monsterrock: THERE WERE NO ELECTIONS FOR THE SENATE LEADERSHIP – Senator Dr. AKUME
The Senator Dr George Akume has responded to the elections conducted by the PDP faction of the members of the National assembly which “elected” Senator Bukola Saraki as the Senate President and Senator Ike Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President.
Responding in a press conference held at his residence earlier today, about the outcome of the elections at the Senate, Senator Dr. George Akume alleged that what happened at the Senate today smacks of due process and also stressed that he had nothing against all those involved in the sham elections.
He said “People think they can use money to subvert democracy, but all that is rubbish and at the appropriate time we will speak.”
Senator Akume made reference to the straw polls conducted by the APC for its candidates as the APC lawmakers were at the ICC for a meeting called by the President when the sham elections went on.
He urged his supporters not to be angry or worry about the sham elections, but worry for those who have subverted democracy and in due time, justice will be served.
Senator Dr George Akume also reinstated that the sham will be pursued to the latter till the right thing is done.

torkaka: President Muhammadu Buhari did not show up at the International Conference Center for the meeting slated to broker peace among the factions in the leadership tussle of the 8th National Assembly.
APC lawmakers-elect and some chieftains of the party had converged for the meeting only to hear that elections were going on at the National Assembly and that Senator Bukola Saraki had emerged the new Senate President.
It was reported that the members-elect, while waiting for the arrival of the President, started discussing in one of the meeting rooms in the conference center while journalists were barred from knowing what was going on.
After waiting for about two hours, the lawmakers, most of them members of the House of Reps stormed out of the conference center with the realisation that the situation at the Senate had happened behind them.
Present at the ICC meeting were some APC governors, chieftains of the party and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu. The Spokesman of the party, Lai Mohammed, arrived several hours later.
In a swift reaction to the development, the party Chairman and some members of the APC who spoke to Channels Television said that they were studying the situation and would react at the right time.
http://www.channelstv.com/2015/06/09/buhari-absent-at-apc-lawmakers-peace-meeting/ Buhari is learning fast. This is unlike him, so i have to believe that he supported Saraki and Ekweremmadu's emergence... |

BeeBeeOoh: FROM JULIANA TAIWO-OBALONYE, ABUJA
A former member of National Assembly, Senator Rowland Owie, has described ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo’s Think-tank report as a document of blackmail for the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,
In a statement issued in Abuja, Owie, who is also a former Chief Whip of the Senate, asked: ”How can Obasanjo be preparing a blueprint for Buhari? A Bini parable says, “how can an impotent man get medicine for his brother, who suffers weak erection”?
The Niger Delta ex-senator was disappointed that the in-coming Buhari administration is in romance with Obasanjo, saying, “Obasanjo will tell the world that the solutions he prescribed for fixing Nigeria were ignored.”
He said: “I just read Obasanjo think-tank has submitted a blueprint to Buhari. Blue what?
“I am shocked that great Nigerians of the likes of Prof. Akin Mabogunje, Dr. Idika Kalu and Dr. Christopher Kolade were involved. That Obasanjo is linked to the blue-print, it will be a document of blackmail to Buhari very soon.
“Wonders will never end! How can Obasanjo who allegedly wasted eight years in government pursuing perceived enemies, and tried to ruin the legislative and judiciary arms of government in Nigeria; wasted $16 billion on power and not a single kilowatt of energy was produced, destroyed Aladja Steel, Itakpe Steel, Ajaokuta Steel, NITEL, just to mention a few FGN parastatals, now begin to advise Buhari?
“How can Obasanjo, whose government received, in one year, a revenue equivalent of the total revenue that IBB regime received in eight years, yet, nothing to show for it, be handing over blue-print to the in-coming administration?
“While there are great legacies left behind by IBB, but Nigerians can’t find any useful legacies by a government that received the highest revenue, since the amalgamation of Nigeria.
“The legacies left behind by Obasanjo are allegedly hate, divisiveness, Zaki- Ibiam and Odi destruction, impunity in government business and the business of the PDP that was put together by well-meaning people, including my humble self, when he, Obasanjo, was in prison,” Sen. Owie said.
Owie also revealed that “the present state of PDP was created by Obasanjo when the late SB Awoniyi was rigged out in 2000 at Eagle Square and another attempt to rebuild the party through Chief Audu Ogbeh was frustrated when Ogbeh was forced to resign as PDP chairman.
“We thank God that now that Obasanjo has left the PDP, we can rebuild the party. Has Obasanjo not seen now the major achievements of Yar’Adua-Jonathan government within a short time,”? he asked.

Gr8amechi: KADUNA – Kaduna State Governor-elect, Mallam Nasir El Rufai Tuesday said that all stolen money by the current ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, must be refunded as soon as the incoming government of the All Progressive Change, APC, was sworn in on May 29th, 2015.
The former Minster of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, made the statement in a speech yesterday when executive members of the National Union of Textile Garments and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, NUTGTWN, paid him a courtesy visit in his private residence in Kaduna.
El-Rufai said, “we will politely ask those who stole government money to return the funds.
“This is because people who are in government now (PDP) are there to work for themselves but the APC government is made up of people who are ready to work for the masses and betterment of the country. “We will work with the textile union to ensure that lives of the average Nigerians get better”, he said.
The former Minister decried what he described as the “shameful” state of the textile industry in the area, pledging that his government will reverse the trend.

Romance › Re: Big Booty Chics...how Embarassing?! by Fellonigerians: 11:18am On May 13, 2015 |
ahsekeena: This thread is dedicated to the girls with big butts.
I'm a big booty chic, and I've had quite a number of embarrassing events as a result of this.
Just yesterday I went to civic centre at ozumba mmbadiwe to meet with a client, parked my car,got out and was heading to the managers office with my client. I saw a couple coming behind me,from the way they dressed I could tell they were yoruba. I hadn't taken more than 15 steps when I started hearing "shameless man,u have no shame,u can't even hide ur dirty behaviour, emi o blame e,awon omo esu yii naa ni pelu Aso rada rada to n wo "
Turned around to see it was the woman whom I noticed earlier, she was addressing her husband. She must have been in her early 40s ,I guess and her husband, mid 50s.
Lol,apparently, her husband had been gawking....at my butt. I was wearing a pair of white leggings and a white top, nothing bad.
After she lashed at her husband(people were already looking), she turned to me and started insulting me,called me indecent, a husband snatcher and how I dressed the way I did to lure men away from their wives. From her utterances,I could tell she was an "omo eko".
I stopped right in my tracks, turned to her and cautioned her,the fact that she was older didn't give her the right to talk to me the way she did. I gave her a piece of my mind and walked away, she looked on without saying anything.
Wasn't my fault her husband couldn't keep his eyes off my butt. My silly client just kept laughing.
I've had other embarrassing situations like this but this was just too much. Big booty chics, share ur tales of embarassments. Leggings and top to see a client Na waaooooo.... |
