Ovularia:

Olisa Adibua's Barbaric Attack - An Open Letter From A Beat FM Employee

An open letter from a Beat FM employee

Dear Linda,
This letter had to be written anonymously because we have been ‘instructed’ not to speak to the press. We are appalled by Olisa Adibua’s actions, and feel his physical assault on Dewunmi was barbaric and completely wrong. What’s even more shocking is that he wasn’t removed from the premises immediately. Olisa was his usual self the day after the incident, and was seen chatting and laughing with the GM Deji Awokoya (who was well aware of the assault). He was still permitted to do his show on Thursday, and went on to host the Beat of Lagos on Friday night,

This incident is sadly just one of many that involves Olisa Adibua bullying employees at Megalectrics.
To summarize, we hope that the MD of Megalectrics reprimands Olisa ‘appropriately’ to show that this kind of action is unacceptable.  Likewise MNet/Glo need to seriously think about the messages they are sending out to the public if they decide to keep Olisa on as a judge for ‘Naija Sings’.

The bolded seem to ba the main reason behind this letter.
I smell blackmail somewhere.

Cement? Dont they use mud to build houses in Nigera? (no ofeinse) sad

You are right. 'we use mud and various earth materials that can give us a cementious substance.
We seek for materials that contain aluminium, silicon, calcium in combination to give something that looks like this, Ca12Al14o33(12CaO 7Al12o3,or C12Al7 in CCN) or
(Ca4(AlO2)6SO4

A man heard in a BRT Bus that the price of cement has gone up,
the next thing it is in the news.
Where else in the country is the product this high.
Here in PH it is still 2,000.

You better kill this anti- Jonathan sentiment and get a life.

Family / Re: Can You Continue With The Marriage? by Fidelo726: 5:42pm On Sep 02, 2011
WhyAWhy:

Rule number 1: If she's got an ex that she was intimate with, I won't marry her. Old flames don't die!

Rule number 2: If she double dates while we were together, I won't marry her. She will do it in marriage.

Rule number 3:
If she's got "her friends" and I've got "mine" and we don't have a larger pool of "joint friends". I am outta the relationship,

but guess non of this applies to you now.

Solution: Given the type of background your wife has, there are probably things she's beginning to appreciate in the people she left  to marry you or probably the fire is no longer in your relationship, you need to go back to what made her look up to you or find you adorable, she's most like getting bored.

Old flames really hardly die
you made the first mistake of getting married to a lady who was unfaithful in courtship.
sorry but you cannot stop her.
she is just tired of hidding it from you so she has to smash it on your face.
probably she has been looking for a way to do things freely and with little arguement, she finds an excues.

Sports / Re: Mikel Obi Visits GEJ To Say Thank Him For His Dad's Release by Fidelo726: 3:59pm On Sep 01, 2011
You have less than 4 years to keep hating your president. But that is your business.
Trivial issues like this should not generate so much hate but unfortunately it does.

The news of the kidnap of the chelsea midfielder was everywhere.
I guess it is the opportunity to tell the world that the government is not sleeping.

The visit did not last an hour so what does the president need to tackle that he cannot attend to visitors.
If you care to know, Mikel is an ambasador and thus is so important to be ignore.

If we hope for anybody to do the job then we should expect anything.
As we are fast to comdemn, we should equally be fast to appreciate.
I believe that the road map towards attaining a greater megawatts of electricity is on course.
Goodluck Nigeria.

Try understanding my position. First, am not being emotional about the real situation on ground. Secondly, things has gone really bad in Delta to the point of people wishing and missing Ibori. Lets just cut out the sentiments and call a spade a spade.

How many people in the state are missing Ibori.
If few sycophants and cronnies show emotion, that does not say same for majority Deltans.

@jomodupri,

every structure is unique in its own way.
your case will bring us back to the use or importance of soil test.
for a bungalow as you have, the mason must have ignore the german floor base on his previous experiences.
but before you can ignore spreading your oversite concrete on the entire floor, be sure that the soil beneath
is good enough to bear the weight of the impose and dead load on the floor.
the test here for a bungalow can be visual or hand feel investigation but should be interpreted by one with knowledge of
soil and its functions.

again, you do not necessarily need a column(pillar) for a bungalor unless for aesthetics as long as the soil "this soil again"
has the strenght to bear the burden of the structure.

chaining here I will definitely subscibe to since, there is a long lenght of wall from foundation.
this lenght will definitely cause vertical crack along the height of the wall.
so, the chain using rebars will definitely stop or reduce the espected cracks.
this is because the chain beam will reduce the overall height of the wall to a reasonable one.

WE REALLY HAVE TO COMMEND AMAECHI FOR IMPLEMENTING THE PROJECT. I WAS AMONG THE TRAINEE SENT FROM OSUN STATE FOR THE SAME PROGRAMME, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, WHEN WE GOT BACK WE WERE TOLD BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT HEADED BY PRINCE OLAGUNSOYE OYINLOLA THAT THERE WAS NO MONEY TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT. AFTER SPENDING SUCH A HUGE SOME OF MONEY ON TRAINING. SO, KUDOS TO AMAECHI, HE HAS DONE COMMENDABLY WELL.

This is what I will call testimony.
There is need to have a little diversification from the oil and gas.
And for this laudable project to be coming from an oil state, we should do more than excoriate.

Thank you 2gd for the info. The essence of the songai farm was not mainly production. The reuse of the material was actually what farmers have to emulate. We do not only have to look at things from the ethnicity part of it. I cannot imagine eko ile bringing in the picture of a local abattoir and comparing it with what an inspection of a farm by fashola. It goes to show how much tribal issues matter to you.

If the 36 governors of nigeria a to be assessed, Amaechi surely will be among the first

Thanks Lawyer for being the one to point out these abnormalies in spyder and brabus threads. The threads were really loosing those spices that were used to embellish them which made me glue to it immediately I went through the earlier pages of the threads.Which also put them in the headline some months ago. They are becoming more of praise singing threads than enlightenment. I know that the threads is yours but, I also know that there are pros in the building industry that following the threads and so, if they observe anything out of place they seek clarification from the host which I believe is ok. Nobody has the monopoly of knowledge that is why we are following the threads. Mind you that as you initiate the threads, you also have contributors in the same field. Forget the paddy-paddy thing and give us that sweet bite that we all love.

All the same you guys are doing great job. Well done.

Thank you Lawyer.
Health / Re: What Leads To Joint Pain? by Fidelo726: 5:26pm On Jul 20, 2011
I have been having this serious pain in my knee for over five years now but got aggrevated about three months ago.
But the funny thing is that it became worse after doing some jogging exercise and since then it has refuse to go.
I have been to the doctor but could not stop the pain. The pain came back immediately after the drugs finished.
I have tried the herbal remedy to no positive result. I am just living with it like one with a virus waiting for the worst to come.
Meanwhile I am a construction worker so, I move around regularly.
