its their time now.
when the forces will finally start raining on them, nobody should cry white murder.

I think the best thing for the people to do now is to find a way to protect themselves by forming community vigilante group.
But think a state of emergency should be instituted.

But, if i have my way the recess on the roof should correspond with the existing one from the wall.
that gives a somehow construction that is similar to what we have in the roof plan.
cos i can see some differents btw what is on the drawing from what is on land.

At least one is trusted.
and for the one behind, if she cannot trust her from grabbing the banana, she still trust her to have allowed her to be behind.

In every action we take, trust is always inherent.
If we cant anyone at all, then we do not need anybody.
Better we live in isolation.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Please Read Through & Tell Me What I Did Wrong! by Fidelo726: 5:01pm On Jun 23, 2011
JSL:

My story began two months ago when i saw a job advert for an executive fashion consultant vacancy for proposed upscale boutique online and i applied for it. I was called for an interview and i was present. Bottomline after the interview i was picked by the owner as the successful candidate. Subsequently before the employer returned back to the United States of America, she allways interacted with me , called me and whenever there were errands to run, i did it. Least i forget, i have a degree in computer science. She promised me heaven and earth, she always pleaded with me to stay with her, that she promises to take care of me. I was not to communicate with anyone but her. She would get me this, she would get me that. Maybe i was silly, but i believed in her and her dreams. From that minute onward i took her as a friend and second family.

Just a week after i got called for an interview with one of the banks in my state. I sat for the exams and passed. I was very confused because now i had to choose between two jobs. The bank job was three times the initial pay of the other. This is what i have prayed for and waited for all my life. For God's sake i had been without a job for close to two years. Ad when i though of my promise to stay with her, i acted against the wishes of family and friends and choosed her over the bank job. To me it was a matter of my loyalty to her and not the money. I just did not want to disappoint her. But i did send her an email to tell her about the bank job offer got and that i was sticking with her instead because i believed in her.

this, i must call misplaced priority.
you claim the bank job is the type you have been waiting for and when it came you got blinded in a one man job that does not quarantee you anything.
do not worry much anyway another one will come, this will only be an accident.
only try to avoid a coincidence.

well done brabus.
But i seem to be lost some how in the procedure you are using .
I saw the blinding, fine.
I saw the block course, fine.
But i did not see the foundation the columns will be resting on, which invariably transfer the load to the soil.
I have seen the starter bars waiting to be placed.
I have always thought that the starter bars will be resting on the basket (footing reinforcement) before the footings are cast.
Please bro help me out there.

I now have the final quote for roofing sheets, installation and delivery.

Main building with 0.45 N848,376.90
main building with 0.55 N987,356.60

Gate house with 0.45 N143,265.00
Gate house with 0.55 N165,265.00

Total for 0.45 N991,641.90
Total for 0.55 N1,152,470.60

Signing off on quotations.

I think it is better to use the 0.55 for the main building and  0.45 for the gate house.

Well from what i see, it seems its gonna be a simple Hipped roof since we dont see any gable walls going up. i wish there were drawings to explin better to those who want to understand and estimate their own costs.

Yea! I quite agree with you.The drawing would have exposed us to what we are expecting,
nevertheless we watch and appreciate the progress.

Analytical:

Great thread everybody!  I have learnt a lot.  Kudos to you guys.

On Dosu_Ade's plan, I think a little adjustment can solve the dining/visitor's toilet problem by not making the toilet open directly to the dining as shown below:

That is the best modification possible.
that shields the toilet entrance away from the dinning.
the thought of a toilet  close by as you dine is repulsive.
thank you for being analytical.

Well now, more than 70% of materials for the foundation stage are in. I anticipate that there will be a lot of progress over the next few days, as we are working overtime to ensure that we finish on schedule.
I obviously hope that the next few days will give you an appreciation for the attention to detail and build quality that we care about so much at NextHome Builder.

how does the overtime affect your initial cost estimate?
