong men who made things happen and probably pledge his loyalty for the good of his business. Sharp man!

That is the right thing to do... No matter the person or party in power, your business must go on. Ambode and lagos State will even benefit more from him if all the projects he is planning come to fruition... You can imagine what will happen to Lagos if a refinery with the capacity to refine 500,000barrels per day is functioning there. Is it job creation or developmenthuh

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Government Should Create Ministry Of Lagos Affairs – Legislator by Fellonigerians: 5:58pm On Apr 21, 2015
Not necessary. The Federal Government should just practice true federalism which will enable Lagos benefit directly from the federal structures existing in the state, e.g., the ports, etc... With that the state will still get the money that would have been allocated to the Ministry... Federal beaurocrary is the worst, so creating another Ministry will be creating another avenue for corruption....

He is the right choice for Kaduna State. The states, especially those in the north need Governors that will invest a lot in developing the states, e.g., needed infrastructure (not govt house, govt lodge, secretariat), human capital, etc.

I still cant understand why Governors take loans of billions of $ to build new govt house and/or lodge, or presidential guesthouse knowing fully well that the structure will not be able to recover the cost of construction... Build something that will generate enough to pay back the loan and also serve as IGR for the state in eternity...

astana1:
upporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, protesting the outcome of the governorship election in Imo State, went on the rampage in Owerri, the state capital, on Monday.

The PDP supporters, who carried placards, demanding that Governor Rochas Okorocha should vacate Government House for their candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, stopped and harassed motorists on Okigwe Road.

The crowd of protesters, who were joined by miscreants, also beat up some road users, including commercial tricycle operators who refused to support their cause.

The Police arrived the scene of the protest when it appeared to be getting out of hand and fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Rochas Okorocha Campaign Organisation, Iheukwumere Alaribe, described the protest by the PDP supporters as a demonstration of their displeasure with the Imo State branch of the Independent National Electoral Commission for failing to deliver the governorship election to the party.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Reduce Fuel Price To N40 Per Litre — David-West by Fellonigerians: 2:22pm On Apr 14, 2015
Bawss1:
Interesting submission however when matters of the cost of petrol come up I usually look around to see if/where other nations are experiencing the same thing because crude oil which is the source of petrol is an internationally traded commodity, it is subject to an international trend in a manner of speaking. How come in other countries without any form of subsidy in place and where they have fully functional local refineries they are not able to buy petrol for $0.02/litre (~N40)?

Even with the drop in world crude prices I think that figure is very unrealistic.

People should disabuse their minds from these unrealistic expectations. Even if Buhari magically repaired all our refineries in a fortnight there is no way he will achieve this feat.
I total agree with you that N40/litre is unrealistic, talkless of anytime soon, unless GMB plans to continue the subsidy program, and pay more than the present administration is paying...

My comments are just suggesting actions and policies that can help in reducing the cost first.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Reduce Fuel Price To N40 Per Litre — David-West by Fellonigerians: 12:46pm On Apr 14, 2015
Bawss1:
We are talking about reducing fuel to N40/l in 2015 or the near future. I say that is unrealistic. Even with 142 refineries in the USA they don't buy petrol for the equivalent of N40/l.
In figuring out whether the cost of a product can come down, you look at the cost components. According to PPPRA the breakdown of the price of fuel based on average Platts’ data for December 29, 2014 showed the following:

Landing Cost - $644.92 per metric ton or N82.41 per litre (cost and freight (N72.40K), traders’ margin (N1.28K), lightering expenses (N3.91K), Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA charge (N0.67K), financing (N0.35K), jetty/depot thru’ put charge (N0.80K) and storage charge (N3.00K)).

Distribution margin - $121.22 per ton, or N15.49 per litre (retailers (N4.60K), transporters (N2.99K), dealers (N1.75K), bridging fund (N5.85K), marine transport average (N0.15) and administrative charge (N0.15K))

Total cost to about $766.14 per ton, or N97.90.

Therefore, price of fuel can be reduced if we refine enough for our local demand because aside from the cost of the product, some of the components especially charges by middlemen and agencies and businesses can be removed or reduced.

Am not an expert, just trying to analyze this in simple terms. I don't expect it to get to N40 immediately, but once you reduce the price by stopping importation of fuel, you can now go further to closely analyze the actual cost of producing fuel in Nigeria, and it could possibly go down some more.

It actually looks like it. We might be wanting something different (change), while the politicians are wanting something else (power). It is not all the time that the politicians and the masses want the same thing. Politicians like states with population and/or deep pockets because politics needs supporters, and funding.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Will Reduce Fuel Price To N40 Per Litre — David-West by Fellonigerians: 12:02pm On Apr 14, 2015
Bawss1:
Subsidy is the last option for countries that can't refine or meet local demand? huh Oga that's not why subsidy was put in place o.

Even if government curbs the excesses in its spending selling petrol at N40/l will still be unachievable, for that to even happen it means there will even be a larger subsidy than what we have in place now.

Any talk about reducing petrol to N40 now is unrealistic at best.
If he can get our refineries to start producing at even half of their capacity, will be a good start. 75-100% capacity equals and exceeds our local demand. Dangote's refinery will come on in 2018, and triple our local demand. We can then be exporting the excess to our neighbors and be generating income for the country.
