I think you should call them to know what exactly is happening. From experience, IQAS takes about 4 months to acknowledge receipt. So its surprising that they have acknowledged your application which only got there last month.

Hi guys, please i need some clarity on this, I've searched through the thread and i've been seeing conflicting opinions. Can someone please help clarify thus:

if you had an old passport with stamped pages then later got a new passport with stamped pages as well, will you upload both passports on the platform or just the new passport?

you guys should stop complicating things . You are required to state 10 years activity or after 18th birthday which ever is earlier. State all events.

Member of board 2009 to 2015 abc limited.
How hard is it disclosing this. Costs nothing . Sigh

But what if you were registered as a member of the board when you were a child, say 12 years ago and before your 18th birthday, do you have to declare this as well?
Besides we know that as kids, back in the day our parents would buy shares in our names, without our knowledge, thereby making you a shareholder in those companies.
so how will this be declared of unknown?

Hello house,

what is the best way to prove foreign currency as proof of funds?
Should it be sitting in the bank account or is there any investment?
Also, will it raise red flags of the account is opened this month and the foreign currency just drops into the account from your parent but its also backed up with gift deed?

I suspected that some people would have been forging 3 years experience just to get more points... I’m glad the VOs are fishing these desperate applicants out.. Most credible companies would not pay you in cash for 3 years!!! It doesn’t even make sense.

why say so?
i'm even wondering how someone can fake work experience. The question will be- is it a fictitious company or a company duly registered with CAC?. So if the company is duly registered with CAC and is in operation, how will you claim work experience if you did not actually work there.
Secondly, it is at the decision of the company owner (most times in one man business or partnership business) to pay with cash. You cant tell him how he wants to run his company.
I think if the VO wants additional proof of the existence of the company, they can further ask for a copy of the CAC document (but that is confidential especially if its not a Plc).

Please note that your job experience must be in one profession. if it is, then go ahead and update your profile with the current result and hope. But at the same time, plan to get a better result.

Max out on all options.

It does not have to be in one profession. As long as the experience is under NOC A, O, B, you can combine the experience, however one of the experience should be at least a year.

Did she put above 30 hours in work experience ?
Correct POF
Is her eca ready

she has 40hrs work experience (Accountants, NOC 1111), POF- 13,000CAD, ECA has been ready since with two certificates evaluated, She's 24 years.
We both have exactly same profile except the ielts and i'm already post AOR. We work in the same office, same JD, same everything, only the ielts is holding her with 6 in writing but she was hoping to sit in the pool while planning for a retake.

Yes I created a profile with a 6.5 in writing and a 7.5 in listening. I guess it should be something else

There is nothing else
Age- 24
two certificates already evaluated by WES
ielts- 8776
Three years work experience

she filled all these yet the profile became ineligible, so we dont even know what to do

hello anyone, i need help on this.

Hello House,

i heard that even though the we are advised to have LRSW 8777, if i get 8776 i can still enter the pool while still planning to retake the ielts.
A friend who has every other requirement but with ielts score of 8776 tried entering the pool yesterday but the platform stated she is ineligible.
So i'm confused because i know of people with scores as low as 383 who are in the pool with low ielts too. So why is the system rejecting hers?
please someone should help explain.

No. You don't have to. I included mine because the information is visible online and I had also included same in a US visa application.

No. ICAN certificate isn't required. I didn't include mine. Generally, beside PCC for countries you have stayed for more than 6 months, no other proof is required for personal history.

Okay, thats a relief.

thanks a lot.

For someone who benefited immensely from reading other people's detailed PPR stories, I'd be back with the detailed gist.

Congratulations on your PPR.
If i may ask, is it compulsory to include details of membership of professional bodies for which i didnt claim points for.
For instance, i have AAT and ICAN but only used AAT to add to my Bsc to claim "two or more certificates".
However, i included in my personal history that i have ICAN. So do i still have to submit my ICAN certificate which i didnt claim points for?

Thanks.

You engage in lots of things at the same time. And this makes the process complicated for you.

With your knowledge of TEF, 15 points for a sibling in Canada, IELTS for you and your spouse, ECA for both of you and age 30, your CRS points can go as high as 495.

Forget PNP and job offer for now. Focus your energy and time on the things you can quickly achieve: IELTS & TEF.

IELTS has a templete. If you follow this template and put in time to practice, you will smash it at first sitting. I hope I can share this templete but that should be after my offline students see their results on the 19th.

Please i'm interested in the template ohh.

Disclaimer 1: I may make some enemies today

Disclaimer 2: I am a person of faith and I know that the impossible can happen

Disclaimer 3: I am in the pool with sub 440, so I’m not poking fun at anyone

Disclaimer 4: The data in the table below is from NL so it may have some errors

…but I gotta show you guys the trend and some historical data, see the table below and concentrate on the 451-600 row….there are 7 times more people in the 451 to 600 range in June 2019 than there were just 2 years ago. Even if the fortnightly draws were 4,000…..the days of 440 may be gone…..younger more educated peeps are joining the race it seems.

I’m kicking myself for my inaction last year; for not redoing IETLS to see if I could get 7.5 in writing for 3 extra marks, for not starting spouse’s ECA before my “minus 5” day,  maybe I would have been one of the 438 or 439 ITAans in Dec/Jan…….SO…. I’m just hoping to encourage someone here to the use the time wisely, get a second degree, start French lessons and ace TEF (as Njbybrthnly take do, enough Indians on Canadavisa studying for TEF), sponsor a sibling for 15 points, redo the IETLS (look at that sister whose husband did it 15 times), remark it sef if money for redo no too dey, marry a younger person with PhD, Canadian experience and Canadian education (na joke o)……either way do something; you never know the one God will use to show you mercy…..but please I beg you, don’t sit and wait for scores drop.

Except of course you don’t want to go again….in which case….chillax and be singing: I like am, I like am o……me I like my country, I like the land and people, everything e dey for Nigeria, make we join hand to make Nigeria greater!!! PS: if you can’t remember this jingle then ….don’t worry 1990s baby…. wink

Thanks for this analysis.
To also add, i will advise that whatever you can do, do it quickly and try to secure AOR or at least ITA before the canadian elections in October because you never know what may change after that.

Point is, whatever is within your control, make sure you control it as fast as possible.

yeah i did, but like ifeoma said, let your spouse write ielts even though he scores low, it will add up points for you guys but i'll suggest he aims for the highest scores, the more the better especially in these days of outrageous CRS draws.

All the best.

Good Morning, I have beeen a silent reader since January but now I am ready to unveil myself! I started my PR journey in January 2019.

So far:

IELTS completed grin overall 8
Wes accreditation of my masters completed
3 years of work experience

I dived into the pool last week with 451 points but based on recent draws I have to look for ways to boost my points. I am yet to claim any points for my spouse...I am already working towards that.

Please I have three questions that I need answered urgently:
1. If I get a gift deed from my parents, does that money need to be in my account till I get my PR?
2. I have read that it is better to notorize the gift deed, if I notorize the gift deed do I still need to include the witness signatures (this is based on the format I have seen here on Nairaland)
3. is it possible to book medicals at Qlife before ITA..

Thank you!

I am surprised you have 451
with my ielts of band 8, two certificates and 3 years experience, the score was 462; but you have a masters degree which is higher than " two or more certificates" so you cant be having 451, you should be around 465.

please re-check
